Cameron was tired. He was sick and he was tired and it was all Thomas Chad Hayes' fault. He did everything he possibly could to make Cameron's life miserable. He tried to trip him down stairs, broke things and blamed it on him, and generally just tried to mess with Cameron's and Austiin's relationship. He hadn't succeeded yet, but the malicious thought was there and it was really beginning to get on Cameron's nerves. Especially now that he was being mean to Mai-ling, just because she was living in the house as well. It was true that Tommy had been there first, but this was ridiculous. He seemed to just wish malicious intent on everyone in this family, though he seemed to like Abby enough. Maybe Cam should have gotten Abby to talk to the creature. As it was, Austiin had gotten sick of all the fighting and now had ordered the pair to get over their hostility and become friends. Cameron rolled his eyes and walked down the stairs, carefully, and made his way to the lounge room. Tommy was already waiting there and Cameron glared at the kid on his way down. Though it was nice to have walked down the stairs and not have to make a grab for the banister. Mai-ling was running around in the kitchen, making a mess as per usual and Tommy was sitting quietly on the lounge, almost as if he had something horrible planned. Cameron watched him the entire time it took him to move from the staircase over to the lounge chair. As he did so, Austiin, stood between the two and cleared his throat. "Now listen here you too. I am sick and tired of whatever feud it is that you have going on. But this is my house and you will do as I say. Now I am going over to Lexi's to see the twins and I order that you two be friends by the time I get back. I will be gone for a couple of hours. Do you think you can handle that?" Cameron and Tommy nodded. Cameron watched Austiin walk out of the house and heard a pop as he apparated away. Cameron crossed his arms over his chest and wondered just which of them was going to go first in this. As it turned out, it was going to be him. Cam looked at Tommy. "So what exactly is your deal anyway?"

Tommy frowned. This was cruelty, surely. He nodded as Austiin spoke, not really absorbing what was said. He knew that Austiin was probably going on about how they had to get along. When he finally apparated away, Tommy felt a bubble of relief pop in his chest. He rested on the couch with his arms on his chest stubbornly. Cameron sat across from him. It was almost like looking into a mirror, Cameron did not like this either. At least he was not the only one displeased. However, Cameron did not seem to want to start this. Tommy would have to take a stand, because he was not allowed to write to Victoria until he was on better terms with Cameron. That was his catalyst. He sighed and rested his hands in his lap, before finally looking up at Cameron. "Hello," he muttered quietly, trying to think of something that would make this all go faster. Much to his relief, Cameron decided to say something constructive first. Tommy already had a plan of his own. Something he learnt very quickly was that Austiin was easily manipulated by children. He often tried to keep a firm hand, but inevitably backed down from his own threats and warnings. "Can we just say we're friends when he gets back?" That would be so much simpler. He hopped off the couch and put his hands on his hips. "All we have to do is smile and completely ignore each other. Everyone's happy. Aussie thinks we're friends, you can do whatever it is you do, and I can write." That's how this young boy saw it, anyway. He expected Cameron to see along the same lines, surely the grown man wasn't actually interested in being friends. Cameron was like... three times his age. Tommy had not ambition of being his friend. "Whaddaya say?"

Cameron raised his eyebrow slightly as he listened to Tommy talk. He seemed to have everything all worked out, well how about that? What had he been doing all morning? Thinking about what he was going to say? Was that it? This was ridiculous, he was being told what to do by a ten year old. That was just not right. How did things even get to this point in his life? Cameron heard a noise from the kitchen and turned his head toward the room when he saw Mai-ling walking out, covered in flour. Cameron rolled his eyes and sighed. She was going to have to wait, Cam was busy right now. He turned back to Tommy and sighed, he had kind of at least been hoping that Tommy was willing to make a go of this, but what was he thinking? This kid was evil and surely he just wanted them to appear to be friends, so that when Cameron died under suspicious circumstances, no-one would suspect him. "Tommy, look. I would like to just get out of here and help Mai, but... you know just as well as I do... that Austiin would see right through, especially seeing as I am a terribly liar when it comes to you." He told him, leaning back in the lounge chair and looking towards the roof. They were going to have to figure something out, otherwise none of this was going to work. "Why don't we start with you telling me, what the problem is?" He suggested, still looking at the ceiling. He really was rather tired, why couldn't it have been after lunch that they had to make up?

Why couldn't Cameron just go with his idea? What was wrong with him, did he have some sort of want to be friends? Tommy folded his arms across his chest and avoided eye contact. This was the worse thing ever. When Camron's kid came out of the kitchen - covered in flour, Tommy rolled his eyes. "Well, it's nice to know that you think my friendship is more important than your kid's cleanliness," she was covered in flour for Merlin's sake. Even Tommy had the urge to throw her in a bath or something to clean her off. She was making a mess all over the floor. Austiin would have a fit. Tommy would probably begin to sneeze, and knowing that girl's balance, she was probably going to slip over and crack her head open. Then there'd be blood everywhere. "It's not too hard to lie, Cameron," surely Cameron was a child once, unless he spontaneously grew off a tree or something. "Just say: yes, we are friends, it's much similar that way." He had to complicate everything. He glanced at Mai-ling, who seemed to be moving right to him. He nearly jumped from the couch when she waddled right onto it, leaving flour in her wake. He looked at Cameron, totally ignoring what it was he was saying. "My current problem is that Mai is covered in flour and is carrying it all over the place."
