Rosalind knew that it wasn't their OWL year yet, but she'd gotten some pretty average grades last year and she was a little bit ashamed. Not overly so - Rosalind knew her dad didn't care too much about grades. As long as she was learning and doing her best, that's what counted. The thing was, Rosalind wasn't really doing her best. She was doing slightly less than that. With that in mind, she'd invited her dorm mate Lorelai to a fun study session in the library (the 'fun' part was Rosalind trying to put a spin on basically sitting down and doing the work). She had her history of magic textbook open, reading it idly. "Remind me why I took history of magic again," Rosalind said with a sigh. "Or why I took any subject at all except herbology." Even her herbology grades weren't the highest they could be.
