Markov waited for his girlfriend to arrive. He smirked at the thought they were actually dating. He had tried to get a transfer to hogwarts that year but had gotten denied, he didn't even know why but he didn't really care any more. Brightstone weekends were enough time to see each other anyway.

Markov stopped leaning on a wall when he saw the short girl walking, looking for him. "Shay!" He yelled and waved as she turned to look. When she walked over to him, he grabbed her and kissed her. "Hey there."

Shaylah was excited to see Markov. She hadn't seen him since the last Brightstone weekend and she had missed him. The good thing about him not being at Hogwarts was that she could still beat people up. The second Markov saw her hitting someone, he pulled her off. Bad idea.
Shay smiled when she saw Markov stood next to a wall. She walked over to him and was immediately welcomed by his kiss. "Hey." She grinned. "How've you been??"

Markov shrugged and chose to go with the very cheesy line. "Better now that you're here." He grinned and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Where are we going than babe?" He was all set to spend loads of money on her. His parents were all up for him wooing her, they still wanted the engagement to work but it was Shaylahs' mum who said the girl should have free choice.

Shaylah shrugged. "Dunno. Could go to the Hog's head??" Shaylah didn't really care what they did. She just wanted to spend as much time with Markov before she had to go back off to Hogwarts. She would have to try and keep herself from beating up anyone she saw here. It would be hard not to beat up Taloola. Taloola was one of her main targets as it was so much fun.

Markov grinned and steered her in the direction of the pub. "Hogs head it is then." In the back of his mind Markov was wondering if it would be like this every time they saw each other. Just hagning out like mates. If it was he was going to get bored and end up hooking up with someone at school. "How's school been then?"

Shaylah shrugged. "Boring as always. I only ever talk to Sydney and Teddy. Everyone else gets beaten up if they come anywhere near me." She realised that Markov didn't actually know who Teddy was. "Teddy's a pretty decent guy. He's getting inside the Greens for me. He's Stacy's husband's son." Shaylah liked Teddy. He was one of the only decent guys she knew along with Markov.

Markov wasn't sure he liked the sound of this Teddy guy. For all Shaylah knew he could be playing her for the Green family. Hell, he could be playing her for the sake of it. Or worse, he could be trying to take her away from Markov. "D'you know you can trust him? Sounds a bit shifty to me." Of course, later that day, he would regret saying that.

Shaylah stopped walking and turned to frown up at him. "Do you not trust my judgement of people??" Shaylah had made sure she didn't show too much around Teddy at first. She knew it was dangerous to trust someone too much but now she knew she could trust him and couldn't believe that Markov didn't believe her.

Markov cursed himself inside his head while thinking of a way to get out of this. "No babe, I'm just making sure you're friends with the right sort of people." He didn't realise how controlling that sounded. Markov really wasn't good with actual relationships, he was more used to the f**k 'em and chuck 'em way of life. Though not so literally of course, he just snogged them.

Shaylah's eyes widened as she looked up at Markov. "Wait. Back up." She couldn't believe he was treating her like this. "You're saying that I can only make friends with people if you've confirmed that they are worthy of it?? Do you not think I'm able to judge that for myself??" She was getting angry with Markov now. Whatever soft spot she had had for him was evaporating very quickly.

Markov stopped walking. "What? No. Come on Shay, you know what I mean. I'm just looking out for you babe." He tried to put his arm back around his girlfriend, hopefully she wasn't going to be his ex. Markov had absolutely no experience with this kind of situation, he had never even heard of this situation before.

Shaylah pushed him away when he tried to put his arm back around her. She shook her head at him. "No. You're not looking out for me. You're being a typical boy. You're trying to control me and get me to do what you want." She looked away from his eyes as she found them too reeling. They were pulling her in and she couldn't handle it.

Markov literally took a step back from her. "Woah. You think I'm just like any other guy?" What hsock Markov the most was that that actually hurt him a bit. "Fine, you know what, if I'm just any other guy then how about you find yourself another one who wants to be told what he's doing yeah?" He was so annoyed right now. Markov didn't care that this was the opposite of what he wanted, he didn't care that Ivana would probably scream at him later, he didn't care about jack all at that moment. All he was focus on doing is walking slowly away from her beckwards, hoping with all of his might she would stop him.

Shaylah hated what she was doing to Markov but it had to be done. She couldn't stand people who wanted to control her. She prefered people who were there for her when she needed them but left her to do what she wanted. "Fine. I will. This time, I'll make sure he's not a complete control freak." Shaylah spun on her heals and walked away from him. She kept a strong face on but as soon as she was away from anyone who would know her, she leant against the wall and let the tears flow.

Markov clenched his jaw as she stormed off. He shoved his hands in his pockets fiercly and stormed in the other direction. If he had been old enough he probably would've gotten himself as drunk as possible until he forgot he had ever known her. Instead, as he wasn't old enough, he walked away and managed to get back to school after walking around town for about an hour first, finding the first slut he could find and dragging her behind the broom cupboard. Back to his old way of doing things, but even that didn't stop the pain, just distracted him from it for a little while.

Teddy walked along the streets of Brightstone. It felt good to be free from he school again, and soon it would be Christmas and he would see his sister again. Teddy was deep in thought about what he could nick for his sisters christmas present when he heard sobbing. While he had developed a rocky exterior, Teddy still had his inner nice guy inside who convinced him to just turn and see who was crying. The 'puff got one hell of a shock when he saw Shaylah, the toughest girl her knew, with tears runnig down her face. Carefully he walked over and, slightly scared in case she attacked, he spoke. "Shay? What happened hun?"

Shay jumped when she heard someone. It wasn't normal for her to let people sneak up on her like that but she had been deep in thought and hadn't been paying attention to what/who was around her. She saw it was Teddy and turned her face as she wiped tears from her cheeks. "I'm fine. I don't need your help." She liked Teddy and didn't want to push him away but she wasn't used to people seeing her cry. She spent her days of crying hidden away somewhere where nobody would find her. Brightstone didn't seem to have any of these types of places though so she was glad that it was Teddy who had found her and not some freak who thought they could become her friend.

Teddy wasn't like the traditional friend who pressured the person into telling them, no, he coudn't be bothered and if she wanted to speak she would. "Okay then. You want to hang around town with me?" He may not be the best of all best friends but even he wcould tell she shouldn't be alone. Mainly for the publics safety, he didn't want her commiting any homocides because she was upset or angry.

Shaylah couldn't see any reason to say no to his question. He was only being a concerned friend after all. Even if it was because he was concerned for the people who walked past Shaylah. "Yeah, sure." She walked over to him and forced a smile on her face. She kept her face covered with her hair for two reasons. The first was to cover the red blotchy eyes. The second was that she wasn't usually seen hanging around with puffs. Even if it was a puff like Teddy. "Any ideas as to where to go??"

Teddy smiled. "Hey, come here a second." He quickly performed the right spell to clear up the pink splotches over her face. "There you go hun." He smiled and shrigged. "I dunno, sweet shop?" He loved sweets, sugar of any kind would make him happy if the world was about to end. Teddy put his hands in his pockets and lead the way. "So, beaten up any Greens lately?" It was a subject he knew she was passionte about. The Greens were the enemy after all.

Shaylah's smile turned from one she was putting on into a genuine smile. "Thanks." She flipped her hair over her shoulders, not caring anymore who saw the two of them together. He was a great guy and he was there for her when she needed a friend. "Fine by me." She shrugged and walked in the direction of the shop. "I've got fifteen galleons on me if you want me to pay." Shaylah still had loads of money locked away in the bank. Her dad had always put a heap in there every month so she now had lots to spend.

Teddy paused for a split second before continuing his walk. "Pay. Right. Sure you can if you want to." He had forgotten Shaylah was used to actually buying things legally instead of just picking things up and walking out like he did. It really made him wonder if they were the same kind of person for a little bit before he forced the thought out of his head. Shaylah was an awesome girl and the only difference was she actually had cash to spend.

Shaylah crossed her arms over her chest and laughed as she looked over at Teddy. When was the last time you actually paid for something you bought from a shop??" She had never stolen anything in her life. Her dad would have killed her if she did. Then again, he had never wanted her to be a death eater when she was older and now she knew without a doubt that she wanted to be one. She didn't care what Sydney or Tracy thought about it. It was what she was going to do, no matter what.

Teddy laughed. "About a year ago. Just before I found out I could actually act." He grinned his cheeky grinned at her as they walked. Just as they reached the shop he was shoulder barged by a guy, he look about a year older, who also gave Shaylah evils. Very intense evils. Of course Teddy wasn't to know that the boy was her new ex boyfriend. "Do you know him or something?"

Shaylah looked at Markov as he glared at her. She didn't care anymore. She couldn't be bothered with his stupid behaviour. "He's my ex. Just ignore him. He's jealous." She knew that Markov would immediately hate any guy who Shaylah was with. She had known him long enough to know that much about him.
