Elise walked through the lonely harbor hearing her heels clacking behind her. She had just come back here to see the harbor on a cool summers night. The brunette was at a party that one of her old friends threw. Elise asked Michael if he wanted to come, but he didn't; she didn't really know why, but he said that he would rather be at home.

She walked quietly down the street looking at the water flowing from side to side, if only she could by a house right beside the ocean. Maybe she would ask Michael that for Valentines day. She looked at her phone and it was nearly 2 in the morning, but she loved being by herself at night, being able to think freely.

Mark found himself unable to sleep at home. Lowan was crying and he was terrible when he was tired and didn't want to start arguments with anyone so he had got dressed and come outside to get some fresh air. It had worked wonders and he was no longer tired now, just enjoying the fresh air of the harbour at night was enough to relax him. It was so quite all he could hear was the water lapping over itself and hitting the wall and the sound of a woman's heels on the ground. He followed the railing across through Obsidian. A cool breeze blowing in his face to keep him cool. It was a warm night but Mark never really felt the weather much, he was like his cousin in that sense. The young Veela walked until he saw a girl. He had only spotted her when he was a few paces away from her. He felt a little awkward now that he had stopped so close to her, it kind of meant he had to talk to her, which was fine as she was quite pretty and if here was anything he could do it was talk to pretty girls. "Urm hey there." He said quietly.Ok so maybe having a girl friend for so long made him out of practise.

Elise looked out onto the water, why is it that water is peaceful and a human life couldn't be peaceful. " Oh hello there." She laughed as she turned around to see the boy. " My names Elise." She smiled as she put out her hand so that he could shake it. " I thought that I was going to be the only one out here at two in the morning." She sighed.

Mark smiled at the girl as she said hello back to him. At least she seemed friendly. He thought his himself as he took hold her hand and shook it. "Elise, nice name. French right?" He asked before letting go of his hand and letting his drop back don to his side. "Im Mark." He said quickly a he realised that he had not actually introduced himself when she did. Biting his lower lip as he looked out over the water quickly before looking back at her as he heard her voice talking to him. "Oh well im sorry to disappoint. Im only out here because I couldn't sleep with a crying baby in the house. I live with my cousins wife and they have a kid so it can get kind of noisy there.....And messy." He id with a frown. He could still remember having to change a dirty nappy for Lowan, he had thrown up. It had not been a pretty sight that was for sure. It also mean Mark had to give him a bath which had not one well either. He was apparently terrible with looking after kids.

Elise laughed as she talked to Mark. " Oh dear, I can only imagine that." She shook her head as she laughed. " I think that I'll refrain from children for a while, I'm not the best person with children as it seems." Her cousins baby didn't like her at all. " So, I'm taking this spot as the thinking spot for most people." She laughed as she flipped her hair back.

Mark chuckled and nodded. "Yeah it wasn't pretty. Im not good with babies, I was asked to change a dirty nappy an I ended up throwing up in the baby. Not a good thing to do. I then had to give him a bath after it and I got more wet then he did. Im still not sure how that happened." He said with a puzzled look on his face. He wasn't as bad a nappy changing now but he still thought it was gross and would try to avoid doing it at al costs. "Well yo can do but im not here to think. Just calm down and get away from a crying baby." He said cracking his neck. "So what are you escaping from?" He asked her curious of why she was out here at this time of night

Elise laughed, " Oh woot, dirty nappy's are my favourite." She joked. Elise didn't really want to see a dirty nappy until she really had too. " I'm not really not running away from anything." Elise smiled. She really wasn't running away from Michael. " My husband is just sometimes making me angry, which questions my mind as to why I got married young sometimes." But she did love her husband.

Mark laughed at her joked and nodded. "Mmmm totally." He said joking with her. Leaning against the railings as he listened to Elise talk about how she was not escaping from anything. He as about to interject but she beat him too it and he listened to her again. He was a little shocked to hear that she was married. She couldn't be that much older than he as, even though he really liked Alana he wouldn't get married to her. "Wow you really are young to be married. I mean I really like my girl friend but I wouldn't get married to her." He said to her quickly, still kind of shocked at what she had told him

Elise nodded, " That's what I thought after I got married." She shrugged her shoulders. " It wasn't my idea, it was my husbands, it was so quick too." She sighed. " I was so in shock that I said yes, and I didn't really think about everything." She shook her head. " I think that it was too quick." Her brown eyes looked over at him.

Mark pressed his lips together as he listened to Elise. He did feel sorry for her, he got the impression that she really didn't like the fact that she was married and he couldn't blame er. The thought of a commitment which should e life long scared the cr@p out of him but that was just him being a typical teenage boy. "Maybe you should talk to him about it. Im sure of you explain your feelings he would understand." Mark said trying to make her feel better. Having absolutely no experience in this field he didn't know how well his advice would be. "How long have you known him?" Mark asked her curious if it was a high school romance that had been going on for years. It wouldn't seem so drastic to him then

Elise nodded, " Mark, I didn't know what to do, I mean, he was so nice and everything." She sighed as she looked out onto the water, focusing her brown eyes to watch the waves. " I'm just too nice to let someone down, it's not in me you know?" Elise shrugged her shoulders. The brunette flipped her hair back, " I knew him for about 5 months before we got married, I know short right?" Elise put her face in her hands, did she make a big mistake?

Mark bit his lips and looked to the floor. He really didn't know her enough to help her out properly seeing as he had only known a few minutes really. "When you say was, does that mean he ins't nice any more?" Mark asked her curiously. He hated it when other guys mistreated girls, it wasn't right. "Well what about you mean not letting someone else down could end up letting you down. Don't spend your life trying to make everyone else happy because then who's there to make yo happy. Just take some time for yourself." He said trying to offer a bit of friendly advice to her seeing as he didn't like to see a girl upset. Marks eye brows raised when she said that she had known him only if around five months before hand. In his opinion this had happened so quickly. Riley had known Adele two years before he proposed to her, and even to him that was short. But that was just him being a teenager about the subject. "Just a little short. Blimey five months and you made a life long commitment too him." He said before shaking his head with confusion.

Elise sighed, " No, he treats me right, don't get me wrong about that." Elise shook her head, " It's just that I was so caught up in the moment of really being into him, that I couldn't say no to him." The brunette shrugged her shoulders. " When I think about it now, it was just so crazy and it just might be infatuation with him, not love." She looked up at Mark. " Now I just think that it's short, I didn't think that then." She said with a little laugh, and side smile.

Mark was more relaxed to hear hat her husband treated her well, he couldn't stand men mistreating girls. Not having any experience in this sort of situation Mark found himself again unable to say anything. He had no idea hat the difference between love and infatuation was having never experienced both. Well he wasn't sure if he had loved any of his girl friends, only being 17 it wasn't the thing he felt too much of. "Wel urm. Not being he best person to talk to about this sort of thing I would just say to do what you think is best. If you think staying with him unhappily is the best option then do it." He said scratching the back of his head awkwardly as he spoke.[/small]

Elise shrugged her shoulders, " I really don't want to talk about this anymore." She gave a slight laugh and turned her head at the water. " You know that feeling when your doing something utterly wrong, but it feels right in the moment?" Elise asked Mark. " I feel like that everyday, but whatever." She shook her head. " Sorry about that, I just tend to over work myself, and it really tires me out." The brunette laughed.

Mark nodded slowly. He wouldn't object to her not wanting to talk any more on the subject. He din't know her at all except her name and she was in n unhappy marriage. "Yeah I know that feeling. It never lasted for me hough, always ended up badly and left me is so much pain." He said with a sigh as he thought back no his depression. It ad started with Cecily leaving him for no real reason then got worse. He was better now. A lot better. "Don't apologise. We all need someone to vent to. Better a stranger than anyone else really. Well that's what I think anyway." He said with a small shrug before following her gaze over the water once again.

Elise smiled, " Thank you for being such a nice stranger." She laughed as she turned around to face him. " So where are you from?" She asked curiously. " I take that you go to school somewhere near here." She put her hands in her pockets, it was a nice night bit it was getting a bit chilly.
