Chloe was happy to be back at Hogwarts. Her break had been a little weird, having spent some time with her father, but before that, she had been in Singapore, and the move back and forth could be a little bit much at times. She wasn’t staying with her father when she was in New Zealand, obviously, because he had missed an entire eleven years of her life, so it would be beyond weird to be under the same roof when they still didn’t know each other very well. She was sometimes frustrated that her and Chad didn’t know each other much better than when he first found out about her, considering that was three years ago, but at least he wasn’t refusing to get to know her or anything. They shared their love for Quidditch so there was that, if nothing else. She didn’t really look like him, she had her mom’s genes over her biological dad’s, so it was probably a surprise to anyone that found out that Chad Aria, the professional Quidditch player, had a daughter. A daughter he hadn’t known about for years. The Ravenclaw tied her letter to a barn owl, and fed it, telling it to deliver the letter to her mother in Singapore. School hadn’t started yet but she knew very well that her mother needed to be reassured that Chloe had arrived to Hogwarts safe and sound.

Usually Tres would have written to Momma to let her know that she and Uno had gotten to school safely, and as per tradition, the fourth year was stood in the Owlery with a letter in hand, ready to give it to one of the school owls. Of course she'd never hear back from Momma, she never actually responded nor wrote back, but Tres had always believed she'd just been too busy looking after Dos and Tres. Today though, something felt a little different, and Tres II found that she didn't really want to tell Momma about her and her older sister. Maybe she would worry, but Tres II had done so much worrying of her own over the summer that it didn't really feel right that she always bend to what her Momma wanted. In a moment of madness, Tres scrunched up the envelope in her fist, before throwing the ball straight out a window, watching it fall briefly through the air. Why should she tell Momma how they were doing? She never seemed to care about them. Before Tres could let herself feel guilty, she turned on her heel and headed quickly out the way she'd come, not realising that another student was on her way up.

Chloe was considering writing another letter, although she was struggling whether she should or not write her dad one, it was probably going to be a bit odd, so she decided not to send him one. Not yet at least. Maybe, she could send it in a couple of weeks’ time. The now fourth year looked up, startled, when she saw a piece of paper flying out some window, and when a student walked out of the owlery she glanced up at the girl, instantly recognising Tres. She must have been frustrated about something. She didn’t think she wanted to know what happened in there or what was going through the other girl’s head. The Ravenclaw placed a small smile on her face. "Oh, hi," she greeted. They hadn’t gotten along very well during the duelling tournament last year but Chloe was more than ready to move past that.
