Alexis' mood was altered so completely by being back with Izaak, having the ability to be in his arms any time they pleased was one she would cherish forever. The Gryffindor had realized in the past month that she needed him like she needed air, more than she needed air. Life just wasn't the same and didn't have as much worth when he wasn't with her and now she just had to make sure Bella stayed alive and well because there was no way their friendship was ending now, there was no way the strong blonde girl was going to die because some pig headed man named Leighton didn't believe in her.

However, Alexis couldn't bring herself to focus on the negative today. She had spent all night in her lover's arms and they were back together. She knew that there would be some work along the way but she was so optimistic that she thought it would be a walk in the park, much like the one she was having at the moment.

As she walked in a slow and steady pace a few children ran, giggling past her, evidently playing tag as a girl yelled 'You're it!' whilst touching a young boy. Once more the group passed her, some squealing with delight as they ran from the child. Alexis manouvered herself, so she wouldn't be ran into by any children and as she did so one of her socks slid down the heal of her white, canvas converse.

Alexis thought about continuing on but as the shoe dug into her feet she winced and carefully made her way over to a bench. She untied the laces of her shoes and pulled up the sock, wishing she had opted for a pair whose elastic was not worn from use. Retying her shoes, Alexis' hazel eyes that were predominantly a forest green at the moment, looked up into the sun, causing her to squint and then after a few seconds look back ahead of her. She blinked a few times, then a few more as she swore she saw the face of somebody she knew but once she was certain this little someone was there she beamed at them, waiting for them to make their way over to her.

lame and sorry for the minor godmod.

Leah Finch had fretted and fretted over the whereabouts of her younger brother the night before. She had tried calling him over and over again but she had only ever been answered with his voicemail. Usually she would not have been so worried but seeing the state Izaak had gotten to after all that had distanced himself and Alexis, and after finding out about Bella in her coma, there was no trusting what he would do anymore. That was a point well proven already by the incident that had occurred between him and the Veela. But eventually Izaak had returned around midday today with a smile so large on his face that Leah had come to one conclusion and one conclusion only- that he and Alexis had gotten back together.

The information she had tried to pry from him had been held teasingly within those oh-so playful azure eyes of his but he had kept his lips zipped tightly shut. There was only one question he had answered and that was Alexis’ whereabouts. Frustrated, amused and curious all in one, Leah had decided on yet another trip to New Zealand for her and Jay this afternoon and had taken him straight to Brightstone for some time in the park. And now as she stood, smiling and watching her son play, she wondered if Alexis was still around somewhere.

Her azure blue eyes flickered down the length of the street, venturing further into the cheerful village and posing the possibility in her mind that Alexis could very well be down there somewhere. Flicking her gaze back to the space where Jay had been playing, Leah realised that he was gone. Her heart began to thud wildly inside of her, her stomach lurched unpleasantly and suddenly she felt clammy and nervous. There was many places a five year old could go in a short amount of time, but the fear of losing her child struck Leah as blind to that fact.

But Jay was entirely fine and in better company than Leah probably would have expected. He had seen Alexis smiling at him from a bench a little way along the grass and his wide blue eyes had instantly lit up, his limbs had immediately began to streak along the distance that spaced them. "’Lexis!" He exclaimed with unadulterated joy and clambered excitedly into the seat beside her. His voice then took a feigned strictness, an antic that he had clearly gotten from both Izaak and Leah. "Where have you been?"

By now a wave of relief had soaked over Leah as she realised that her son had raced away only because he had seen Alexis. "Jay! You know not to run away, you almost gave me a heart attack!" She scolded lightly as she approached the pair but knowing that Jay would only return her with an apology, she took a seat on the other side of Alexis and wrapped the younger girl up in a tight and near suffocating hug. It had been so long since she had seen her friend. "And you! I’ve missed you so much back home!" Leah continued playfully with her rant as she let Alexis free from her embrace and looked across at her, her brilliant blue eyes swirling brightly with glee. "So what happened?" The doe-eyed woman’s voice was cheekily sly, wanting to know exactly what had gone down between Alexis and her brother and if she’d possibly be home for Christmas.

At the excitement of Izaak's nephew to see her, Alexis grinned and as he sat beside her and scolded her she laughed quietly. He was really Leah's son and she ruffled his blond locks as she said with an amused grin at the five year old's behaviour, "I've been at school Jay." She knew that he wouldn't be satisfied by this answer, purely because he grew up with Izaak and Leah. As she looked down at the adorable child she wondered where Leah was, she couldn't have been far behind and opened her mouth to question the boy when she heard the brunette's scolding voice.

Alexis immediately embraced Leah, she had missed the girl more then she had actually thought she had and she returned the hug with just as much force as it was given to her. When she was scolded she smirked but spoke an apology much like Jay's and as she was asked what happened, she rolled her hazel eyes at Leah. She picked up Jay and popped him onto her lap but still paid her attention to Leah as she answered, "We bumped into each other at the Hog's Head." She frowned momentarily as she felt a craving for drink once more but it was short lived.

"We fought a little, mainly because I was yelling him about - " Alexis stopped short, realizing she was about to call Isabella a sl*t infront of the young boy. She inhaled and exhaled shakily, it was still a touchy thought for her, then said, "Isabella." She looked down at Jay and said playfully to him, "Did you know that Uncle Izaak is a dumby sometimes." She smiled and hugged the boy she thought of as her own brother just like Leah was her sister, then let him go, setting her attention to Leah once more.

"But we're back together now. You have no idea how much I missed Izaak," she said knowing that although Leah could guess how much they missed each other she didn't and wouldn't be able to fully grasp it.
