Jeremy was tired of sitting in the Ravenclaw common room, so he took his charms book with him and left. Making his way towards the North Tower, Jeremy pulled out his wand and tried to practice the charm they had been learning in class. He was still forgetting to swish and then flick and instead kept doing the opposite. After a few attempts during which nothing happened, Jeremy put his wand away.
The tower was quiet though from where he was standing, Jeremy could hear the soft hoots of the owls as they moved around in the owlery. He found a window that had enough room for him to squeeze onto the sill and sat down. Opening up his charms textbook, Jeremy began to read. He still had a couple of hours before curfew, so he knew that he probably wouldn't be bothered by any of the prefects or professors, and he wasn't doing anything wrong anyway.
