There was a reason for being in the Harbor but what that was Sapphire was not totally sure. She had asked Mother if she could come here because she said she had wanted to see Jade but she wasn't entirely sure that she could see her sister by cercumstance. She hadn't gotten a letter saying that she was on a Brightstone weekend or something of the sort but still she had wanted to come. Maybe she the real reason she had wanted to come to the Harbor was because she wanted to see where she was going to shop when the time came.

Sapphire looked in the window of a shop at her face. She sometimes needed a reminder of what she looked liked or of the fact that she could in fact refelct something on a shiny sirface. Sometimes she was so ingnored at home compared to Ruby that she forgot that she exsisted at all. Then again it was better that way. She could still hear her younger sister by cercomstance screaming riddles from her room. Phobos was being posetively grosom as of late.

Sapphire was looking forward to Hogwarts herself. Jade and Jasper had both sent in angry letters to Dympna saying how disapointed they where that they where in Hufflepuff. Sapphire could not understand what was so bad about the house. That didn't mean that she was willing to go there. No Sapphire wanted to ware blue for seven years. She wanted to be a Ravenclaw. From the windown she was looking in she could see that her marking was starting to show so she fixed the ribbon on her neck so it was compleatly hidden again.

It was then that she noticed something intresting on the other side of the window. If she had stayed watching the refection she would have seen that someone else was looking at the window too.

Oscar hated the Saturday dance class. It always made him want to vomit. A good 4 hours of intense dance where he was pushed and shunned. Oscar knew he was bad at dancing, but this didn't bother him all that much. He wad just annoyed that he had to be in the class with others, who quite clearly hated him. It wasn't a fun lesson, but oscar was looking forward to leaving. He had big plans for that afternoon, he was run put and cycle to Brightstone, his favourite place. He loved it. The fact that Lily didn't like it shocked Oscar slightly. He ran out the class, after quickly putting on his joggies and White lose fitting t-shirt. Stuffing his ballet shoes into his bag and cycling off. Completely not bothering about lunch. He often did this. It was a family trait. Not many in his family, or many at school ate much.

The cycle to Brightstone took longer than he'd expected or wanted to. It was a long ride. And since he wa tired and a little hungry he was a lot slower than he wanted, it would be a long ride back to his dorm, he knew that. But he was thankful, that he was in brightstone. He loved that place. He really thought it the most amazing place on the face on his world. It was a place where he didn't have to dance or put up with crap from others. He was alone. Oscar walked through the streets, peering into shop windows while pushing his bike along side him. He stopped at one window. The clothes store, he could see the different uniforms within. He didn't know which house he wanted to be a part of. He didn't care too much. Whichever he was, he was going to live it. He noticed a girl with a ribbon around her neck. He gave a small smile to her. He wasn't big on conversation, but if he was honest this girl didn't look like she was either. However he was going to try.

"Brilliant isn't it?" Oscar said looking from thebuniform to the girl. "I'm Lucas. You?" Oscar said, feeling a little bad for lying to the girl. But he had to trust her before doing anything else. He gave a small smile.

Sapphire looked back, her deep blue eyes a bit clouded with worry but the person she saw was not Zeal or Phobos but some compleatly new. Lucas she heared him say he was called. Sapphire smiled back softly then whiped her hand on the skirt of her black frilly dress before she started signing. "My name is Sapphire" she said with her hands. Sapphire had lost her voice about a year ago for reasons she would never tell anyone. It was not entierly certen that she could tell anyone if she wanted to.

She noticed a bicycle beside the boy and looked at it longinly. I wish I knew how to ride. she thought and somehow translated that through her eyes if anyone cared to look that deeply at her. Sapphire very much doubted that there was someone out there that would do so but she did it anyway. She wondered if he knew sign language as well because things would prove rather difficult if he couldn't.

Then again Sapphire always found away to comunicate without words. She looked back at window and pointed at the emblem for Hogwarts. "Are you going?" She seemed to be asking. Her curled pigtails bounced a bit because she had to stand on tiptoe to make sure she was pointing at the crest and not anything else. Sapphire wasn't very tall at all.

Oscar watched the girl. She was quiet, he couldn't help but wonder why. He knew that he probably wouldn't ever know. He was quite silent but he would never tell anyone why. And he generally found it hard to trust so whatever the girls reasons were Oscar wasn't going to question them. He watched as she signed to him he was sure was a name. Oscar had to admit that he didn't really understand what she was saying. He remembered there had once been a deaf dancer at the school, she had been very good but the lessons had been hard for her, but Oscar had enjoyed watching the helper sign what she was meant to do. In one of the dances, people were jewels, which was a strange thing for people to dance, but useful now as he recongised the word Sapphire. Her name was surely that. He smiled at her, and noticed that during his thinking she was staring at the bike longingly.

"It's nice to meet you Sapphire." Oscar said. "You want a go?" he added pushing the bike slightly towards her. He watched as silently she motioned towards the hogwats crest. He nodded earnestly. He smiled and pointed to the Gryffindor uniform to show which house he wanted to be in. Then pointed to her, and waited for her reply.

Sapphier noticed that it took Lucas a bit to realize what she was saying and she sighed. It would take a bit to get him up to speed with all her signs but she would help him a long. She would maybe if the time was right let him hear her voice if they ever got that close. Did she have a voice anymore really? When was the last time she had spoken out loud. Ruby could tell what she was saying so could Jade and Jasper while Mother knew Occumancy and could always tell her what she was thinking.

Sapphire realized that the people that she was normally around had gotten used to her not speaking doubted that they even remembered what she sounded like. Sapphire herself wasn't entierly sure that the sound of her voice in her head was really her own. He got not only what she was saying but what she had meant by looking at the bike. She signed "I don't know how to ride." as the bike was presented to her.

She saw the crest that Lucas was pointing at. So he wanted to be a Gryffendor. He seemed brave enough to be just that. She wondered if either one of them would get what they wanted. Sapphire pointed at the blue uniform for Ravenclaw then smiled. Sapphire put her hand on the handalbars of the bike and looked back at the red uniform then the blue. There had to be a cross over between the two somewhere. Maybe she could ride she just didn't know it yet. She looked at Lucas as if to ask if it was really alright.

Oscar realised as the girl sighed that she didn't know how to ride a bike. Something which seemed so simple to Osxar would be complicated to another person. He looked at the window, he could see that she wanted to be a Ravenclaw. If she wanted to be a ravenclaw then she would very easily be able to pick up riding a bike. It was as easy as counting to three which Oscar was sure this girl would be able to do. He firstly walked and showed the girl how to get on the bike. Knowing that after this it would be prett easy.

"Just get onto the bike sit on the seat. And put you feet on the pedals. I'm holding on to the back and I'll lightly push you along so you get the feel of it." Oscar said with a smile. "If you want to stop either put your feet on the ground or ring the bell"

[Sorry about the lameness]

[It's ok]

Sapphire looked down at the ground from the top of the bike. It seemed like a long way down. Should she have not started with training wheels? Should she not have a helment and padding on her wrists and knees? There where so many reasons going through Sapphire's mind why she shouldn't do this that she had half a mind swing her leg back over the seat and give Lucas back his bike before it got damaged. Then she scolded herself for being such a ninny. She lived with a child named after fear itself for crying out loud.

Phobos was far more terrafying then falling on the ground from riding a bike. He was far more horrable than a lot of things that Sapphire could think of. Sapphire looked Lucas and nodded. "Thank you for teaching me." She signed then leaned forward as if ready to go. It was a sign to Lucas so he wouldn't be surpised when she started to move her legs. She had watched him on the bike and was pretty certen that this was how it was done. Sapphire started pettling though the bike was slightly too big for her.

Sapphire knew that the bike was one step closer to a broom which she was looking forward to learning how to fly. Mother had always said that a witch that didn't know how to fly was not a witch at all but she had been to afraid to get on a broom. Not with Phobos watching from behind innocent eyes. Sapphire wouldn't even touch her beloved flute when she knew that he was in earshot. Then again there where presios few times when he wasn't listening.

Oscar held on to the bike as Sapphire got on. He liked the silence. He knew that silence was the the true test of friendship, so really all this would test, if they really would be friends. He was beginning to feel really bad for having lied about his name. He wanted to be honest with this girl. She seemed to be nice and friendly. And despite her lack of voice, she, to Oscar showed confidence. He made sure that she was on properly, before reaching forward and taking a small hold of the edge of the handle and a hold of the back of the seat. He made sure he had a good grip, before seeing if she was ready, as she leaned forward, Oscar took that as a yes. Slowly he began to push forward.

"Make sure you keep a hold. We don't you falling. But If you do, I got you" Oscar said getting ever so slightly quicker. "Also, Sapphire, I wanted to Apologize, my name isn't Lucas, it's Oscar. I can't trust people, so I tell them a fake name. Please, don't hate me." Oscar said, holding on to the bike, tight while still pushing it, so if the girl did start freaking out, he'd have a firm grip on his back.

"Sorry" Oscar said quietly. Hoping she wasn't going to do anything that would mean he wouldn't lose a friend.

Sapphire liked the fact that Lucas was there to hold her. She could never really remember being held by anyone. She had sometimes reached out to Ruby when she was in her worse states but other than that there was no affection in the Bella-Donna household exsept for the twisted attention that thier adoptive mother showed them. Sapphire moved forward with her hands tight on the handal bars when she heard him speack again. His name was not Lucas like she had been lead to believe but Oscar. For some reason Sapphire thought the name suited him better.

She was going to put her foot on the ground to tell him to stop so she could tell him that she didn't hate him when a sharp pain came to her neck. Sapphire's right hand snapped to where the pain had started while bowing her head. That made the bike wobble and start to make her fall. I could never hate you Oscar not when I have something I've hidden from you. She thought but could not voice it. She hadn't found her voice around Oscar yet.

Oscar was a little worried as a different silenc took over the two. Of course the girl hadn't said anything but this silence seemed even greater he really did hop e that she didn't hate him. He wished he could take his lie back but that justwasn't about to happen. It wouldn't. He couldn't hardly go back in time to change it, he also felt that the girl was probably hiding something as well, so hazel eyed boy decided he'd just wait. See if she did. She seemed to want to put her feet down, so he slowly the bike. He was a little taken aback, when she suddenly reached up to her neck as if it was hurting her. He took a small second to take this in before realising the bike was wobbling. He put the arm that was holding the back of the bike around Sapphire's waist and in one swift motion lifted her off the bike, just as it fell to the ground. Just placing her down in front of the now fallen bike.

Oscar was strong even for 10. He was maybe not at a good dancer but he was a sporty person and when it came to it as a dancer he was useful for lifting the girls up in the big scenes. It was as the teachers said 'if only he could dance'. Oscar looked at the girl, and figured, that whatever her bow on her neck was hiding was this girls secret. From that he could tell that if she could talk she'd most likely forgiven him, or so he hoped. He looked at the girl and smiled, a small smile.

"I told you, I got you." Oscar said. "Nod if you're okay, nod twice if something wrong."

Sapphire nodded once. She was fine or at least she would be fine until she got home. She shivered to think what Dympna could be calling her for. Maybe Zeal needed a playmate. Again she shivered but this time not only in her mind. It was only then that she realized what it looked like to be in the arms of a boy. She got up quickly with a huge blush on her cheeks and signed "I have to go home." then started down the path back to the muggle world that would lead her to the forest.

It occurred to her that she had not thanked Oscar properly for teaching her how to ride. Sapphire turned gave Oscar a hug. "Thank you for being a friend to me." She said in a whisper that barely contained what her voice sounded like. Her deep blue eyes where sparkling somewhat as took a self inking quill out of the waist band of her dress then took Oscar's hand. She let him with a note one his hand See you Sunday if you are here.
