Luciano moved silently through the Grounds, un-noticed by the few students out this late at night. The backpack that was slung over his shoulder carried a few important items. When he had walked to the edge of the cliffs, he dropped the bag, and stood, looking over the cliff, down into the darkness below. He wondered if it were possible to see right down the water below in the day time. At ten 'o clock at night, there was no hope. Turning around, he picked the bag up again, and walked back a few metres from the edge. He knew that most girls didn't like heights, which made him choose his spot. Collapsing on the grass, he began to take out the contents of the bag. A single candle, a lighter, and a box of strawberries. Setting them out, and lighting the candle, he sat back to wait.

That morning at breakfast, he had dropped a note on Abigial Lurken's breakfast plate.
Your friend Lucy would like to meet you on the Cliffs. Tonight. 10:00.
He knew it wasn't an essay or anything, but it got the message across. He looked down at what he had brought with him. The candle was obviously romantic, and girls liked strawberries, didn't they? This had been very difficult for him, trying to decide on what to bring. He wanted her to be impressed, however he didn't want her to know that he had put so much thought into it. This show of his 'feelings' wasn't something he was at all comfortable with, as a person who had a mental wall against others that almost inpenetrable.

Abbey sat in the Great Hall, talking with her friends and as she got up to go ask Willow something she hadn’t noticed that someone came over to where she had been sitting and put a note in her plate but when she returned a few moments later she saw a folded note and her cheeks flushed. It was from Luciano, a boy who she liked but was so sure didn’t like her back. He confused her but she decided that it wouldn’t hurt to spend time with him, so she tucked the note in her pocket and began eating breakfast with her friends teasing her a little bit just because of the glint that played in her purple eyes.

When the time, she slipped away from her route of patrolling and snuck outside, relieved that she had the Prefect's Crest and an excuse that she had heard a few first years outside when she was going to the Dungeons, of course this wasn't true and she couldn't expect any of the students having the gull to do anything so reckless after the boy had just died, it would be horrible for someone to even think of doing that, but this was only the cliffs, right? This was completely different.

With that set in her mind, Abigail set out for the cliffs with her wand illuminating what her normal vision wouldn't be able to see, until she saw a distant figure by the cliffs, which made her feel giddy and excited but keeping calm, she fiddled with her blue necklace until she could see the set up Luciano had made for them. Her cheeks burned in affection as she deluminated her wand and greeted her friend with a soft smile. "Hi Luciano." Outside of classes it seemed to be the first time they had seen each other and the excitement in her heart hadn't stopped, nor did the nervousness she had in her stomach, making her feel tingly as she sat down beside him.

Luciano saw the bobbing light of a wand before he saw Abbey. The thought that the wand might belong to teacher came into his mind. He wasn't afraid of a teacher, and there was no way that he was leaving. But when Abbey sat down beside him, all unpleasant thoughts vanished "Hello Abbey" he said politely in return. Wondering if she was still opposed to being called that name, instead of her preferred Abigail, he shifted around so that he was facing her more "And how are you this evening?" his polite tone still present, made ever better by his British accent. Luciano wondered what was going trough her head. Was she excited about coming? Or had she been dreading all day? The absence of light made it difficult to read her facial expression.

He wasn't really sure what to do now. Supposing, when all else failed, he should just talk, even though it wasn't in his nature "Are you cold?" he asked, the first thing that cam to his head. Though they were almost in November, the nights were still quite chilly.

Abigail smiled at Luciano as she faced him as well. "I'm just fine," she answered. "How are you Luciano?" she asked gently and as she was asked if she was cold she admitted to herself that she was just a little bit cold but not enough to say anything really, but the thought of being closer too Luciano came up in her mind and she answered so she could possibly get closer to the boy she had a crush on, "Yes, a little. What about you?" She grinned as she played with the material of the blanket underneath them.
sorry for the lameness.

Luciano dipped his head "That's good" he replied, when she said she was fine "Well, I'm pretty good..." he said. There really hadn't been much going on in his life lately. Just a strange encounter with two people in Brightstone village "By the way" he said, looking sideways at Abbey "Do you know somebody named Willow?" he asked her. The girl had obviously known Abbey, how else would she have known about him? That was another thing he wanted to bring up. He blinked looking down "Would you like my jersey?" he said, making a move to pull it off.

As Luciano asked of Willow, a flash of overwhelming guilt struck Abigail Shawn. The two hadn’t spoken for a near fortnight and wished that they had, as she was beginning to feel rotten for avoiding her and anyone really. “She’s my best friend, why?” she asked, her violet eyes skimming Luciano with curiosity, wondering how he would know Will. In a flash of remembrance, she recalled sharing her forming feelings about Luciano to Willow and suddenly became wary if the Gryffindor had shared anything with him. “She didn’t share anything particularly embarrassing or offensive with you, right?” she asked, chewing on the inside of her cheek with her incisors.

Offering her his sweater was a sweet gesture but Abbey worried he would be cold, so she asked, “Are you sure? I don’t want you to be cold because of my stupidity.” The Prefect smiled, the lines in her face quirking in embarrassment and for some reason it looked good on Abigail. Her eyes lit up when she saw the boy and he made everything seem a little bit nicer to her. It was a definite plus, besides someone as sweet as Luciano Rossi even showing the tiniest hint of affection towards her was good. It was much different then Theodore and how he ended up treating her, she only hoped things wouldn’t change that drastically between them.

Luciano was a little surprised. From what he had seen of Willow, she seemed the absolute opposite of the Abbey he knew. Opposites attract. Then what did that make them? Luciano considered himself quite similar to Abbey, except for she might be a little more impatient than him. He shrugged it off. " I ran into her in Brightstone the other day" he said offhandedly"Uh... No" he said, wondering if she could tell that he wasn't telling the complete truth. He was normally very good at covered the truth smoothly.

Luciano almost wanted to tell her what Willow had said, about her being "Interested in him" or whatever the girl had said. He wanted Abbey to tell him that it was all true, but, his shyer side won, and he kept quiet. He smiled, handing his jersey to her "You could never be stupid" he told her. Glancing at her, Luciano didn't attempt to keep the warmth from his eyes.

A curious look festered it's way onto Abigail Lurken's soft features. Williow and Luciano talking to one another was not a particularly bad thing but her Gryffindor counterpart had the habit of sharing things that were private with people. "Was she mean? Will has the habit of doing that," she asked, remembering that it was another one of her habits. She had concern in her voice but hidden under that was relief that Willow hadn't told her crush anything too embarrassing about her or what she had told her about him. Of course, ever suspicious, Abigail would ask her friend about it at a later time.

Affection, although not something the violet eyed girl had grown up around, was something she could point out with ease. Luciano's words were exactly that, as were her short word. "Thanks." She smiled and as he handed her his sweater she put her arms out and slipped it on above her head. It was comfortable, soft and smelled of her crush which brought her to both blush and smile at him, her eyes on his nervously.

So so so so sorry!

Luciano could tell that she was curious about the interaction between him and Willow, and he couldn't help but smile slightly "She's very... Hard headed" he said, choosing his words carefully "No trouble though" he assured her though. Willow had been rather blunt, but Luciano could deal with people like that. He looked out over the edge of the cliff, even though though there wasn't anything to see in the pitch black.

He nodded, still with a slight smile. Not a man of many words, he sat in silence, wracking his brains for something to say. He hadn't been doing anything worth commenting about lately. Getting up. Going to classes if he could be bothered. Going to bed. Maybe the occasional surge of homework. Seeing Abbey was the highlight of what seemed to be his entire life. "So... Do you go back to England much?" he asked her. It was something that they had in common, the only thing he could really think of.
