Second day in New Zealand and already Madlyn was getting pretty much all attention this morning. She ought to be use to it by now but it still felt awkward when you were walking along side your mom who's about 5'0 and her daughter nearly reaching six feet soon. "Don't worry Madlyn, you'll do well at Hogwarts" her mother express with a kind voice. Making Madly always feel safe when she hears her mother trying to comfort her.
"Its not that mom, just afraid of hurting someone. Doctors says I'm not gonna stop growing don't forget that too" Madlyn sighed a little. She was clutching the board her father had made her recently. Today Madlyn was going to break in a few moments, trashing it while her mother attended to the shopping that morning. "Mom if I grow anymore, no more boarding for me" she pouted with a sigh again. Though her mother was already stroking Madlyn side, since she was to small to reach her shoulders. "It be okay" Iris said again. "I'm sure your father will make you another one soon" she spoke reassuring her daughter. Who physically will have a hard time adjusting to her new school and life. "Now go run along and skate hun, I have to go shopping. Meet me here" she pointed to a sign and made sure she said it serious enough for her to understand. Madlyn nodded and walk away.
When she reach the middle of the village she set the board down and started to skid down the streets. If anyone was paying attention, which they were they would've take notice of the tall lengthy girl. Her hair twisted in braids making it easy for her to pay attention. Iris had braided her daughter hair this morning while Madlyn had been laying down. It was manageable for her, she could board without crashing into anything. Though there was doubt anything would harm Madlyn. She attempted a grind against a very heavy and large pole that laid flat against the pavement of the village. Madlyn love to board it was her passion. Anyone who knew her previously would know that about Madllyn. Even if the numbers were low her friends respected that about her. Madlyn maneuver the board with her feet and let it guide her as she went. At her attempt doing a ollie she fell, losing her balance mid-way. Madlyn had been lucky no one was near but she stay seated, her torn jean rip by the knee. Damn it! Mom going to kill be this time for sure. This was the sixth time this month she had rip another pair of jean. Madlyn held the jean in place. "Maybe a little glue might hold it up" she mumble to herself.
