The blonde had chosen to stay around the break at Hogwarts. So it was no coming back for the blonde. Gabriella had spend most of her days into the library non stop learning so that she could get her good grades back. It was actually nice to have some silence around her. No parents to say how she should do things, and no friends to distract her. She felt a bit guilty about thinking that. Gabriella had enjoyed the Yule Ball together with Marcos and she really saw him as a good friend. But she didn't knew what to say about their friendship more. She felt the battle inside her head about Marcos. And she knew what her parents would think about all of this. So Gabriella went outside to take a walk around the lake, perhaps that could clear her mind. She had no idea what she wanted or who she was or wanted to become. It was so unsure and she hated it.

Gabriella found a spot in the grass after a while and went sitting there. She looked at the beautiful view from the lake and noticed a small smile appeared on her face. This was a good choice of coming here. The library was needed to be there, but it was also a closed feeling. Perhaps she should do a walk outside more. Gabriella took a book out of her bag and started reading it. The study had to go on but outside was more peacefull at the moment.

Marcos had always enjoyed being outside more than inside, it was just natural as he loved quidditch more than classes, but he liked the fresh air the outdoors provided him with, something that was akin to calming. The boy had greater reason to be outdoors that day, namely the girl which sat on his mind. He liked Gabriella, he had always liked the other girl. She was beautiful, smart and incredible in every meaning of the word, of course he would want to be around her. The last few months had also been good to just spend time with her. Sitting and just enjoying her company as friends, but admittedly, as Marcos had begun realising why others paired up with each other in relationships he was thinking about him Gabriella in that way. He wanted to spend that time with her. He liked her, maybe it was in that way.

As he walked around the grounds, he spotted exactly who had been on his mind in front of him, sat by the lake, clearly reading a book, he wasn't sure if he should go over to her, but he did have some books in his bag that he could read with her, and the school was so empty so they could spend the time without worrying about to others, so Marcos decided he would join her. The boy walked over and when he got close, "Gabriella! Hey," being sure to get attention so it wasn't too much of a surprise when he turned up right next to her. He got close enough and stopped, "Do you mind if I join you?" the boy asked more nervous than the first few words that he'd said in attracting her attention. He hoped she would want to spend the time with him and that she wasn't entirely bored of him. After all, he thought that gabriella liked him, but maybe not in the same way as he was maybe growing to like her.

Gabriella was all into the book of Astronomy when she heard a familliar voice. It didn't took long to guess who it was. Marcos and she had spend so much time, but still Gabriella doubted their friendship sometimes. Perhaps she just had to ask about how true it was and if it wasn't only to comfort her and be nice. Marcos was a nice person she knew that by know, but was it because he liked her or that he was a nice person overall? The blonde looked behind her and wanted to act normal but seeing Marcos made her more happy than she thought it would be. A friendly face after all those days in the library wasn't bad at all. '' Hey!'' The blonde said with a smile and hold her book inside of her hand. Ofcourse Marcos wouldn't just leave, he would want to stay and Gabriella had a difficult decesion now. She had to study ofcourse, but she would let down Marcos if she would send him away. Perhaps he would understand, but on the other hand they could talk for a bit couldn't they? It took longer than Gabriella had hoped to make a decesion so she didn't hoped that would be weird for Marcos. '' It's alright. Though I am very busy with my study. I hope you understand.. But I can take a break for a bit.'' She added, because otherwise Marcos would go away perhaps. And deep down she didn't want that. Perhaps this was a good time to really talk and not about how they were looking in their dress or suit at the Yule Ball, but real talk about stuff. Gabriella was nervous to ask the things but she figured it was needed. '' Did you have a nice break?'' Gabriella started off, she wanted to pinch herself at the moment for talking around it already. But she wanted to welcome Marcos first, perhaps that was the normal thing to do.

Marcos smiled at her, "Oh that's okay, we don't need to talk," The boy took a seat next to her and from his bag pulled out one of the school books and showed it to her. He wouldn't mind studying with her in the comfortable silence they could have as friends. He knew that studying was important for Gabriella, they'd spent enough time together for him to have realised that she worked very hard and tended to not always get the breaks or recognition she needed. The boy had also realised that she was unjustifiably hard on herself, when there was no reason for her to be. He had never known her to be anything other than a person anyone could look up to. She was nice, friendly, she was studious and smart. He liked her, and he belived that she was a good person. At the question he nodded, "I did, it's always nice to get a break from the classes and the studying and the work," he said with a smile, he wondered if she had actually taken a break during the holidays, but he knew there were just some who never took the necessary breaks. "Did you have a nice break?" The gryffindor returned, he wanted to keep the conversation light, knowing they didn't need to actually talk about anything other than what they'd done and their studies before they could just work together in comfortable silence. He would be happy with that. Very happy with that. Marcos didn't think she liked him in the same way he liked her, and he was perfectly okay with that, every person was different, they approached issues differently, did different things. He knew that if she didn't like him back, he'd want to remain her friend and his own affections for her would go away. But, for now, he just let himself be in her company.
