It was another new year and already Patricia could feel that it was going to be a good year for her. This was going to be her first full year without being within the grounds of Hogwarts New Zealand, she still found it strange to think about being a Graduate but she was quickly getting over it now as she had enough to keep her busy. While she was busy she didnt mind because she was kept mostly busy with her job, her dream job at that. She was so happy and proud of herself that she had gone through her initial six month trail stage of her Healer job at St Mungos and was now an official Healer. She had never even considered becoming a Healer after Hogwarts until a few years ago when, her now Step Mother, Niccy had started to influence her and train her, it was then that she knew that it was the job for her. It ticked all the boxes for what she looked for in a job, it was never boring, full of new things to learn everyday and she was able to help people, something that was important to her. If someone didnt know her, it wouldnt be hard to figure out that she was a Hufflepuff back at Hogwarts New Zealand. Not that minded some of the typical stereotypes as she was definitely used to it by now and she couldnt deny that she had the traits of a typical Hufflepuff so she just shrugged it off now, after seven years of it one got used to it. For Patricia, now that he training was over the next thing she had to decide on was which areas of Healing did she want to specialise in. Of course she was going to be a general Healer so she could do bits and pieces all over St Mungos if need be but picking a speciality was a bit hard for her. There was so many to choose from and they all sounded so interesting but in the end she knew what the best choice for her was and when she thought on it she wondered how she hadnt decided to choose it sooner. Potion and Plant Poisoning along with Potion and Medicine Maker was what Patricia had finally decided on and it made perfect sense really. She had received top grades in Potions and Herbology during her time at Hogwarts and loved both the subjects having both Professors as family members also had nothing to do with it. Although now Patricia had finished up her training and was down as an official member of staff she was granted a few days off before starting the real work.
With it being the New Year Patricia had decided to go see her family and catch up with them as it had been a while since she saw them and she did miss them but they understood how things had gotten busy for her. Not only was her professional life busy but her personal life was a bit hectic also but what else would one expect when there was a new addition to your life, granted it wasnt hers but she did live in the same flat. She, of course, was talking about Lunas, her flatmate and best friend, baby girl. Adele was an adorable little girl and Patricia dotted over her like nothing normal and would spoil her like crazy. Then again Patricia needed some time off for herself and now that she only had a few days left of her break before going back to wok she decided to take the day away from everyone to enjoy the great weather that summer in New Zealand always brought. Putting on an appropriate summer dress and sandals Patricia made her way down cobbled streets of Brightstone Village, that was good and quiet now that the children had gone back to school. Enjoying the heat and the silence Patricia took a seat one of the benches near the park and took out the small book she had been reading, having not found time lately to sit and relax and continue reading the book. One of the habits that Patricia had picked up over the years with fiddling with anything that she could when she was reading and today was no exception; without thinking her free hand reached up for the necklace around her neck and she started to play with the heart pendant on it. She had took to putting this necklace on without thinking by now and from time to time it reminded her that she should really get round to contacting Yvo. Now she was out of school the two had very little reason not to see each other, unless they were both working of course which was possible as they both had jobs. Sighing softly she tried to make a mental note that she should write him a letter when she got home, she only had a few days left before starting work again and she really wanted to catch up with him, it was too long since they had seen each other last.
