Magne always had a little trouble readjusting to being back. certainly being out on a boat for the whole break wasn't for everyone, but for Magne it was everything. he loved it. The gentleness with which the sea would rock him to sleep. He was used to it. But school was nothing like that, it was firm, solid. He ventured out of the common room, it was before curfew but the sun had set already, so early as it always did in winter. He wandered up to the north tower and stood looking out at the stars.

Rosalind had gotten used to the quiet during her time away from Hogwarts. With just her dad at home, there wasn't much noise or people, or anything like that. Suddenly she was surrounded by people and getting reading done wasn't the easiest. Rosalind was seated, hidden away from view from the stairs and reading by wandlight, when she heard someone come up. She peeked round and saw it was Magne. She got up from her spot on the floor, and walked into view. "Hey, Magne!" she said cheerily as she held her book to her side. "Are you trying to find some quiet too? So many new Gryffindor first years, the common room is just...well, full of them. Did you have a good break?"

Magne glanced towards the girl, Rosalind as she approached and he gave a little smile. "Hey," he greeted warmly. He then glanced back out and gave a half shrug. "We've definitely not had as many new first years, but I wanted to look at the stars," he said gesturing vaguely up at them. "I did, I miss them when I'm here," he said, without really saying too much. "You?"

Rosalind, as though noticing for the first time, looked out into the night and the stars. "Oh wow," she said, stepping closer to peer into the sky. Rosalind then looked back to Magne. "Them? Your parents?" she asked. "My break was good, nothing too exciting, but nothing too boring either. Mostly spent it reading, if I'm honest," she said with a grin. She then looked back out to the sky. "I should have paid closer attention to astronomy class. I can hardly remember the names of any of the stars."

Magne nodded, "yeah, my parents," he said, and gave a little smile. he didn't think it was too obvious that was who he meant and was more than content to easily clarify it. He then nodded to what she said. "yeah? Read anything good?" he asked, always keen to get new things to read. "some are easier to spot than others, but I don't you need to remember them, to be able to stargaze,"
