Emily Hayes-Magonus yawned as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She had gotten up early because she wanted to make sure that she could make it to the kitchens without running into Nicodemus or Nathaniel. Either both of them had taken to trying to talk to her, or it was a freaky coincidence. Either way she'd had about enough of it. She was back at school now, she didn't want to have to bother with their nonsense. Quickly she pulled her hair up into a ponytail and quietly made her way out of the dorms. She spotted Maya in one of the cushy chairs and smiled at the older student. She rather liked Maya, the older girl had helped her out with some homework in her first year and she had remained grateful. Despite Maya being a muggle born and Emily having been surrounded by magic for most of her life, she was much more comfortable in the muggle world and she had bonded with Maya through that. She considered most of the people in her house to be her friends. She only had to know their name to consider them her friends. It was probably why Ravynn always pretended to be reading whenever Emily walked into the room, but she didn't mind so much, not really. Emily continued on, after a short conversation with Maya, towards the kitchens. She'd made some toffees late last night and she now had to check to see if they had set.

Emily made her way back from the kitchens, the bag of toffees safely in her hand. She walked into the Student Lounge and immediately spotted Isabella Nathaniel. The girl had found her cooking in the kitchens one time and they had gotten along pretty well. Emily had mentioned that she was making toffee's and had naturally offered some to Isabella. Now she was going to make good on her promise. "Isabella! They're ready! Don't they look amazing?!" She called as she plopped them into her friend's lap. Emily made friends really easily, it was keeping them that was the hard part. "I really hope they came out well, I don't want to be feeding you poison!" That would have been absolutely horrifying. Killing her friend with toffees, how would she explain that one to the head mistress? I'm sorry miss, she died from toffee. Yeah, she didn't want to go to Azkaban over a toffee.

Isabella came out of bed easily this morning. She always dreamed in her sleep. Not every time she remembered what the dream was about, but this night she had the most amazing dream. She wanted to share it with someone, but most of the people did not believe in dreams but only facts. When she had her clothes back on she walked to the living part of the dorm. There were a few students already out of bed, so Isabella smiled towards them and said hello.

Isabella was on her way to the student lounge. She wanted to read some books there, she liked the room and mostly it was very cozy with the people there. She found a really nice chair where she could sit and started to read a book about charms. Sometimes Isabella looked at the door and who came in, but there was not anyone with who she liked to talk to, not today. When the door opened another time she saw Emily. She met Emily in the kitchens and they had gotten along pretty well. Isabella saw that she had something in her hands, but she did not saw from so far what it could be. Isabella looked at Emily when she started talking. She put down her book and answered her. '' Hey Emily! Wow yeah they look very tasty.'' Isabella smiled at Emily and saw that what Emily had in her hands were Toffees. '' Did you made this, this morning?'' Isabella smiled at Emily when she said that she did not want to feed poison.'' They sure taste lovely, i believe it.'' Isabella grabbed one toffee and was ready to try it.

Emily smiled at her friend and sat herself comfortably onto the sofa closest to her. Emily liked Isabella. She unfortunately didn't get to see her very often due to their clashing schedules. The girls were in different houses and she was beginning to wonder if she would ever have a friend who was in the same house as her. Ravyn and Maya didn't count, they had more of a mentor/mentee relationship with her. She didn't mind though and she would of course never assume that they weren't her friends, but they weren't her age either. It made things a little difficult. "I hope they taste as good as they look. I don't want to scar you from my cooking!" She told Isabella as she plucked the remaining toffee's in the bag from Isabella's lap and picked one of her own. She grinned at Isabella and took a bite. It was a little tough and very sticky, but that was the whole point of a toffee. You couldn't have a non-sticky toffee, that wouldn't make any sense at all. She smiled in triumph and offered the toffee's to her again. "Oh I'm so glad they are nice, I would've been sad!"

She finally noticed that Isabella had been reading a book and gasped picking it up. "I interrupted your reading again didn't I?" She shook her head and placed the book down again. She wasn't a big reader herself and she couldn't say that she quite got the appeal of doing nothing but reading, but she wouldn't want to interrupt someone else. She was the same way with her cooking, she didn't like being interrupted when she was in the middle of it, but to be honest, if she was only just starting it wasn't too bad and she was usually happy to accept help. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you, but I just had to show you these toffee's and I'm so glad they didn't poison us. Could you imagine the Headmistress' face if I had to tell her you died from toffee's?" She didn't really want to think about it if she was honest. Her mother had been at the wedding. Even the students knew what happened that day and it still haunted Emily. She was pretty sure it was part of the reason that Ciro liked to keep them all in the Raven manor when they weren't at school, or somewhere equally important. He'd practically whisked them halfway round the world.

Sorry this took so long!
