The other half

[Alexia Smith]

Alexia walked happily to Brightstone. She was in a particually good mood todya because she was meeting nick. She had missed him greatly when she was at school and was looking forward to seeing him again. She was wearing a black strappy top and some skinny jeans, ( Like in her banner.) She walked over to the bench were they had agreed to meet and waited. She smiled to herself when she remembered that this was wear they met each other as well.

Nick was in a good mood. He hadn't seen Alex in ages. He knew his family would disapprove immediately if they knew she was a Gryffindor so, for now, he was keeping her on the down low. He smiled when he saw her sat on a bench. He walked up behind her and put his arms round her neck. "Hey, beautiful." He laughed then jumped over the back of the bench to sit next to her.

Alexia smiled widely when she saw Nick. " Hey nicky, how are you. Its been so long, i missed you so much." She giggled then hugged him tight and kissed him on the lips. " How is school? Wow we have so much to catch up on its unbelievable. We will be here for days." She laughed happily stroking his cheek with her hand.

 

[Nick Green]

Nick laughed and held Alex close to him. "Slow down. I have all day and it's dedicated to you." He smiled then started answering her questions. "I am fine. I missed you too. School is as boring as ever except for some of the pranks me and Steve have played on some of the other students. How about you??" He grinned and listened for her answers.

 

[Alexia Smith]

Alexia giggled at her rushyness towards Nick. She took at deep breath to calm herself before carrying on talking. " Well im fine. My family is as dis-functional as ever but at least im away from it most of the time. School is boring and i dont have any tricks to speak about so yeah my life is just a boring pit of nothingness." She laughed then flicked her blond curly hair behind her shoulders. " Personally i think that the only good thing in my life is you." She rested her head on his shoulder and sighed

 

[Nick Green]

"You can't say that." Nick grinned. "You're a good thing in your life. Personally, I think you're the best thing in my life so you have to be the best thing in your life too." Nick knew he probably sounded like he was talking complete nonsense but he didn't care when he was around Alex. He just wanted to be himself and for her to love him for it. After all, that's how he felt about her.

 

[Alexia Smith]

Alexia was puzzled by what he said. It didnt really make sense to her. How could she be the best thing in her own life, she had grown up with herself so didnt really think about it. " Well if that was true then you have to be the best thing in your own life. I dont think that makes too much sense to be honest i mean i dont sit down after a long day and think wow im so amazing im the highlight of my own life." She giggled slightly at her comment feeling slightly embarrassed by it

 

[Nick Green]

"You should do." Nick shrugged. "What else are you going to say is the highlight of your life. I mean, you don't want to turn self centred or anything but I don't see what there isn't to love." He grinned at her as he looked into her deep, dark eyes. He pushed some of her blonde hair out of her face and ran his hand back so his fingers went through her hair.

Alex giggled and shook her head. " You havnt known me my whole life and you dont no my family. I think that you are the highlight of my own life not my self. Thats just very self centred to say that everything in my life is rubbish except for me. I dont think of myself like that, its just not me." She sighed and rested her head on his shoulder and held him close. She didnt want to ruin his day with her rubbish life. " So have you heard that my brother was caught out in the act by Ana?" She assumed he had been told being her family and all. Riley had just really told her in brief over a short letter that probably took him 5 minuets to write. She was starting to hate him now, he had changed so much and it was like he never had time for her any more.

 

[Nick Green]

"Yup." Nick grinned and wrapped his arm around her when she put her head on his shoulder. "Ana told Odie, Odie told Stacy, Stacy told Junior, Junior told Paul, Paul told Jasper, Jasper told Steve and Steve told me." Nick laughed slightly when he remembered the order that his family was told about what happened. Everything seemed to spread round the family like a desease. It was impossible to keep a secret. Especially when you were someone like Jasper and you found it impossible to hide your emotions.

 

[Alexia Smith]

Alexia laughed as she listened to him. She looked at him and gave him a little nudge. " Wow thats amazing how you remembered that. I would have forgotten after Ana told Odie." She giggled. Alex never really had secrets, she always told them usually to Riley but not any ore so she guessed it would be Nick that she told now. " Yeah well Riley is changed now. He wouldnt used to do that. Oh well who is she with now? Or is she not with anyone?"

 

[Nick Green]

Nick shrugged. "She's with some guy called Theo. I haven't met him properly. He came to our house the other week because he was there with Ana but I didn't actually talk to him. He was talking with Eddie and Kevin." Nick didn't know Eddie or Kevin well either but he liked them. They were both very kind and Nick felt like Stacy and Odie had picked the right guys.

 

[Alexia Smith]

Alex smiled to herself. It couldnt have been her Theo so she didnt mind. " Thats quite funny. I have a brother called Theo but i dont think he is here anyway. He moved out when he was 15. I havnt seen him since." She sighed. Her family seemed very dis functional and everything would always go wrong. nce one thing was sorted something else would take its place3

 

[Nick Green]

Nick thought about it for a second. Theo did look a bit like Riley now that he thought about it. "Dunno. What does your brother look like??" He was curious now and curious Nick asked questions no matter what. It was just the way he was. It had gotten him in trouble a few times but he didn't care. When he wanted information he would get it.

 

[Alexia Smith]

Alexia shrugged. " Nick the last i saw him he was 15 that was 6 years ago. I was 8. I carnt remember what he looked like. He probably looks like Riley i dont know. He could walk past me right now and i wouldnt recognize him." She couldnt remember much of him being so young at the time he left other memory's had taken there places

Nick laughed. "You could have a good memory." He shrugged. "You have good everything else anyway." He grinned cheekily at her and kissed her forehead. He could smell her shampoo as his face got closer to her hair.

Alex giggled a little when he complimented her. She liked how Nick made her feel special and like she actually meant something. Her family made her feel the exact opposite to this, they were always putting her down and she used to think that she wouldnt be very good at anything. That was until she had met Nick. She snuggled up to him and sighed. " I love you." This was all that she could think to say to him at the moment
