Kate walked slowly up the steps to the North Tower. She didn't know why she was going to all the effort to get some fresh air when all she had to do was go outside but she wanted to get a view today and have a nice rest where nobody would distract her.Well hopefully she wouldn't mind if there was someone she knew up there but she would be slightly peeved if there was a total stranger there. But she was more than half ways up so she would have to deal with it.She was please when she reached the top to find she was by herself. She took a small peek over the side of the tower and felt her dinner stir so she quickly walked away from the edge and sat down on a bench at the other side.It was turning into the evening and Kate could already see some stars coming.Even though this was the start of her fourth year she still couldn't get used to the different stars. It was just so weird not seing the plough and the north star.Kate stood back up and slowly walked to the edge. She took a deep breath and stood by the edge and held on tightly to the ledge.Instead of looking down she looked up and gazed at the sky

Georgiana let her feet take her where ever these days. Tonight they seemed to heading towards the North Tower, which she didn't quite agree with. But tonight she let it be, and along with it. Ending up in the quiet tower she let herself lean over the edge and watch all the other students walking the grounds, to and from different places. She didn't realieze there was someone else in the tower and let out a sigh and turned. She noticed a piece of clothing blowing in the breeze from around the corner. Walking around Georgie noticed a girl her age looking up at the sky, upon a closer inspection she noticed the girl was familar, but she couldn't place the face. "Hello," the young girl asked to the other girl standing in the tower. Georgiana glanced at the sky to see what was so special up there, however she realized it was actually very beautiful out tonight.

Kate was enjoying looking at the sky.It was one of the reasons she loved astronomy. She liked to learn about the stars and the universe and everything in it.She turned suddenly when she heard someone speak behind her.She knew the face was familiar but she couldn't place it "Hey"she said smiling but it was annoying her that she couldn't remember where she had seen this girl before. "Have I spoken to you before"Kate asked quite suddenly. She felt a blush come to her cheeks for being so rude. "Sorry"she said sheepishly turning back to look at the sky.

Georgiana looked back to the girl as she replied to her. Instantly by her voice she reconized the voice as someone who belonged to her brother's former house. "Yeah I think we have," she replied back to her. Georgie tilted her head to the side wondering why the girl had said sorry. "No I'm sorry for intrupting you, I thought I reconized you, which I do I mean, that's why I said Hello," she rambled off not used to speaking to people in such a way. It was an awkward moment while she waited for the girl to reply to her. She hadn't been outside of her small circle of friends since her boyfriend ended their relationship, since then she stuck to friends in her own house.

Kate remembered "Your Kayden's sister aren't you?"She asked not completely sure, she was sure she had met her at the first year Yule Ball as well and maybe one of their birthdays,Kate couldn't remember. She hadn't seen either of them in ages.Kate was confused, they were both saying sorry and there was an awkward silence "Don't worry, its grand"Kate said smiling still a small bit confused but pushed that aside. "I'm really sorry but I can't remember your name"Kate said feeling extremely awkward but it had to be said as she couldn't remember her name though she new it sounded something like Georgina or something like that.

Georgiana nodded to the girl's question. Her brother hadn't been famous by anymeans at the school but he had managed to make a few friends before leaving and she was glad the girl remembered him. "Yeah, he's at Salem Academy now," she said filling in the girl incase she and the other Hufflepuffs didn't know what had happened to him. Georgie smiled at the girl glad he wasn't upset she had ruined the quietness of the tower. "Oh, I'm Georgiana, but some call me Georgie," she said ignoring the ache in her heart as she said her nickname that her exboyfriend had called her, he was the reason why so many people used it, because he usually only had called her by Georgie. It was a painful memory and she was glad that each day it got easier to ignore the pain.

Kate nodded, she hadn't really known Kayden,it had been more through her sister that she had met and talked to him.She had never heard of the Salem academy but then again Kate's knowledge of the magical world was limited."I hope he finds it okay there"Kate said smiling. Kate grinned she knew it had been something like that."Well its nice to meet you Georgiana,I'm Kate"She said smiling and putting out her hand.May as well introduce themselves properly since that awkward beginning to the conversation. "So how are you finding school this year?"Kate asked. She had been finding it hard, trying to do a lot of homework with bad head aches and little sleep was kind of hard, but thankfully she was managing fine so far.

Georgiana nodded agreeing with the girl, she recieved letters from her brother time to time but he never mentioned to her if he liked the school and how many friends he did have there. It made her worry about him but she knew he grew out of his shyness thanks to Kate's sister and Shiloh back in first and second year. "I think he's doing pretty well," she said to the other girl. It was strange talking to Kate but she found that she actually enjoyed talking with her, it made her calm down all the emotions running through her all the time and she almost felt like she could be happy again. Shaking the girls hand she wondered if the two would actually become friends this time around of meeting each other or if they'd stay acquaintances. "It's alright I suppose, classes keep getting harder but that figures with all of our tests next year, you?" Georgie said with a small smile to the other girl.

Kate smiled "That's good"She said. She hadn't known him personally but from what Sara had told her he seemed like a nice person.Kate felt the thumbing in her head to lesson a bit and get quieter. Kate sighed in relief,it was much nicer when the head aches went to a dull ache in her head,it made thinking much easier and easier to focus on the conversation at hand.Kate nodded "I know,if I were back in Ireland I'd be getting an exam like that this year"Kate said wondering how all her friends were doing. They were only in third year back there. Kate looked up to the sky and sighed. She felt as if she was going to go through some tough times before this school year was out. She knew that the doctors had given her the wrong diagnosis and she knew she had something worse. She was scared of what the other outcome would bring but she knew she had to stay strong. "School is okay,I'm sure we'll as be grand"Kate said reassuring herself more than Georgiana. "So do any exciting over the holidays?"Kate asked her smile back and ready to talk about more happier things than school.
