Working away

[Koph]

The House Elves had just finished preparing the evenings feast, and as soon as it had been sent up to the Great Hall, they all began to clean up. Today, Koph was in charge of making sure each surface was so clean it sparkled, and as this little elve worked away, he hummed a happy tune under his breath. Koph loved to work, although his work load had been heavy lately. They were very low on workers, there were only him and a few more elves left in the kitchens, and he hoped the Headmaster would hire more soon!

 

[Pipi]

Pipi had just been given the job of her dreams.
She had spent the past 8 months grieving the death of the last member of the family she served.
They were a proud family of pure bloods. There had been strict instruction that any house elves left were to die with their masters should the time come that there were no more pureblood relatives.
Pipi knew there were more family members but they were not pure and she had been given strict instructions only to seek out pure relatives.
Pipi had with her a small black bag.
Inside lay several photographs and a silver necklace with a small blue jewel attached.
Pipi opened the door to the kitchens where she had been told she would be working.
She took a deep breath as she entered, hoping that she'd be accepted.
Pipi opened her eyes and gazed around;
Only a few house elves were around.
Pipi stood there for a moment, a small, white cloth wrapped around her lower body.
Pipi placed her bag by a table and watched as the house elves cleaned up.
