Davina Lesley, currently trying to figure out where she was, made her way in the Student Lounge. She stopped and blinked. She hadn't meant to be there, she had been looking for the Library but she had found this room instead. There hadn't really been any particular reason as to why she needed to be in the library but she wanted to look around and get to know the place that would be her home for the next seven years. Slowly, her English had been getting better, her accent was still overwhelmingly Bulgarian and she often messed up her words, but she was getting much better. After all she had only been learning the language for a little under a year. She had to admit that she was a little jealous of Damita. She was extremely good with languages as it turned out and she had learned English very quickly, she never got her words confused and she didn't slip back into Bulgarian like Davina did. Sometimes Davina didn't even notice she was speaking Bulgarian until the person was looking at her with a strange expression and she would realise that she had stopped speaking English. It embarrassed her to no end, but there was nothing she could do about it. Not really, the best thing she could think of to do, was to learn English quicker and then maybe not to get so upset when some-one mentioned her mistakes in pronunciation or context. It was something she was rather sensitive about, though she tried not to show it, but it still got to her. She looked around the room, expecting it to have people in it, but it was completely empty. She raised an eyebrow, considering there were so many people in the school, she would have thought that at least some one would have come in here. At least she had found a place she could spread out and sketch.

Davina placed herself on the floor and grabbed her sketchpad from her pocket. Her mother had spelled it to make it smaller when she asked it to be pocket sized and to be bigger when she wanted it to be. It was one of the spells she really wanted to learn, it would certainly help her alot. She lie flat on her stomach with her legs in the air behind her and retrieved her pencils and ink. This room would be a great place to think in, if only it would be this quiet all the time, she hoped it would be quiet, that would be cool. She doubted very much however that it would be this quiet forever. She bit her lip and kicked her legs slightly as she looked around the room for some inspiration. She looked down at her shirt and smiled, it was kind of lacy and it was a cream sort of colour, she had the perfect idea for a cream coloured wedding dress. Her mother had gotten married in cream, considering that white was the colour of death.

Sometimes hanging out with Vladimir was not a good idea. Blaine Matthias knew that the boy was his best friend and all, but Vladimir could be a real downer and just plain awful. At the same time, Blaine loved it. He sometimes wondered why Vladimir would not let him bully Belladonna Metzger though. That was also a downer. She seemed really fun to mess with but Vladimir said that she was off limits to everyone but him. Maybe it was a revenge thing. Until he had his revenge, no one could mess with that Gryffindor. Still, Blaine almost wanted a bird of his own to really knock down a few pegs. That was one thing that he wanted more than anything, but to find a bird to knock down a few pegs was proving to be difficult. Blaine was not really looking, but he knew that Vladimir definitely was not. The chat between the two was nothing short of murmurs as they walked about the school, trying to find something to do which could mean bad for whoever crossed their path or gained their collective interests.

Walking into the student lounge, Blaine felt Vladimir put his hand onto his shoulder and then nodded ahead. Blaine could now see a girl, her legs in the air and in a skirt the color of cream. Blaine looked to Vladimir and whispered, "She's hot." Blaine did not recognize the signs of being Part-Veela at all, and he seemed to really like the girl, but it was all because of her looks, nothing else. Blaine simply walked forward, toward the mystery girl somewhat close to Vladimir. The girl was drawing, and Blaine could not see what it was. Of course, he was not the first boy to attack the girl. Instead Blaine was a little taken aback by the whole thing, but then again he was really used to Vladimir being like he is, and making him roll those amber eyes. The Ravenclaw wished that Vladimir would not be so harsh but when the Slytherin mentioned one harsh insult, he looked over at the girl, not believing what he was hearing, but then again, it was quite true.

Vladimir Zhefarovich picked at his Slytherin robes and wondered what else he had to do. He was talking to Blaine, but it was not to important. Vladimir had some issues right now. He could not believe that his first friend was a bloody half-breed and how everything was ruined. He actually liked it, but he did not want to have to think about that. Vladimir was just so bitter about it, and he was currently talking about that to Blaine. Blaine seemed to be a bit more understanding than anyone else. Zinaida was probably planning on giving him hell for it, if not seeking him out right now. 'She was always about breaking the family laws; it is so stupid. She will get herself killed if she keeps up with things like that,' thought Vladimir with a shake of his head. His sister drove him nuts, and he was only worrying and such about her because he did not want her to end up being killed off by the Patriarch. With Asparuh back, he was not sure on what happened while he was away, but he had definitely changed for the worst.

Entering a room, Vladimir saw something that could take his mind off of his rather morbid thoughts. Vladimir nodded toward the girl with legs stuck up in the air, and with a skirt on. With being around Belladonna, he could almost see that she was Part-Veela. He rolled his eyes when Blaine said that she was hot. Seriously? She was a filthy half-breed but perhaps Blaine could not see that. Vladimir had built up a little bit of an immunity against them, but it was not much. He knew to keep his distance. However he made his presence known, "Huh, looks like this school is infested with a bunch of half-breeds. You'd think one is enough in our year." Vladimir was still bitter about the whole thing with Belladonna, so he held a special sort of hate for Part-Veelas in his mind. Even if his family did have one here and there. It did not matter to him in the least bit. He hated the things.

Davina Lesley, continued on with her drawing. She loved to draw. It was true that she was not drawing anything of interest to a lot of people, people who liked animals, or people or those funny cartoon things she had seen people draw before. She didn't know what they were, but they were quite popular she had found. She was so engrossed in her drawing that she failed to notice when she was no longer alone in the room. She flipped her pencil over and rubbed away the initial lines of the dress to make way for a veil she that she had thought up days ago. She'd just not had any thoughts on the actual dress before. She nodded at her design and almost jumped when she heard a boy's voice in the room with her. She stopped kicking her legs and turned her hear to the direction the voice had come from and noticed that there were actually two people there. They had called her something. Half-breed was it? Davina blinked. She didn't understand. That was the same as what some of the people in Varna called her. But these boys weren't from Varna as far as she could tell. At least she had not seen them around before.

Davina sat up, her legs tucked under her and her book still in front of her where she had been laying on the floor drawing. These boys were mean and she knew she should feel insulted, but she hadn't understood the insult back in Varna and she still didn't understand it now. It was one of the reasons that had moved, she knew that, but she still didn't get it. Her mother would never explain it to her. Davina tilted her head and bit her lip. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to admit to the pair that she didn't understand, or if she should fake that she did. However, she wasn't particularly bright and if she didn't know still, how was she ever going to figure it out. "I do not understand." She told them, pushing her hair out of her face, looking directly at them now. Her body was angled towards them, it was polite and she was nothing if not polite. She was unsure as to which of the boys had spoken, but she was still clueless. "English is bad." She continued, probably revealing more then she initially should have, but she was an incredibly nice person, she liked to tell people things. Even if it wasn't a good idea. Though they would surely have figured out she was bad at English eventually anyway.

Vladimir looked over at Blaine and just knew that he would be hopeless with this. He was so struck by the beauty of the half-breed while Vladimir was unfazed. He preferred to keep his distance. Vladimir rolled his eyes and he doubted that the Ravenclaw would prove much use for this. Vladimir sighed and he groaned, "Blaine, can you not be such a tool right now? Step away from the half-breed, you idiot." Blaine really had a thing for cute girls for some reason. Shaking his head, he turned his attention to the half-breed and with his glare down at her, it was obvious to see that he was one of those that did not like her kind here. Vladimir thought about banishing her drawings into the fire since he did not know how to cast the spell to conjure fire. For some reason, she did not seem to be hurt by what he had said. That made him narrow his eyes, and doubted that she really knew what that meant. Belladonna didn't know. It could be possible that she did not know. However he also recognized the accent. French? Maybe.

She did not understand, and then proceeded to explain that her English was bad. Vladimir raised an eyebrow, and wondered if he knew French. No. He didn't. Not enough. He knew a few choice phrases but he did not have anything to really counter this. "If your English is bad, then why are you even here?" Small words might be easier for her to understand. English bad or not, she might be able to understand that at least. Vladimir might have been able to play charades and call her a bird there, but he did not want to make a fool of himself. Perhaps he could get Blaine to do that for him if he had not sent him five feet back. Vladimir sighed and tried to think of how to tell her that she was bad and needed to be taught that, but still could not even think of how to do that to someone who just did not understand English that much. If not, then she must be failing her lessons. She was indeed the perfect target.
