hugo had one rose left. a yellow one for one of the younger ravenclaws. while he didn't know all of the people in his house by name Briony was someone he recognised. not because she was in a lot of clubs or played on the quidditch team. or anything like that. but because there was something about her hat was different. like him she seemed to prefer fantasy world than reality, though unlike him whose fantasy came from books she often seemed like she was living in a daydream.
the day had passed quickly and it was heading quickly towards thegolden hour and he had a thought of where he might find her. glad for the excuse to leave the chaos and noise of the school he headed towards the grounds. even if she wasn't out here he had to admit itwas nice here. he wandered through the gardens before he came to the lake. and was just passing the old willow tree when he spotted her the late afternoon light making her hair look like it was on fire. "Hello Briony. happy valentines day. i have a rose for you" he said smiling.
