Sebastian had been surprised when he had asked his grandmother if he could visit Willow in New Zealand and she had given him a quick yes. After her visit, his gran had gone on and on about what a sweet girl Willow was and how much she had reminded gran of herself at that age. Sebastian hadn't known what to think of that because if his gran was really anything like Willow, then she was even more of a rebel than he already thought she was.

As he waited in Brightstone, Sebastian wondered whether Willow would actually show up. With all the time that both of them spent in detention, it was difficult to know whether or not either of them would be able to make it. He was keeping his fingers crossed though that she wasn't in detention today because Bas was worried about Willow and wanted to check up on her. Of course he'd never tell her that for fear that she'd kick his arse. Instead, he had sent her an owl telling her that the school was feeling too crowded and he needed some time away from France. It wasn't exactly a lie because the school was a lot more cramped with the new Durmy and New Zealand students inside, but it wasn't as bad as he was making it seem.

Willow didn't know why she had been welcomed like that in the Rossi home but she was grateful. Going home at that point was out of the question because of a number of things one of them being her now calming to be father. How he knew he was her father was beyond her because Willow was one of the first people to say that Penelope Paradox could not keep her legs closed. She meet Bass in front where she said she would with the hood of her purple sweater drawn up.

She didn't want people to see her face at the moment especially if Dan was out. Stupid boy didn't know how to take a knee to the groin and call it a day. Willow had not issues serving him his ass for dinner on a daily bases but she didn't know that there where people that liked that kind of pain. She saw Bass almost at once and nodded to him in greeting. "Hogwarts for the cup and all that." She said rolling her eyes. She had a bit of school pride but she wasn't going crazy over it like most of her school.

Sebastian turned as he heard Willow's familiar voice behind him. "As if Paradox...the Beaux girl is going to kick your champions arse" he said with a laugh. Laughter always came easily to him when he was with her and for that he was grateful. "Missed me?" he teased as they began to walk. Thankfully, it was a really nice day out, so if they decided to stay outside, they wouldn't freeze to death.

He pushed his hands into the pocket of his hoodie and slowed down to keep pace with Willow. "Thanks for meeting up with me...I was getting so tired of being in school. All anyone is talking about is the tournament and OWLs. Can't wait until next year when it's all over" he said earnestly. This year was Bas's OWL year because apparently France thought it was better to have them in the student's sixth year rather than fifth which was what the other wizarding schools did. All of the extra work was beginning to drive him up the wall, and it was only one month into the year.

Willow too was happy to see a friendly face even though she was none to friendly herself. "Like a pick misses a guitar Bass." She said as she aimed a light punch against his shoulder blade. The day was nice but they where both in hoodies. The style was nothing like that but Willow didn't care much. The tendrils of curly hair that feel from her hood should have been sign of that enough.

"Yuck, that and the ball at your end will be extra sickening. I am happy Hogwarts didn't host it. If Dan had gotten the balls to ask me I would have served them back to him on a plate." She said looked to the other side. Willow rolled her eyes when exams where brought up. "I hate that. I have O.W.Ls this year. I want to die now so I don't have to do it but that would mean I would be waiting in hell for Penelope and Raf." She said shaking her head. Raf was an ok guy but to think that Penelope was her real mother. Willow was never going to accept that.

Sebastian groaned. He had forgotten all about the ball that came with the tournament. The headmaster had mentioned it, but he had put it out of his mind with all of the excitement over the first task and the champions. He chuckled and shook his head at Willow's comment about some guy named Dan. He didn't know who that was, but he felt sorry for him regardless. If the guy was on Willow's bad side, he had no chance. "I'm figuring Dan is probably keeping as far away from you as he can?" Bas half-asked Willow with a raised eyebrow. "Remind me to stay on your good side...I'd like to keep my buddies" he said in a low, serious voice.

When Willow mentioned that she'd be taking OWLs too, he gave her a sympathetic look. "Yeah, I know exactly what you mean." He gazed at her curiously wondering whether he should jump on the topic of Penelope since she had brought it up first. Deciding to live dangerously, Sebastian broached the topic. "I'm figuring things aren't any better with...Pene...them?" he asked, almost saying Penelope's name, but thinking better of it.

Willow stuck out her tongue at Bass. "You know I wouldn't do that to you. Your too much a good friend." She said then added. "If anything your death would be quick and easy." She said laughing. She didn't mean it. Willow was of a short temper but Bass was one that could never really tick her off. Most of her friends where that way not because they where careful around her but because she was usually cool around them. Unless someone was messing with them then it was all over.

Willow shook her head. "It there is one person I wish an early death too it Penelope. She has got me all sorts of f*cked up and she knows it. It doesn't help that she's trying to be a 'Mother' to me as of late. I heard it all the way to midnight when I fianlly got back to the house." She said. Willow had spent a total of three days at Bass' house before she had gotten the nerve to go home. The result had been her getting chewed out to no end.

Sebastian pretended to wipe the sweat off his brow and then chuckled. It was always so easy to be around Willow. She brought out the crazy side of him, which always felt good. At Beauxbatons, Sebastian never got away with half the things he did with Willow.

He listened to her as she spoke about Penelope. He still couldn't believe that Penelope was actually Willow's mother. When Willow had told him the story, he'd been too shocked to ask questions. He didn't really know what to say about what Willow had said about Penelope, so he figured saying nothing would work best. "Well...you can come stay at my place anytime. My gran thinks you're a great influence on me. Seriously. If she only knew" he said with a smirk, shaking his head.

Willow shook her head laughing it was really a breath a freash air for Willow send time with a best friend. She was usually either angry or indifferent at school because she didn't really pay attention to other people. With Bass Willow could be more like the girl she was meant to be. She only wished that the others where here so they could really tare up the town. The terror twins would have been a nice touch in her eyes.

Willow was still convinced she had no home but it was nice to know that there was one place she could always go back to in a pinch. "Thanks I will note that for later I mean I don't want to empose or worse clue your grandmother in on what I'm really like." She said with a smirk. She looked at Bass then thumped him on the shoulder. "So what are ya getting me for my birthday?" She asked as she looked Bass up and down.

Sebastian smiled as they kept walking, but it quickly turned to a smirk as Willow tried to get him to tell her what he'd gotten for her birthday. "You have a birthday coming up?" he asked with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I had no idea." The truth was that he had gone shopping for her gift when he'd come to Brightstone with his grandmother several weeks before. He wasn't planning on letting her know that though.

"Maybe I did have an idea...nah, when is it again?" he teased, scratching the top of his head as if he were really struggling to think about whether or not he remembered her birthday. It was difficult to forget since her birthday fell on one of the biggest days for wizards.

Luciano was browsing aimlessly in Dervish and Bangs, not looking for anything in particular. Now that he had no remaining family members that he cared about to buy Birthday and Christmas presents for, apart from his uncle, he had a lot more money than he was used to. In his family, the tradition had always been to give lavish and expensive presents, which had been all very exciting when he was a child, but once he had been expected to buy presents, his pockets had become considerably lighter. Though now that he had money, there was nothing that he particularly wanted to buy. He had no doubt that his father had discarded all of his possessions when he had left home, and Luciano had thought that he would need to buy a bunch of stuff when he got to New Zealand. It had been the opposite however. Now that he wasn't surrounded by wealth, it was easy to live on the bare necessities.

Looking away from an everlasting candle, Luciano made to walk uninterestedly out of the shop. However, he had forgotten about the step on the way out, and tripped, stumbling out into the fresh spring air "I'm sorry" he said, as he bumped into two people on the street, one of which he vaguely recognised from his year. He shoved his hands in his pockets, and began to walk back down towards the school.

Willow shoved Bass' shoulder sort of roughly. "Don't be f*cken thick Bass." She said laughing. She really didn't care if he had gotten her anything but she was going to give him a hard time about it anyway. It was what she did best. Some of her friends got urcked about it but they knew that it was all in good fun. Willow looked at the window of Dervish and Bangs spotting something that looked like a hand. A small smirk came on her face. "Sickish." She said nodding.

That was when a boy bumped into her. "Hey watch it numbnuts there're other people on the sidewalk too." She said loudly when she saw who it was. She saw that he was walking away so she ran up after him. "Yo Rossi wait up. How are things with Abs?" She asked with a half smile on her face. She knew his name, face and the fact that he was somewhat intrested in her friend Abbey Lurken. Other than that there was really no reason to be this friendly but she had to make up for calling him a name.

Sebastian continued to laugh as they walked. He enjoyed teasing Willow, mostly because she took it as well as she knew how to dish it, which was really well. Looking at the hand she pointed at, Sebastian turned his head to stare at it and nodded his approval. "Hell yeah...that is awesome."

Continuing to walk, Sebastian felt someone bump into him. "Watch it!" he called out, but he was pretty much drowned out by Willow's louder and more amusing comment. More amusing still was that Willow seemed to know the guy and walked ahead to catch up with him. With nothing better to do, Sebastian followed and arrived in time to hear her ask a question. He barely paid attention to the guy in front of her as he faced Willow. Not knowing that he wasn't the person being addressed, Sebastian raised his eyebrow, clearly confused. "You wait up, Paradox. You're the one who is running ahead and who the hell is Abs?" he asked, not remembering mentioning any 'Abs' to her ever.

Luciano ignored the couple's protests as he walked away. Some people kept up such a hard demeanour, himself being one of them, he knew. Though he liked to think that he wasn't so rude, just quiet. It was only when the girl called his name that he paid any attention to what they were saying. Turning slowly to face her, hands still in his pockets, Luciano looked uninterestedly into her eyes, which were no longer annoyed. It took him a few seconds to realise who she meant when she mentioned 'Abs' "I don't believe that's any of your business" he said smoothly, his British accent obvious. He wondered how on Earth this girl, whoever she was, knew that he had been hanging out with Abbey recently. He frowned slightly at the boy, who seemed to think that the girl was talking to him. As well as being rude, he realised that some people were blatantly thick.

Willow's lips pursed and she blinked slowly. "No you did not just say that." She said in a very low voice. "I'm only one of Abbey's better friends who happens to want to know how you two are getting on because I happen to want to take care of my friend. If you don't like it then my foot can just so happen to make it's way up your ass." She said her head snapping from side to side like the getto girls that she was so often around. Bass came up and started talking as if I was talking to him and Willow gave him a look that said quite clearly that he had better catch up or shut up. "Don't be thick Bass. This is Luciano Rossi, the boy that my friend happens to like and a guy in our year." She said crossing her arms and putting on a stance that said she was quite readly to take anyone on.

Even before Willow told him that she wasn't speaking to him, Sebastian figured it out when the other guy answered her rudely. He hadn't paid the guy any attention before, but now he turned to face him. He knew very well that Willow was capable of taking care of herself and before he had even opened up his mouth to tell the guy to back off and calm down, Willow was already handling the situation.

With somewhat of an introduction, Sebastian was startled to hear that the guy before him shared his last name. It was odd because in all the time that Sebastian had been a part of the wizarding world, both in Salem and in France, he had not come across another who shared his last name other than his grandmother. This guy was apparently British or at least lived there now.

"This is the Rossi you mentioned?" Bas asked in his New England accent, turning to Willow and raising his pierced eyebrow at her. He had been in France for over a year now, but his accent was still pretty apparent. Luciano didn't seem to be very friendly, but Sebastian hoped that saying something might ease the tension in the air. "We share the same last name, funny huh?" Sebastian began, turning back to Luciano with a half-smile on his face. "I'm Bas...well Sebastian but everyone calls me Bas."

Luciano raised his eyebrows. This girl seemed tough, but he wasn't here for a fight "Well then, if you can't keep your nose out of my business. We are fine. I don't know what you have heard otherwise" he said, not giving anything away. He didn't tell anybody details of his personal life, especially not hard-ass girls he barely even knew. He watched, a little amused a the girl had to explain to the other boy. His hand twitched a little, and he did a mental double take, when she said that he was 'The boy my friend happens to like' Well that was interesting, and had put him in a much better mood.

Luciano frowned slightly. He had been mentioned? He only ever remembered meeting two people properly at the school, but somehow all these other people seemed to know him. The frown was still upon his face as the boy, Sebastian, started to talk to him "Hilarious" he replied, face unchanging. He refused to have a special 'connection' to this boy, just because they shared the same last name.

Willow was Sherlock Holmes in a girl's body. Most of her friends said so. She had seen the way Abbey looked his way but make it look like she wasn't. Willow wanted to laugh when it happened. "That's all you had to say you know. I didn't want all the gory detailes." She said rolling her eyes. There was something in Luciano's eyes that made it seem lile he was pleased that Abbey was into him. If he didn't know this himself Willow thought that she could have a whole lot of fun with it. The other part of her didn't like the work that involved. Lazyness won over evil thoughts.

"I know right." She said after Bas said his piece. "It's great to see this because I usually can't stand the people that share my last name. By the way most people know me as Paradox." She said tossing a hello nod Luciano's way. She was the type to shake hands a lot. Not since she found out there was something more her style that she could do. She saw that his face had stayed frozen to Bas and rolled her eyes. "Looked like homeboy can't crack a smile." She said a a teasing sort of way.

The half-smile on Sebastian's face froze at Luciano's comment. He could take a hint like anyone else and the guy before them was definitely giving off vibes of not being interested in carrying on the conversation. Bas glanced at Willow as she jumped right into the conversation, grateful that she was with him for this awkward moment.

"Guess not" he mumbled, still looking curiously at Luciano's face. He didn't really know why he was looking at him at first and then realized that he was looking for any similarities in their faces. It was hard to tell though and since Sebastian didn't want to stare, he looked away down toward the street. He was annoyed for some reason at Luciano's lack of interest though he couldn't understand why. It was probably just some stupid coincidence that the two guys shared the same name. There have to be a million Rossis out there, right? he thought to himself, trying to shrug off the wierd feeling he was getting.

Luciano's eyes flicked towards the sky. He could tell it was impossible to win with this girl. Not that he wanted in any way to try and get along with her or be 'Friends'. If she was friends with Abbey then he would be civil. But that was as far as it went. His attention turned to the other boy, who seemed hurt by his lack of interest in the shared name. Sighing lightly, he supposed he shouldn't be rude "Where does your name come from?" he asked, his un-interest apparent. He couldn't say that he really cared about sharing a last name with someone, unlike Willow, who has said she couldn't stand it. There must be plenty of Rossi's out there, it was pure coincidence.

Truthfully, he was glad there was someone else with the same name, that didn't belong in his family. He wanted to escape the name that was so exclusive. He thought himself unlucky to be born into the name.

Sebastian gave the guy a weird look before shrugging his shoulders. "My father" he deadpanned and then smirked. He didn't know what kind of answer the guy expected from him. "I don't know. I guess he was Italian or something. I never met him so I wouldn't know." Sebastian said all of this in a nonchalant tone as if it didn't matter to him that he knew so little about the man who was his father. In truth, though, he was quite curious to find out more about the man who had gotten his mother pregnant and then left her.

For the short time that he had his mother in his life, Sebastian rarely heard her even talk about Sebastian's father and she certainly never mentioned him by name. It wasn't until years after her death that he even had contact with anyone from his father's family, and his grandmother rarely spoke about his dad either. It was pretty odd actually that she didn't talk about him or have any pictures lying around the house. It was probably something he should look into.
