Sofia comes from the Greek word meaning wisdom; the name has been passed down through Sofia's family through generations coming from her original heritage in Greece. Jo is short for her late father's name of Johannes. Loris has Italian Christian heritage.​

Appearance
Sofia is an 11 year old girl. She has light red and brown shoulder-length hair. It is severely straight with bangs. Her original hair color is a dark brown, but throughout the years had developed red and blonde from the sun in her hair. She has big, blue eyes that sometimes change to brown when she gets very mad.
At 5'0, 130 lbs, she's on the bigger side at her age, which she is fine with. She likes food, coming from a Greek family.
She's very neat in what she wears. A perfectionist, she never wants to look sloppy. Everything is always "cute" and as professional as an 11 year old could muster. She could fit into the style of preppy.

Personality
Sofia has Type A Personality. She's a perfectionist and always strives to be the best at everything. However, she is very prone to panic attacks because of the pressure she puts on herself. She is very left-brained; she becomes very skeptical unless you can prove something to her.
Food is her source of comfort. Coming from a Greek heritage, she has been cooking and baking her whole life. She likes cooking varieties of food from around the world, but her favorite would have to be cooking Italian pasta. Her favorite color is periwinkle.

History
Sofia comes from a very mixed background. Her father, Johannes Loris, was mainly German and a muggle. Although, looking into her family history, this side of the family fled from Italy in the 3rd century because of association with a supposed Saint Laurence who was roasted alive, which is where Loris comes from.

Sofia's mother, Marilena Lupo comes from a long line of wizards and magic-related relatives. Marilena lived outside of Stresa, Italy her whole life. However, there is much Greek heritage in her line. There is history of Greek wizards with the last name of Sanna who sold hay and lived as peasants in Athens. They eventually fled to Italy when their family was accused of having a werewolf in their presence and were attacked by angry villagers in 1868. This is where the current last name of Lupo comes from, meaning wolf. The family stayed in Italy, schooling at Hogwarts in Scotland.

Marilena and Johannes met by medical incident. They were at St. Mungo's visiting ill family members who were in the same room. They became married in 2014. Marilena never told Johannes about her being a wizard, which is what unfortunately led to his demise. They had a girl in late 2014, Zenzi Anna Loris. However, due to travels that the two parents wanted to continue, they gave Zenzi to Johannes' parents in Germany. They had been raising her magic free until she received a letter to study at Hogwarts in Scotland. Marilena paid off Johannes' parents to send her to school and keep track of her once she turned 11. In early 2020, Marilena became pregnant with Sofia. She and Johannes were still traveling when they came in contact with an Ashwinder. They were camping in Switzerland when Johannes went into the woods to gather fire wood. The fire was set ablaze by the Ashwinder with Johannes inside. Marilena managed to control the fire while contacting the local Ministry of Magic. However, Johannes was dead before they could get him out.

Full of grief, Marilena packed up her life on the road and moved to Australia to get away from everyone after Sofia was born in Stresa. They have been living in Sydney ever since.

Interests: Sofia likes to go outdoors and cook. She and her mother camp and study wildlife throughout Sydney and random travels. She cooks for fun with her mother, who taught her how to cook.

Strengths: She will accomplish anything that she is told to within the deadline and make it more than you want it.

Weaknesses: Panic attacks, slight OCD, and being a skeptic. She also wishes for some kind of family in her life, as she's never had any. You could say she has Daddy issues.

Hogwarts Dreams: She would eventually like to become a prefect and Head Girl.

Plans for the future: She would like to graduate top of her class and study magical creatures throughout the world.

Patronus: Her patronus is a trumpeter swan, and her memory for the patronus is when her class gave her a birthday party when she was 8, as it was the first time she felt she had people care for her like a family besides her mother.

Boggart: Seeing her mother killed by dangerous magical creatures.

Mirror of Erised: Her whole big family, different cultures and all.
