testing345 was tired. He had just finished with all the formal requirements necessary to attain recognition of his own Scitorari sect by the leaders of each of the others. Names. Powerful things in the magical world and scarcely taken seriously enough. After these many years of working to show the power of a name to his peers, he wondered if he'd lost sight of what mattered? Helping those poor sods with the most ridiculous names. If he just fixed one name... maybe the magic would be a little brighter?

After some inquiries he'd come across the Weeks family. Not an atrocious name in itself, but the family had taken to naming their children after days! Like the Pot family calling their daughter Chamber this seemed cruel beyond measure. He'd contacted Monday - an apt beginning - about paying the administrative fees necessary for him to shed the burden bestowed upon him by his parents. In this case it seemed that neither terror nor forcible marriage would be needed to right a wrong.

"What name did you settle on for yourself?"
He asked after the appropriate pleasantries as they met in the atrium. "Have you given thought to my suggestion of Gregory?"

No one hated his name more than him. Monday swore that his father did it just out of spite or he wanted his children to be bullied beyond reason. And add muggle-born to the mix. He and his sisters basically had a target on their back. Acting on their behalf, he was shedding the names. He had a list of what his sisters' names were going to be in his pocket, and more than enough galleons to help cover them because he felt he was responsible. Besides, he felt that someone with an even worse name was next to him. Almost like MISSINGNO. from Pokemon Red and Blue.

Of course, Monday did not know what sort of methods this person would have taken to changing his name, but who wouldn't agree to it? He was not only a day of the week, but he was the worst day of the week. If he could find his father and bury him alive, he would, but alas, like Waldo, he was gone. He could not count how many times he had made the deadbeat, vanishing joke on his homework when he was at the school. He was shaken from his train of thought when testing345 asked him what name he had chosen in the end. Gregory, not exactly.
"I don't want anything related to the calendar, but thanks for that."

Plus there was a student named Gregory Friend and he didn't want that stigma with him. "I am thinking John is a better name." Monday already decided. After this, he wanted to be a nobody. A John Doe, so to speak. Then, when he would do what he wanted outside of this.

John. Utterly forgettable. John Weeks. Completely muggleish, if you asked testing345. At least it wasn't an embarrassment to Wizard-kind anymore, and to be honest testing345 soon looked forward to forgetting about the entire Weeks family. This would be time and galleons well spent.

"John it is, then." testing345 confirmed, beginning to walk briskly through the bustling crowds of people toward the elevators and soon to the ministry's registration office. Pausing a moment just before the door of the lift, "And the other days, er, your other siblings - you'll help them through this process?" He'd go along with John, but if he had to handhold every Tuesday through Sunday and stomach them choosing to become Jane and Juan and Joan and Johan he was sure he'd rather just place the Taboo on the whole household.

Monday did wonder why this testing345 wanted his name changed so much. He could not imagine why anyone would care about his name, and not worry about their own. He just wanted to do his darker deeds without having such an obvious name. Who else on the planet was named Monday? There were millions of Johns. Probably just one or a few Mondays out there. Monday shoved this thought aside as he walked next to this mysterious person next to him. He stopped walking when testing345 asked about his sisters.

"Yes, because honestly, I don't trust some stranger next to them. I am the oldest brother, and the only brother. Hope you can understand that." Monday was known to be overprotective of his sisters. In his head, it was for a good reason. He hated it when Thursday was on a date with her boy, Vincent. "Let's get this over with." Monday was impatient to shed the name that caused him so much stress.
