The fact that there was a room dedicated to lots of different kinds of books amazed Charlotte. She actually rather liked books and thought that the information they could hold was very intriguing. But what frustrated her was the fact that she could never actually read their words. Reading was definitely not Charlotte's thing and she found it extremely hard to read certain words. Trying to read made her feel like she was stupid and she hardly ever admitted that she couldn't read to people as she was scared of what they might think. She's never one to really care about that sort of thing but this was only just a minor exception.

Without knowing exactly why, Charlotte skipped straight through the library doors and almost fell over backwards when she saw the amount of books that lined every single shelf in the one room. It would take years for even the greatest reader in the world to read every single book. All year Charlotte had been trying to avoid the library but now she finally had the courage to step inside and happily took a seat at one of the wooden tables that were situated right next to a small window which overlooked the Hogwarts grounds. The library was only located on the fourth floor but you could still spot the great lawn and the forbidden forest.

Not soon after taking a seat, Charlotte found herself walking over to the nearest bookshelf and picking out a random book that was titled something Charlotte couldn't pronounce. She wanted to make it look like she was actually going to read something instead of just taking up an empty table for no reason and sat down as she opened the book to the first page. It was a rather thin book that had a small cauldron on the front cover. It looked like it was used for an educational purpose. She wasn't supposed to be doing potions until next semester but she wasn't even going to read it so there was no point anyway.

Charlotte sighed as she turned the page again and again, pretending to read what was written in the book. To her, none of the words had any meaning and she wished she was really able to interpret what was inside instead of just pretending. Maybe if she could actually learn to read then she would probably be the top of her class in every subject. Nonetheless, she loved books and knew that with them she could travel to a whole different world if she just knew how.
