Zazuka had her legs off the edge of the cliff. She had been here before though she was a Prefect. It was one of those places that didn't get dinged a lot even though it had a rule attached to it. She was looking at the solid winder sky. It had been gray for days but not a drop fell yet. Not even show in which she would dance if the snow flurry was strong enough. Something to take the edge off her need. It had been getting better over the last few days but it was still in the back of her head, nagging at her. The studying was getting to her head too.

Zazuka was singing though. One of the few things Zazuka liked about herself was that she had a good voice. Not a perfect voice like what she heard out of the mouths of some of the girls and boys here but still good enough for her to like to sing from time to time. People who heard her said she was good. The ocean seemed to like her singing too because it seemed to slam a little less against the stones at the bottom.

"One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small,
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all.

Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall.

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall,
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call.

Call Alice
When she was just small.

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low.

Go ask Alice
I think she'll know.

When logic and proportion
Have fallen softly dead,
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said:
"Feed your head. Feed your head. Feed your head"

Zazuka had her hands raised to the sky, her voice taking on an opera-ish feel. She wasn't expecting anything but she hoped that nature liked how she sang and would leave her alone for an afternoon. She could feel a pressure against her forehead again. Though the herbs that she was treating herself with controlled her visions she could still feel them trying to crawl their way up. This more than anything made her wish for the bliss that came in a bottle. There was only one thing stopping her from going to it.
