Juniper didn't really like the dungeons, they felt too dark and cold. Impersonal. So it sort of sucked that one of her favourite lessons took place there. Potions was nice, especially given they were going to start properly brewing this year. It wasn't just the brewing she was looking forward to though, Juniper loved Herbology and the knowledge that the plants they grew there could be used to heal people through potions was one that she liked and the main reason the two classes were her favourite.

Their first lesson of the year for Potions had just finished with the new Professor and she had the rest of the day off. Professor Finch had seemed nice enough, but even then the entire time Juniper had been all too eager to leave the classroom and get back up above ground. An involuntary shiver ran through the second year's body as she walked along the walls, staying as close to them as she could as if to prevent herself from getting lost.

Aiya wasn't enjoying the first week back at school, but only because nothing interesting had happened yet. She had just finished her potions class and was disappointed that they weren't brewing anything yet. Last year had been so boring, and she really hoped this year wouldn't follow suit. As she made her way down the corridor, she noticed a Hufflepuff from her class that was walking very weirdly close to the walls. Why were Hufflepuffs always so weird? Her cousin Dominic was okay and she often wondered if he really belonged there amongst them. A little frustrated, Aiya approached her. "What are you doing?" Aiya asked the girl, quite abruptly. "Why are you walking so close to the wall? Are you up to something?" Aiya was certain that she probably wasn't, but she just really needed some answers.

Juniper nearly jumped out of her skin when someone spoke to her. She had to suppress a yelp as she turned to face the girl with wide eyes. She knew her from classes and when the girl spoke Juniper just blinked a few times, still getting over the fright. "Uh- I no?" She stammered out, glancing at the wall. "I just um, the dungeons creep me out and the solid wall feels safer..." She explained, it felt safer to walk along the solid stone walls than just in the middle of the corridor. There she could accidentally bump into others or Merlin knew what. "I'm sorry, I'm not in your way am I?" Juni apologized quickly.

Aiya raised her eyebrows as the girl went on to say that the dungeons creep her out. "Well that's a little bit silly." she said matter-of-factly, not understanding at all where she was coming from. "Did you know that us Slytherins sleep in the dungeons? If it was so creepy then how could we be allowed to sleep down here?" Unless of course, she thought Slytherins were creepy, then that would be discriminating. As the girl asked if she was in Aiya's way, she laughed. "How could you be in my way? You're against the wall... I can't walk between walls or anything. Normal people actually walk in the middle of the corridor."

Juniper frowned softly as the girl said it was a little bit silly. "It is?" She didn't want to be silly, far less seen as silly. Then she explained the Slytherins sleeping there and Juni realized the girl was one too because they'd just shared a class. "Oh no I didn't mean it in like, no no I just think..." She lost her train of thought trying to put it into words. How'd she explain that it just made her feel queasy being down there. "It's just darker and I don't know scarier." She tried so hard to explain it in a way that it made sense. "Right yeah, um sorry?" The Hufflepuff decided to apologise when nothing else seemed like a working answer to her statement. Juniper pushed off the wall trying to be less not-normal.
