Sitting on a bench outside of Honeydukes, Alana unceremoniously dumped the bag full of treats onto her lap. The stress of everything and the timing of this weekend had made this trip necessary. Really, it was the only reason she'd taken advantage of the freedom to leave the castle. Most of the time, she stayed in, enjoying that the grounds were more quiet. Today, she needed sugar and lots of it.

Ripping open a chocolate frog, Alana had the chocolate in her mouth before it even attempted to hop. With a sigh of content, Alana took a glance at the card. Gellert Coote. Now, there was a silly name.

With his brothers' birthday coming up, the brightstone weekend could not have come at a better time, he had been looking for unique little gifts to give them both, fantasy things for Ares and things about bugs for Xavier, but for both sugar was a pretty solid plan. He ended up taking far too long picking out sweets in the shop, the ravenclaw captain couldn't help but feel bad for the shop assistant who had helped him as he'd been fairly fussy about what he wanted, but his brothers were turning thirteen so that was an important time and he wanted to find the perfect things. Eventually though the sixth year was done and headed out the store, adjusting his blonde fringe as he stepped out to the autumn day, it was then that his eyes caught the sight of the slytherin keeper, Alana who sat alone eating things clearly purchased from honey dukes, "Get a decent card?" the prefect said smiling in usual friendly manner as he walked forward deciding there was no harm in speaking to the girl.

Hope you don't mind me joining! ^_^

Her mouth was too full to answer, so she simply shrugged her shoulders before holding out the card to her patrol partner, Isaiah. When she finally could, Alana greeted her friend with a smile, licking her lips to make sure she didn't have any chocolate on them. "The back says he was like a Minister of Magic or something." Alana reached for another chocolate frog, not quite ready to give up when she'd only just begun to feed her craving for sugar. Ripping this one open, she took her time with it and actually looked at the card before taking a normal-sized bite of the chocolate. "Newt Scamander" she sighed, "I've already got about ten of these. Want it? Taking another bite of chocolate, Alana continued. "What are you up to today?"

Isaiah smiled at what it was, he didn't know many of the old minister of magic's by name, the longer ago it was the less familiar he was with them, but he took the card from Alana reading who it was and looking at the picture, just shrugging slightly, since he didn't know who this person was, but since Isaiah was done looking he held the card back out to Alana. The second card he smiled at, "I don't have it yet, I'll happily take it," Isaiah didn't, or hadn't really ever collected chocolate frog cards, he didn't buy them often enough to have built a collection. The ravenclaw captain was more than happy to take the card from her, "It's my brothers' birthday soon, I've been getting some presents for them," he motioned with the bags he was carrying to show that he had indeed got them presents, "What about you, just needing the sugar rush?" Isaiah smirked at her lightly as he spoke, "Or just avoiding studying?" remembering that she being the year below him would likely be studying for the upcoming OWLs.

Alana considered the question for a short moment before replying with a grin on her face. “Yes” she stated easily, answering both questions simultaneously. The teenager looked to her friend and the bag in his hand. She didn’t share a close relationship with her older brother, but she always found it nice to see siblings that did have a good relationship with each other. “That's sweet. I’m sure they’re going to like their presents” she added, recognizing the bag as she had a similar one at her side. Who didn’t like candy? “Do you have any OWL advice? Want to take my exams for me?” the Slytherin asked, not really expecting an affirmative reply to her last question.

Isaiah grinned easily at it, and looking down at the bags, "I'm just glad for once since they both are hufflepuff I won't need to clean up as they both reach a sugar high together," he joked with her, "Let the hufflepuffs deal with it," Isaiah knew his brothers pretty well and he was more than sure that they'd probably eat the candy first and probably too late at night, which would be havoc for the rest of their house, but as a ravenclaw he didn't or wouldn't have to deal with it. OWLs were definitely something he would like to repeat but he laughed lightly at her statement, "If you'd be willing do my sixth year exams then we have a deal," Isaiah responded, "As for advice, be sure you don't start writing about charms in transfiguration," the teen was sure that this wasn't all that helpful advice but his own OWLs had been a blur of late nights and early mornings, intermixed with quidditch. The sheer feeling of relief when it was all over was the most magical feeling to him, almost worth all the work it took to do them, something he knew he'd have to repeat at NEWT level, "You'll do fine and if not, least you're a fair keeper,"

Alana laughed heartily. She was well on her own way to one. It wouldn't quite meet the rush she'd felt at taking the Felix Felicis potion, but even a fraction of that would be enough. Listening to his advice, Alana rolled her eyes at her friend. If that wasn't the most obvious of things to say, she didn't know what was. It made her laugh though, and for that she was happy. She hadn't laughed nearly enough this year. With OWLs and then Avie, it hadn't been a great year. At his last words, Alana's jaw dropped. "Isaiah!" she exclaimed, a laugh on her lips. Moving to bag the rest of her candy for later, the smile remained on the Slytherin's face though it wasn't quite as real. "Do you want to play professionally?" she asked the teen. She was good, but Isaiah was great.

Isaiah found himself smiling at her laughter, given how this year had been for everyone, a little laughter could hurt no one and he was always happy to make people laugh. The boy smiled at her grinning easily, and he shook his head, "God no," he told her, he had always thought he might play professionally, after all he didn't think he was that bad at the sport. However he knew it was dangerous and he had a feeling his closest friend might have a problem with him continuing professionally considering how often he got injured at this level, "Considering how much of a magnet I seem to be bludgers at school level, I can only imagine that getting worse out of school," Isaiah joked easily, if it was his only option he wouldn't say no, but the ravenclaw would rather not. The ravenclaw met her gaze, "I guess the bludgers being attracted to me is just the price of being Hogwart's best player," he boasted to her, not really meaning it but finding himself smiling and laughing a little about it regardless. While the game between ravenclaw and slytherin had been rather brutal, he help no ill feelings about it, to him it was just quidditch and that was what he signed up for.

Alana giggled at his immediate response. As he explained why, she figured he was probably right. Isaiah did seem to be a magnet for bludgers and that probably wouldn't serve him well as a professional, especially since the Beaters would also be professional. She nodded her head. "You're probably right" she said until she heard his next words and rolled her eyes. "I'm glad you think so. I'd put my money on Esme or Lucien being the best. Then, maaaaaybe you" she stated, a grin on her face as she teased him.
