<SIZE size="50">Elijah Tine was a boy of many things. He was a boy of many talents. Some of which he knew about, and others that were a little more dormant. One of the very clear things about Elijah was that he loved music a little too much for a 14 year old. The other thing, was that at 14 he had a little stubble which made him look a little older than he actually was. It wasn't something he either like or disliked. It was just another thing that made Elijah, Elijah. Plain and simple. Elijah was also not the type who was often without his guitar. It wasn't that he couldn't live without it. It was that he didn't want to. Elijah used his guitar as some form of wall between him and all others. It gave him confidence when he didn't normally have any. He knew that it wasn't exactly the best thing to use, to give confidence, but his guitar was the one constant thing in his life. Elijah was a flight risk and tended to not really stick to places for as long as some others might. It was why he was having such problems adjusting to his new home. Well, three or four. Elijah had been surprised to find that his family was rich, and that he was too. And yet Elijah could fit all that he owned into the small cupboard within his bed room in Paris. It also didn't help that Elijah couldn't speak a word of french and had a strong aussie accent. It was hard adjusting to a new family, with rules and a structure, when he was so used to doing whatever he fanced, whenever he wanted. Luckily at Hogwarts Elijah was a lot better at sticking around. He'd taken time out, but it was just because his family had seen it fit. Elijah had been glad to return to the school. It was a good school to go to. And he pretty much loved what it offered. The freedom and the people he was surrounded by. Elijah didn't have too many friends left. He'd left the school, and upon his return, there wasn't that many people left. And in a sense Elijah was actually annoyed, but he didn't know why they'd left, so he couldn't hold it against it against them. They would've had there reasons for leaving, like he had his.

After going to the Astronomy lesson, it had actually put Elijah in the mood to go to the grounds of the school. He had his guitar, which he'd gone to get as soon as the class was over. After that, he'd made his way right down to the lake front of the school grounds and sat at the bark of the tree. As he had walked, he'd played his guitar. No particular tune, just anything. Elijah eyes were glued to the lake, he had soft green eyes, and messy brown hair, that was messy to say the least. He was slowly strumming his guitar, quite content with being alone, with his guitar. It was a simple way of being. It was nice to just play his guitar in the outdoors. He was smiling to himself and his eyes were glued to the sky. There were two things that made Elijah happy. One was friends, the other was music. It didn't matter which he had, whether it was music or friends, he was content with half. Although a friend was always nice.

Audrina White, still being new to the school, was utterly lost. It wasn't the first time she had gotten lost before, but the fact that it was now dark, made it ten times worse. Audrina missed Beauxbatons dearly, and she wished she was still there. The only reason she had come to Hogwarts was to become better acquainted with her twin, but Audrina hadn't seen Bella once, the whole time she was there. It was a crazy thing to have been there for almost three weeks, and not have seen her twin yet, but it was a huge place.
Fear was beginning to pound Audrina's heart as she looked around her, having no clue as to what her surroundings were. She knew it was getting late, perhaps even past curfew, which frightened Audrina even more. There would be no students around to lead her the way to her dormitory, unless she ran into a Professor, which meant they would probably show her the way, but give her a detention while they were at it. As if that was what Audrina need right now. She was on the verge of tears, her breathing had become ragged and fast. All she knew, was she could see the stars, which wasn't comforting. How did she even end up outside? Audrina rushed around, trying to find her way back inside, before she stopped at the sound of a beautiful noise coming from the direction behind her. As though she was in a trance, Audrina automatically turned around and followed the sound curiously. It wasn't long before she found herself by the lake, watching a boy playing the guitar. Her feet kept following the sound of the guitar, until she regained her smart thinking and stopped before she was creepishly close to the boy. She took a deep breath in, unsure whether to make herself known or not, before her nerves got the better of her, and she took a step back shyly.

Elijah was one that was often out after hours. he did a whole range of things. But, it was mainly just playing his guitar. It was a real understatement to say that he spent a lot of time with his guitar. It was something which defined his very existance. The thing he treasured more than anything. More than his new parents. Which was saying something considering that Elijah was pretty close to them already. He wasn't bothered by the growing darkness, and the growing cold. It was all things that Elijah actually found pretty comforting. He didn't like when it was too hot and he could barely think. The sweat messed with his hands, making complicated melodies hard to play. In the cold, Elijah was able to play any melody without fearing that his fingers would shift slightly causing the most awful of sounds. Elijah grinned slightly to himself as he played. It really was how he liked to be. He didn't care much for huge crowds of people. Sure, it would be nice, but he really was content with just him and his guitar. A small movement in the back ground, made Elijah stop playing. He held down the strings so that no noise would be coming from the guitar. He glanced round and took a long deep breath out, when he noticed that it was a girl, slowly backing away from him. He gave a laugh. "You scared the daylights out of me" He laughed. Elijah had one of those laughs that was pretty contagious. At times he'd just be laughing because he'd heard his own laugh and that made him laugh. He leaned his head against the tree while letting his heart slow and his breathing pattern return to normal. "You really shouldn't creep up on me like that. Really. I love coming out here at night, but the mind plays tricks." Elijah looked back round to her and smiled. A friendly little smile. The one the fourteen year old always had. Although for the girl it seemed a little more normal. Like he already considered her a friend. He strummed his guitar and with his head motioned for her to join him. He didn't know if she would, but, surely there had been a reason why she'd been so close and backing away.

"What brings you out here? At this time of night? I'm assuming that you are not some horror movie psycho who is actually going to kill me and then burn my body. I trust that you are normal, Well, I trust that you won't kill me." Elijah continued to strum, speaking over the soft melody that he played. Elijah was a friendly person. He didn't assume things about people, like if they were slytherin, he didn't automatically think they were an evil person and it was the same with the other houses. "And for the record, I'm also not a horror movie psycho. Just a guy, who likes to sit in the cold dark outdoors and play his guitar. I'm sorry, I talk a lot. I don't ever quite know when to shut up. You want to join me?" Elijah looked back round at the girl, and really hoped he had not scared her away.

Audrina jumped when the boy let out a laugh. She didn't expect him to turn around or to notice her. She grinned sheepishly when he started to laugh. Audrina shook her head as he told her to not creep up on him. "I-I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to sneak up, I just heard the guitar!" Audrina said, genuinely sorry. She was about to turn and run away, completely embarrassed at the situation that was unfolding, but noticed the boy motioning for her to sit with him. She slowly made her way towards him, slightly nervous, and sat a bit away from him. It was the first time she actually saw the boy's face in the moonlight. She smiled a small smile in return to his as she made herself more comfortable, noting the features on his face. It was the first boy that Audrina actually noticed as a good looker. Most other boys she came across never caught her attention; but it was a fact that Audrina White wasn't that smooth with the guys - that gene was handed to her twin.
Audrina giggled as the boy talked about being a horror movie psycho. She shook her head with a smile on her face as the boy continued to talk. She had never known someone to talk to much; it was rarely something she ever did. Audrina nodded her head when he offered her to join him. What was the harm in that? Hogwarts was said to be one of the safest places. "I, um, am actually here because I got lost. I'm a transfer student, and still don't really know my way around." She replied softly, a smile still on her face. "I don't mind your talking. I don't ususally know what to say; so I suppose it is quite good. And thanks for not being a horror movie psycho." Audrina said, before cringing at her last words. She was thanking him for not being a psycho?

Elijah was a forward person, he got nervous and talked a lot. He tried to avoid doing it, but as soon as he thought about it, he talked more because he felt the need to explain. It was a force of habit of being a half hermit half his life. He really did stick to his own little world. He never really bothered with others and this showed when he was awful at talking to other people. At least with this girl he had his guitar and it was slightly later so he knew not many others would be out to see him stumble. He looked down at the guitar, as she said she'd heard the guitar. He wasn't that surprised, people tended to hear guitars and follow the sound. It was something that Elijah did. He followed his ears more than anything. Elijah loved playing and loved listening. He got excited when he heard a song he liked. Elijah didn't have any restrictions on music. He listened to anything and everything. Jazz, rock, classical, country. he didn't feel the need to stick to any one genre. Music was about passion and discovery. He knew his future lay in music. How that would work, he didn't care. He just knew he wanted to do music. "It's fine, really. No need to apologize. I would've done the same. Followed the music." Elijah just smiled as he spoke. He could see that she was somewhat nervous and this made him a little bit too. He didn't know if it was because he wasn't used to talking to girls, or if because he had something wrong with him. Like a stain on his face or something. Elijah had to refrain from wiping his face with his sleeve. He really hoped it wasn't something like that, because that would cause him to be very embarrassed and Elijah didn't deal well with embarrassment. Thankfully, while strumming his guitar his nervous decreased and he was able to just smile and act as if he was used to female attention. Unlike most at Hogwarts, Elijah didn't see himself as the type of guy girls would go for. He had soft features and dark tree green eyes. His hair was untidy and brown in colour. It was also curly at times. Something that Elijah had learned to live with. He smiled at the girl as she sat next to him. He was a little surprised that she'd sat down with him. He had talked a lot and didn't think she'd actually sit. "I'll help you back up to the school. What house are you in?" Elijah asked. He had admit he didn't know where most of the different houses were, but he would manage. He was pretty good at that. Elijah wondered if she'd even want his help.

Elijah still remembered what it had felt like when he'd first come to the school. It had been so big to him. There had been so many people. There was barely any peace and quite. It was just all noise. And Elijah had to admit it annoyed him slightly. Now he was better, since there were few fourth year boys left in the school. So, he had the dorm room to practice all night and all day. He laughed slightly when she thanked him for not being a horror movie psycho. It was weird how that was part of the conversation. "You are most welcome. If things do change and I do become a horror movie psycho, you shall be spared. I guess I should also welcome you to the school. It's pretty epic here, depending on who you know. I would stay clear of Slytherin, unless you are one, those people are pretty nasty. Not all of them, but most of them. I'm a hufflepuff, so, I'm just friendly." Elijah said smiling at her. He was friendly guy. So, everything he said was friendly. He never once really parted with the smile on his face. The smile changed depending his mood, but he hated frowning. "I'm Elijah. Some people call me Eli. But, to be honest you could call me whatever you like. My name is Elijah, but I'm not bothered what name you call me by. It's just a name." Rambled Elijah. "If I start rambling the best thing to do, is just stop me. Like cough, just don't sit around, or I will feel awful." laughed Elijah. Not really joking but meaning what he said. "Do you play the guitar?" Elijah strummed the guitar and looked up at her. He looked back to the guitar and after fixing the positions of his fingers he began to play Need you now By Lady Antebellum, a country song he quite enjoyed. He didn't sing, he just let it play as he spoke to the girl.

Audrina smiled as the boy said that it she had no need to apologize. She was glad that she hadn't run into a Slytherin, or some other person that would tear her to shreds, but rather a handsome boy that played the guitar. For some reason, a person that played guitar seemed less threatening to her - maybe it was the fact that the had something else to preoccupy his mind if they ran out of things to talk about - or something that held him back if she had to run away from him; she was very paranoid. The music he was playing soothed her, and while she was still nervous, and had no idea what to say, her heart slowly calmed down, and she found herself to be a bit more comfortable. Audrina smiled nervously back to the boy, as he returned her first nervous smile. It seemed to be running in what Audrina liked to think of as a vicious cycle. After all, nervousness was vicious. At least the seemed to react in different ways when they were nervous; Audrina didn't ever find any words to say, while the boy seemed to never run out of them. "I'm uh, in Hufflepuff." She started. "I think we're on the Fourth Floor, but I don't even really know how to get back inside." Audrina commented quietly, unable to speak any louder for reasons unknown to her.
Audrina laughed nervously when the boy said she would be spared if he were to become a psycho killer. Although knowing that he was probably joking, and even if he weren't, she would be spared, his comment did not make her feel at any ease. It did, however, make her heart start raising again, her palms feeling sweaty, she started to think that maybe she should just find her own way back. But she mentally shook her head as the boy continued to speak, knowing she was just being stupid. A smile finally grew on her face again as the boy said he was also from Hufflepuff. She knew then that she would be absolutely fine being a Hufflepuff herself, and knowing all the traits of one. He really was just a friendly, talkative guy that Audrina had nothing to worry about. She laughed softly as he rambled on about his name, and then told her to just stop him if he keeps rambling. She shook her head, showing that she didn't mind. "No, it's okay! I really don't mind you rambling." Audrina smiled sweetly. "It's nice to meet you Elijah. I'm Audrina. But yeah, you can call me whatever as well. . ." She said. Audrina watched the boy as he strummed on his guitar, a small infatuation growing in her heart. This boy was sweet, good looking and could play the guitar. It seemed like a good combination for Audrina. She shook her head when he asked if she could play the guitar. "No, I do love it though. I love music." She smiled at Elijah.
