Trudging through the snow, Riley Sparkles clutched her tea close to her chest, looking for a quiet place to be inspired. She had recently had the urge to write a song, but couldn't find the inspiration; or reason to write one. Riley thought back to the year she had at Hogwarts, the things she had learnt, the people she had met. Jerrod. . .she thought with butterflies in her stomach.
Riley had met Jerrod Green randomly one day, while lounging around on the lawn. She had never been so taken by a guy, although, seeing as she was only twelve, there hadn't been many guys at all. Even though Jerrod was in Slytherin, they got along fine, and there was no awkwardness between them. They had even spent a whole night together, just gazing at the stars. Riley couldn't stop thinking about him. That's where the thought hit her. Why not write a song about him? Riley mused with herself. She groaned; Because that would be weird. Riley spotted a slightly sheltered seat in the distance; she changed direction and headed towards it. Sitting on the bench, Riley pulled out her lyrics sheet and stared at it, waiting for inspiration to come.

Kamaria needed a break to herself. She needed this, because of her break did not pan out too well when her dad figured out that Danny Boyd, the boy that stole her heart had graduated just recently. They had long agreed to not have a relationship and stay best friends until she was ready for one, which she was not. It would also highly disappoint her father because he was not a pure-blood like she was. Kamaria did not mind that though. She loved Danny with all of her heart, at least that is what she has come to think of what she feels for Danny, and that is love. Kara was a good Ravenclaw, and he was a Hufflepuff, something else that Axel just did not like.

Then again, she also thought that her dad was just trying to be difficult. Now, Kara roamed the streets of Brightstone, her boots walking on the snow on the sidewalk. She was a fourth year now, and she was happy. Just a few more years of school and she would be on her way to life. That just seemed like magic to her. Her liquid silver eyes gazed around the scenery, until her eyes landed on a girl close to her age sitting alone on a bench. She recognized her from school, but not from Ravenclaw. Kara had always been the friendlier Zhefarovich twin in the school. Kara strolled right up to the girl and she smiled down upon her, “Lovely winter day, mind if I join you?” She was going to wait if the girl would shove her away or welcome her before she would introduce herself. Her pants were a light blue, and her hoodie was pink, so she did not look like the scary type at all.

A voice fluttered through Riley's thoughts, and she looked up to see a girl standing by her. She smiled back at the girl whom she supposed was around her age. Riley loved people, and was always up for meeting someone new. She didn't recognize the girl, but it didn't bother her. "Sure, of course you can!" Riley replied, shuffling over so there was room for the new-comer. Riley held out her hand to greet the girl. "My name is Riley Sparkles. What's your name?" Riley asked. She was keen for a distraction from Jerrod. And who knew? Maybe this girl would help give Riley some inspiration. Riley bit her tongue, waiting for the girl to reply before saying anything else - she had been told that she had a case of verbal diarrhea.

Kamaria was glad that this girl would be the type to welcome her to the environment and not shoo her off like some vermin on the streets. Kara took a seat next to the girl, crossing her long legs at the knees in a feminine manner. Her father had made her into a little lady over the past few years, and that was all it took. Kara had always been a bright one though, in her mind and attitude. "Thanks!" replied Kara with her soft, almost not noticeable British accent. Her silver eyes gazed down at the hand that was offered to her, before her own hand slid into hers and shook softly, before retreating to her lap. "My name is Kamaria Zhefarovich, but everyone just calls me Kara. What brings you out here, Riley?" Kara thought it was most interesting that Riley had an unusual last name. It was similar to how unusual her own was. The meaning of her last name was almost a contrast to her attitude. Kara gave a friendly smile to the other girl, in hope of making a new friend on this afternoon.

Riley returned the smile as the girl shook her hand. "Kamaria is such a pretty name!" Riley exclaimed. "Do you know what it means? Mine is something weird like, meadow or something. I don't think I was named for the meaning though, I think my mom just liked the name. Anyway, I'm out here because I am trying to find some inspiration. I've been wanting to write a song for awhile, but I'm struggling. It's so frustrating! What about you?" Riley questioned. She looked down at her empty paper with a huff. She hated feeling so frustrated; she would rather have fun. Writing songs used to be a huge passion, but all motivation had since left her.
"So I assume you go to Hogwarts? I'm in Gryffindor myself, transferred here last year. It's really interesting, so much better than home schooling!" Riley expressed.

Kara smiled politely when Riley commented on her name. It was unique, and she loved her father for picking such abnormal names for herself and her brother. Put her first and middle name together and it was like, bright like the moon. Kara answered, "Kamaria means 'like the moon' because I was born while the moon was high I think. But your name has a pretty meaning too. It is lovely to read in a meadow." Oh how that sounded to Ravenclaw! Kara thought as she wondered what it was like to write something. She was not a writer but she was a reader. "When it comes to inspiration, maybe think of something that makes your heart flutter with excitement. I came out here because I needed a break from my brother and dad." Kara was able to walk around Brightstone because there was someone always keeping an eye on her. Whom that was, she did not know. Kara smiled, "I do, I am a Ravenclaw. I would assume it is better than home schooling. I've been in Hogwarts since my first year." It was much better than going to Durmstrang in her opinion.

Riley grinned, "Oh wow, that's awesome that your name means something special! I like that it's about when you were born." Riley cocked an eyebrow when Kara said it would be lovely to read in a meadow. "Read? No way, it would be so much more fun to play a game, climb a tree or even just chill with your friends. It makes me feel like having a picnic. Though, I'm not sure about having one in this weather." She laughed slightly. Riley listened to what Kara said about inspiration. She thought for a bit, and Jerrod was the definite thing that made her heart flutter. "This may sound childish or something, but it's definitely a boy thats making my heart flutter. We've hung out quite a few times, and I just can't stop thinking about him; which is weird, I never used to be like this around boys." She nodded as Kara said why she had ventured out. "Ah yes, I understand. Sometimes people can just be too much." She smiled at her. "Oh Ravenclaw!" That would explain the reading! Riley thought. "I'm a Gryffindor myself. Oh your so lucky to have started from first year. I started Second Year, and it was a bit tough getting used to it. I'm glad mom decided that I'd be better off at a proper school!"
