Simon had decided today that instead of studying inside, at the library in the same spot he always did with Charlotte that he wanted to study outside. This meant quite a lot, even if it was the beginning of term and he didn't have anything to do but prep work. Simon had gathered up all the possible books he would maybe need, had packed a very filled lunch and snack pile and taken a picnic blanket that he'd borrowed from Noemie. Since of course she had something like that. All in all, it was to ensure he wouldn't have to leave for any reason in the midst of his studying. He could enjoy the weather and it wouldn't distract from his work in the slightest. He'd passed one of Charlotte's minion's on his way to the outside, and told her to tell Charlotte where he was. Not that she needed to know where he was studying, but in case she had wanted to study with him or expected him to turn up. He just thought it best to tell her, or well, get one of her minions to tell him from him. Then he didn't even need to take time out of his walk down.

Eventually he got to the lake front and set himself up. Placing down the blanket and putting his books on it before sitting down. He took out his shoes and socks and placed them beside him on the grass. The part veela squinted up at the sun before pulling forward one of his books and getting started. he didn't remember much from the French summer's. it had been so long since he'd been there, he was more accustomed to the ones here. It wasn't too hot, just warm enough that he could enjoy it. That he didn't feel like he'd burn or that it was too bright to see his books. It was perfectly fine. It was a wonderful day and all the more reason to be outside rather than in. The one difficulty was that it was a little noisier outside than in the library but so long as not too many people got close it would be fine. If Charlotte did join him then they'd just be studying, the fierce competition usually all the motivation he needed to do well. He hadn't done as well as her in the first semester and this semester he was determined to.
