Ai was still a bit gloomy. And there were a number of reasons for her to be. Her first year had gone well, when it came to Academics, but the rest was not going smoothly. She already got herself in a lot of fights lately and most of her opponents were older than her as far as she knew. But, being herself who doesn't give up, she got herself into a lot of trouble. Another of her problem was the recent Christmas Quidditch Game. Their team had lost and she had allowed the opposing team to score. How much of a failure can she get? And the one which made up her most problem in Hogwarts was Rumor Has It.

The gossip magazine had featured her in the last issue and it was really frustrating indeed. The young Hufflepuff was featured because of her closeness with her twin brother. Recently, the whispers she would hear about her lessened, but it would gradually increase when she is seen with her brother. And it made her angrier that ever. The young girl had noticed that she had somehow come up to the North Tower. She wondered why her feet had brought her there. Maybe she was seeking comfort and was hoping to see her senpai there? But, her luck was not that great. The young girl approached the wall and landed a hard punch on it, "That felt better," she said softly as she landed another punch before sitting on the floor, watching as students come and go.

Even though the sun was out, a cool breeze was there to accompany it. Benjamin Chase knew nothing of the summer season, except for the fact that it was the hottest and it came after spring and before autumn. He was satisfied that he wore something cool and airy for him to not to sweat as much. His sensitive skin gave him rashes and it would irritate him if he would wear something that was as hot as the sun itself. His clothes were light and they showed off the white skin he had. It was like a lifetime, ever since he surfed in the beach. He missed the ocean and the feeling of it against his skin. The Chase family manor was located there as well, and their eye colour resembled the color of the sea. Despite his efforts to convince his father just to remain at home, he was still sent to Hogwarts to endure the torture. His ego in the school was painfully punched and he avoided huge crowds whilst walking in the hallways. He was thankful that in the past few days, he caused no fights except for that small talk he had with a pureblood Hufflepuff. They were, in such a way similar to one another. It comforted him that there was a person after all who was as pure as him and who acted like a real pureblood. It was just that she was a girl and personally, Benjamin favored boys in his company. Girls were too soft and giggly.

The distance between the north tower and the great hall was huge, but Benjamin stood up and prepared to walk in the noisy halls. Most of the people he saw were older than him, and they ignored him as they walked past by. Benjamin did the same, his hands shoved in the pocket of his shorts. He mind was blank and he did not exactly want to think of the class he had tomorrow. Something like that was not exactly the most interesting topic that Benjamin would like to talk about. Instead, he thought of how hot it was, but thankful of the breeze. He did not feel any sleepiness stirring, but he knew that his energy was increasing rapidly. He did not want to waste it sitting down. And so, the space from the great hall up to the north tower was not as far, which made Benjamin grin a bit. He was finally going to the place that he was really fond of, even though his visitations were reduced through the months of school.

The Slytherin's footsteps were as silent as a grave. He did not want to disrupt the silence that was around him. He wanted to prolong it, if ever possible. The noise of everyone downstairs were irking but he kept his mouth shut. "It isn't everyday that they are like that." Benjamin did not speak any word, fearing that his moment of peace would be interrupted. Before he could reach the final step a sound of flesh hitting a bare wall banged in his ears . It was a girl - a young girl at that - and she was actually punching the slab of rock that made up the north tower. He grimaced as he thought of himself experiencing that kind of pain and never would do that. Was she something stupid? He waited for her to stop and approached her whilst she sat on the floor, a serious expression on his face. "If you continued that, you'd probably end with a bloody fist." He did not dare speak anymore, not caring if ever she would respond or not. He settled near a window and studied her appearance. She was familiar definitely, and he knew that he saw her somewhere. He recalled it easily and with a smirk, he said, "So where's your twin? Or your guardian, whatever you call him. Rumour Has It really captured your story well enough." He said, with a casual tone whilst looking out the window. But in the air, Benjamin knew that he had the usual arrogant tone that he contained. He remained silent until he would hear that reply from the girl.

Ai felt her hand hurting a bit from the two punches she landed on the wall. But compared to another time she punched the walls, it was much better. Last time, her hand bled a lot and it was really difficult to write with them. But, who could blame her if she wanted to punch the walls? She didn't like what was happening and it was all coming back to her. And she didn't like it. She didn't want to remember what had happened, and right now that was exactly what was happening. Her bad memories were coming back to her again and it was making it difficult to think straight.

But, luckily, the young girl was glad that some boy had approached her and said something annoying to her. Her recent thoughts had left her mind for a bit and now were only lingering in parts of her mind. For now, she didn't have to worry much about her memories. "Who cares if I end up with a bloody fist," she said in an annoying tone. It can't be helped, she was annoyed and the boy said something annoying. But, her annoyance turned to anger as soon as the boy mentioned her brother. He was insulting her thanks to the magazine and she didn't like it, especially that he was using her brother to insult her. "Now, look here. My brother is peacefully studying in the library. And, if you believe in Rumor Has It, it would be pretty obvious that you are a complete idiot," she told the boy angrily waiting for how he would react.

<COLOR color="#000"> With the high pitched voice of the girl, Benjamin almost scowled. He did not exactly appreciate those high and annoying tones. Those irritated him and he had a high desire to frown at her and just stalk away. But with his peaceful nerves settling on him, his mind drove away the nasty temper he always had and the boy just sighed mockingly. He did not want a fierce temper showing, especially to younger students. In fact, he wanted to stay away from those first years. Benjamin sat down on the step of the window whilst looking at the outside. The girl, Edogawa was her last name - asked his opinion in a nasty way. Benjamin let it hang in the air for a few seconds, whilst peacefully looking outside. He interlaced his fingers with one another and immediately felt the chilly temperature it contained. He breathed in the air and he sensed the anger that was boiling in her. Inwardly, he smirked but, his outside features kept its blank expression. He didn't really want to show her that he wanted to make fun of it. Perhaps a verbal fight will tell her. "I guess, nobody does. I don't even know you." He said, his tone quiet and reserved. Whatever he was thinking was not really obvious, but Benjamin was ready to defend himself if ever she would kick him because of his small insult. He thought though, that with that personality of hers, she wouldn't exactly care as much. Or would she do the exact opposite of what Benjamin thought it would be?

With what Edogawa replied, Benjamin knew that she was angry with his casual statement. He turned towards her in a menacing way, looking at her with dark green eyes. He studied her, noticing that she was actually Asian but ignored that fact. He had no thing against Asians except for the weather in several countries of that continent. Benjamin bit his tongue in order for him to stop thinking of such nasty thoughts he could reply with. Instead of fighting, he said with a tone of casualness, "I'd rather be an idiot in believing a magazine than being someone who is too close to their sibling. It's like you're more than siblings. Gross." Benjamin uttered with, feigning a look of distaste. He never exactly fancied being with Victoria all the time, who was his youngest sister in the family. She was good company but she was always too curious and she never failed to ask more than ten questions everyday. Meanwhile, Lucas was still a toddler who he didn't exactly get along with. Benjamin did not get baby talk nor did he want to learn. He fancied Vicky more though, for she was fun without her curious nature.

"Nobody cares. You don't know me. But you still dare to tell me that I might even end up with a bloody fist," the young girl muttered. Ai hated being told about possibilities, simply because, she can think for herself. She already has an idea of what might possibly happen. What rewards to obtain, what punishment to get, or what consequences may come. She is already at an age to know about it. But, there are some people that she will allow to tell her about possibilities. And those were, her brother and her senpai. And the boy with Ai in the North Tower, is most definitely neither of them, and it made her very irritated. "What's his problem, anyway?" she unconsciously said with quite a loud voice.

The Hufflepuff was very mad at how the boy acted. He was believing in the magazine, Rumor Has It, and Ai didn't like it. He was believing that Ai and Conan's relationship were more than just siblings. The boy dared to insult their relationship and Ai didn't like it. He was not Ryuuji-niisan that knew what they had been through. He was just some random boy who came in the North Tower. The young girl stood up and met the boy's eyes with a calm look. "A familiar face? Also, in Rumor Has It. I've seen him," the young girl thought as she began to scan her memories, and she found what she had been looking for. The young girl smiled a bit, "Benjamin Chase. I can see now why you believe in the magazine. It's because you and Hariah Meadow really have a relationship. And I bet it's more than friends," she said with quite a grin showing on her face.

Benjamin smirked at what she said, amused to think that she was at least functioning correctly. He was sort of proud with his small comment that seemed to make her sadden a bit. Or did she? Either, he didn't care. Benjamin was up for something good and a little entertainment and the girl was just a little character of his. She had a high temper and Benjamin always came across females who had high tempers. "What's with all these attitude problems?" He thought to himself, snickering inwardly at all the people that he managed to have, for entertainment. Benjamin just shrugged though and successfully hid the giggles he wanted to let out. Was she really that loud? Whatever her thinking was, Benjamin wanted to drive her mad. But, not anything beyond insane. "Maybe your guardian slash twin does. I thought you never separated." He said whilst looking at her in the eye, his green eyes flashing brilliantly. He dared her to speak more of the subject which he wanted to dismiss. He was getting tired of it easily and he just hoped that she would speak of something more entertaining. He looked out of the window once he thought that their eye contact was held long enough. The scenery was peaceful outside with the breeze flowing in the tower. His green eyes narrowed though when he heard the girl speak her thoughts and said in a monotonous voice, "Did you really speak of that, aloud?" He asked disbelievingly.

The mention of Hariah made Benjamin's skin tingle and his spine straightened, with a tensed look on his face. He bit his lip in order not to just yell at her. He didn't like the mention of Hariah Meadow in his face especially by a small first year whom he did not know. His cheeks slowly flooded itself with heat and he almost felt the drop of temperature. Benjamin hated the way she even said it, and without looking, he almost felt her grin being rubbed onto his face. He groaned loudly and looked at her in the eye, disgusted by the small grin she had. "Meadow? Well you see, I'm to young to be involved in what they call love. It's gross. Here, how about use your common sense?" He sneered slightly at her grin, willing to make it go away. He was just thirteen and people actually thought that they had this love hate relationship. Although Benjamin was disturbed by this, he didn't care at what the magazine actually said. In the first few days of the magazine's new edition, he was struck by it. Nowadays, he would just shrug or sneer and walk off. He thought of this conversation as nothing else than the usual. "Focus on your own issues... Which I bet are plenty." He said again in a monotonous tone, his green eyes boring into hers. He gave her an odd expression and turned away, unready for anything that she could comment randomly about his life. He was a pureblood and so he suspected that she would insult his beliefs in supremacy and such.

Ai continued thinking about the frustrations in her Hogwarts life. It was most certainly unpleasant. A lot of fights, being featured in a magazine, losing a game. Now, she knew she was not that lucky in her current school. And now, being added to her problems is the boy with her right now. He was continuing to insult her in a way she didn't like. She can stand being insulted for who she is, she can still handle that, but including her brother, she would not let this issue pass. "Well, sadly the magazine and your assumption is wrong. My brother and I have our own separate lives," she told the boy her calmness not leaving her yet. Ai realized that she had spoken aloud a few minutes ago when the boy had pointed it out. "I don't know. Maybe I didn't say it loud enough for you to hear," she answered.

Ai had instantly noticed the change in Benjamin's expression. He seemed very irritated, and Ai was glad that it was the case. Noticing changes in the boy had amused the young girl, and it was thanks to her skills of being observant. The boy answered her with a sneer which the Hufflepuff didn't even pay attention to. Keeping the grin she had, "Oh, I guess people nowadays are not as old as he looks, cause frankly you seem older than me for six year? Give and take a few months," she said calmly. Seeing the Slytherin gave Ai some entertainment and she hoped this boy would not disappoint her and bore her. "My issues? Sorry to disappoint but I don't have that much to deal with. Maybe you should deal with yours instead, don't you think?" she said as she watched the boy turn away which made her a bit more irritated.

The tone of the girl's voice never left its calmness which irked the Slytherin a lot. It was as if she was testing her with all her might, willing him to give up and cry. He vowed to himself - mentally - that never will he ever back out. She was like Hariah, but not as stubborn as the Gryffindor brunette. She was a warrior type, and Benjamin was up for the challenge. He disliked the way she stood up and thought herself as a highly person, which he thought was a bit over for a first year. He was a second year and he never actually shot back with a hidden maniacal tone behind a sweet voice. Benjamin did not exactly here her first sentence but his ears heard the latter of it. Inside, he felt his temper boiling up rapidly yet he stopped himself from exploding madly. It did not suit his demeanor in front of the girl, plus he wanted to maintain the pureblood supremacist shell he had, which was in reality, something that was important to him. "Thought you were joined hip to hip." Benjamin uttered barely above a whisper. The Slytherin's sea green eyes were somewhat cold onto her and whilst looking at her, he still did not comprehend what eye colour she even had. He didn't think an Asian would have blue eyes, so he immediately left the thought. Benjamin leaned his head on the cold stone wall of the tower, and redirected his vision to the outside. He ignored her reply to his comment and bit his inner lip flesh to keep himself from reacting too harshly.

Stupid grin. It was a matter of reality that hit him. Benjamin hated the shiver that ran down his body, which was about her knowing his article. His green eyes never took itself away from her upward curvy grin, which annoyed him to the end of his toes. Benjamin searched for an answer to reply, without snapping. Instead of giving it to her in a cruel tone, he simply replied, "I had the impression that you and your guardian were... stupid adults? Give and take a few months." He stated with a smirk, because of his last three words that he mimicked from her. "Give and take huh?" His arrogant pureblood side was creeping up, which he tried to keep low. His parents during the holidays gave him a talk about it. His father, as his normal self, explained to him that purebloods were the ones worthy of magic. He did not need to be ashamed of anything. His mother in the meanwhile, disagreed and argued. Both opinions confused the Slytherin, and as a kid, he decided to stay quiet about it unless someone would challenge him to an argument. "I'm dealing with mine, thank you very much. But to point out one of your issues; you think you can simply beat the flesh out of everyone. I heard you fight with everyone you come across with." He said with a raise of his left eyebrow. Benjamin did not lean forward but stayed still, waiting for what excuse she will have to say to cover her actions.

What the boy has uttered under his breath was completely heard by Ai. She was once with an good hearing and even whispers she can hear. And this was one of those cases. "Joined hip to hip? That's the best he can come up with?" the young girl thought chuckling a bit. "Well, I think you can see now that we are not joined hip to hip. Hopefully, you can also see how much of an idiot you are," she told the boy in a rather harsh tone. The young girl kept on wondering why her calmness had not yet disappeared. Well, she thought that Justin was much more than the boy she was with.

Her grin not leaving her face, not even flinching and not feeling insulted by the answer of the boy. It was quite disappointing, she was hoping for a better one but it seemed to be too much to ask. "Maybe you could say that. Who knows, I might have had a lot more experiences than a spoiled boy like you," she said in a calm tone. The girl was quite surprised by what the boy has said and she was most definitely irritated by the rising of Benjamin's eyebrow. "Oh! So I'm quite famous. So what if I think I can beat the flesh out of anyone? That's who I am and I'm not afraid to show it. Unlike some other people who act differently towards others," she said her grin on her face getting bigger and her eyes showing coldness. She was not giving up with this, she was going to show this boy her stubbornness which he was definitely not going to like.

<COLOR color="#000"> Being accompanied by someone who had a high temper displeased him. He knew that he hit a nerve when he actually insulted her in a tone that was soft and a bit teasing. His main purpose was to experience some silence and tranquility which was ruined by the first year. Her life was probably a mess like his, thus, resulting to the cold shoulder she was giving him. Benjamin was not as hard as a rock that had the ability to block insults passively. He was human as well and his conscious and quiet self told him to just act civilly. He definitely did not want to take back what he told her (which was an insult that moved her), but instead he just wanted silence. "That's so harsh for a first year to say. Ouch." Benjamin removed his orbs from hers and just scowled at her deeply, refusing to start an argument; which was quite rare. He knew that she wasn't worthy of his time and her blood was something inferior to his. She wasn't fit to be someone worth talking too, and what more can her blood be? He just hoped she wasn't Mudblood or else he would be in the presence of something dirty. He enjoyed the silence that hung briefly in the air, and feared that it would be cut off again by the person who he was unfortunate to be with which perhaps won't last too long.

The words stung as Benjamin heard it, but he kept his face cool and did not show any sign of a cringe. He did not believe that he was spoiled though his family usually bought their way to reach what they are, currently. It was the almost-infinite galleons that helped them bribe others or to extract information from some people that claim their family to be criminals in the past. Just because of their blood, they were usually accused that they were part of the Death Eaters in which they weren't. The Chases kept a low profile and they hoped to maintain that until the end of their family comes. "Well I hope your parents realize what kind of a person you are. Tut tut." He said in a disappointing tone and kept his arrogance intact. The only thing he wanted last was to experience something foul and the girl in front of him was foul, not to mention her presence irked him. The Slytherin drummed his fingers on the cold stony texture of the window, willing himself to be composed. His green eyes were already looking tired because of all the emotional stress that he encountered in the manor. His father and mother always had arguments on how to run the estate without cutting off some allies and acquaintances. It annoyed him to think that soon, he will be running it with Lucas which will probably be a pain in the *ss. Benjamin slightly sneered at her, and then stood up firmly whilst dusting off the invisible dirt on his shorts. "Well I don't care if you're proud, I don't put up fights with first years like you. I just want some peace and silence." And with that, Benjamin calmly smirked at her and went off to another window, to avoid her sharp words and irking remarks. They weren't something he wanted to hear and her words were unpleasant to his hearing.

He had a feeling that she would call him a coward and grin evilly, but he simply ignored it. It did not help calm his thoughts about the manor; how Victoria would simply talk about things he wasn't interested in and how Lucas would fall whenever he attempted to run on his own. Arthur however, usually included Benjamin in the study just to look and talk about his future. It was a son-father talk, which Benjamin appreciated even behind a cold demeanor. He walked onto another window and it was high enough for his body not to fall. His whole torso could be seen and he sighed in satisfaction when he heard a breeze of wind reach his skin. Benjamin forgot that little prissy girl who even tried to argue with him and he settled himself in his thoughts.

OOCOut of Character:
It's not very good. There are some words that are redundant and my head isn't exactly focused. Sorry!

Ai wasn't particularly enjoying the fight with the boy. In fact, she was getting a bit bored. The boy could hardly put up a good fight with her, in her opinion that is. The young girl noticed that the boy had some similarities with some boy she had a fight with, but then again, the other boy seemed much more fun to fight with. "So what if it was harsh. You'd definitely be more stupid if you got hurt by such remarks," she said in a harsh tone. Not enjoying the fight might be the reason why she has been keeping a calm face all along.

What the boy said had really struck a nerve on Ai's part. A topic that Ai really hated being brought up to a fight was her parents. She didn't want them being included in her fights. No, it was something she hated. "I bet they know exactly how I act," she said as calmly as she possibly could, which was quite hard. "Ooooh. Scary," she told the boy insultingly. The young girl wasn't exactly proud of being able to fight with almost anyone she meets, but who cares. "Says the boy who started using RHI to insult me," she answered back when the boy said that he doesn't pick fight with first years.

Ai watched as the boy left her and transferred to another window. Seeing it as a sign of disrespect and being a coward, Ai felt insulted. She got annoyed and did something completely unexpected. She removed her right shoe and threw it at the direction of Benjamin and aimed it at his head. "You're sooooooo rude!" she shouted at the boy after she threw her shoe. Ai annoyed those who left while fighting. And yes, even if only transferring windows.
