A blonde strand of hair fell into Caroline's face, blocking her view of the novel that was sitting on the table in front of her. She pushed the hair back behind her ear as she continued to read. Finally, her first year exams were finish. While Caroline had yet to receive her marks, she felt as though she had done rather well, especially for her first year. There were only a few days before they were to be heading back home, and Caroline dreaded it. She enjoyed Hogwarts where she had friends and things to do. At home, the blonde would be trapped by her parents and their expectations of her. Caroline always felt as if she was lacking in every way when she was around them. She made an extra effort to control her abilities as her parents despised when she shifted any portion of herself. Caroline felt as though they were ashamed of her because she had been born a genetic freak. The Gryffindor wasn't sure she could spend the next two or three months with them. Her only comfort was that they so frequently ignored her that she was free to do what she wished.

The blonde was back of the library, next to a large glass window that overlooked the lake. The weather outside was deceptive. From inside, it appeared as if the temperature would be warm and appeasing. However, it was not that way at all. Despite the sunshine streaming in upon her table, it was icy cold outside. This window was as close as Caroline Beckett would come to being outdoors which really was a shame because she truly loved being surrounded by nature and all of the beautiful things that came with it. Spring was her most favorite time of year, but they were still several months away from that. The Gryffindor's silvery grey eyes scanned the grounds, wondering if it would be snowing soon. Caroline would gladly brave the cold for a chance to go play in the snow. A sigh escaped her lips. The pretty little girl would be happy to fast forward to the spring because that would mean it was time to come back to Hogwarts.

It smelled of books. Obviously. The library had a very definitive, strong smell of binding and pages and ink. It sort of intoxicated Eddie Bliss. Being creepy and getting a rise out of people was one of the greatest treasures of hilarity. Coming to someone you didn't know and stroking their face until they got up and left, sitting just inches from someone and telling them how gorgeous you think they are with your eyes opened wide, or even vulgarly hitting on an obviously straight man. Things like that were always bound to get an unholy cackle from the young snake. There was never anything quite like making someone nervous enough to leave your presence. There was nothing that the first year hated more than an awkward silence. They were almost painful in their nagging determination to make him blush and act like a complete idiot. Today Eddie was being intentionally creepy as he stood behind one of the towering bookshelves in the library and peered through the space above the books at that Gryffindor girl. Watching another person from afar without their knowledge isn't creepy.. it's a felony. He thought to himself as he pulled a random book off the shelf and cracked it open without so much as a mere glance at the cover or the page he opened up to. His dark eyes were set on young cub who he may or may not have seen going into the library and followed at a distance. He flipped the pages in the book as if to skim through the pages that he hadn't even looked down at yet in an attempt to look like he was there for a better reason than he really was.

The entire time he stood watching this girl, he couldn't help but feel like not only an idiot, but a coward. His face drew closer to the break in the cluster of books and he rested a hand on the shelf itself. What would he say if the girl caught him? Perhaps, "Hey Hey little lady." Maybe not. He closed the book and looked at its hard, dark green cover finally with a furrowed brow. Eddie looked back up towards the blonde just as the blonde glanced up in a different direction. He quickly backed out of the way with the book held tightly to his chest. This is just ridiculous. What are you doing? Following around a girl and hiding around corners from her? That's just wrong. What are you? Seven? He peeked around the corner at the lovely again. A perfect female to annoy, he thought as he slowly approached the chairs. Eddie's dark eyes were still glued to the blonde that sat just feet away, she would be her target for the day. Slowly but surely, he walked like a monkey. Obviously out of his mind, he got the random book that was still glued to his hand and placed it on the table, the one where the blonde was reading alone. He looked at what was the blonde looking at and snickered, while saying. "They say I have A.D.D. but I think they're full of...oh look a kitty!" he exclaimed as he got distracted with a kitten passing by. And that starts their conversation, he was never the guy to say hello or hi's anyway.

Caroline jumped slightly as she heard a person put a book down right beside her. The blonde had been so lost in her thoughts about the outdoors that she had not noticed the boy approaching. The sudden shift had startled her out of her thoughts. Caroline glanced at the boy, noting that she had seen him around in her classes. By the look of his uniform, she could tell that he was a Slytherin. Before even introducing himself, the Slytherin boy started rambling on about something called ADD. What in the world was that? Caroline had never heard of such a thing. The sweet girl was wondering if she should be taking this boy to the hospital wing to be checked out. Her light silver colored eyes peered strangely into the boy's dark ones, trying to figure him out. Why did he just suddenly come over here to talk to her?

Caroline swept a piece of blonde hair behind her ear before leaning down to pick up her kitten. "Yes, well she's just come to find me." she said, stroking the kitten's head. "She gets concerned if I'm out of the dorm to long." Caroline said, looking fondly at the sweet kitten. The Gryffindor looked back at the Slytherin with curiosity. He was different, but then again, so was she. Caroline wasn't about to judge someone when she didn't wish for others to judge her that easily.

Who would have thought that Hogwarts New Zealand would welcome a muggle-born, naughty kid like Eddie Bliss. All he could think of is to ruin the smiles on the students faces or rather make them wild or crazy. He couldn't help but wonder if it was meant for him to be here, when he isn't eager to study much. Then again, maybe Eddie being a first year didn't made sense just yet. It was all about fun and games for the little devil, he's eagerness to study will progress later on. Eddie faced the girl as she uttered some words, about the kitten being hers. As much as he loved to play with animals, he didn't much liked felines unless it's a girl wearing an adorable costume of a cat of course. Ah! Now, that would be adorable. Returning his attention to the girl, Eddie walked a few steps closer to her until her decided to take a seat in front of the girl without her permission. "Good thing you don't know A.D.D Blondie!" he exclaimed clapping both of his hands while chuckling like an eighty year old man. Ending his moment with a cough, like he's suffocating or something. "So, that kitten is yours I suppose." Eddie responded while pointing a finger at the kitten; his fresh Irish accent swirling through the library. A few students looked at him with a nasty glare, when they heard him causing some noise. "Oh shush it it, @sshats." he replied to them. After, he faced the girl with a big grin on he's face. Once again another round of students pondered him with angry eyes, Eddie on the other hand rolled his eyes on them.

Crossing his legs like a gentleman would, the second year stared at the blonde for a while before even muttering a word, followed by sniffing the girl. "You smell like Vanilla. Tell me are you hiding a stash of cookies somewhere?" he asked, inches away from the girls face before returning back to his sit. Somewhere in this old library, the librarian must be furious of the boy making a scene. Eddie on the other hand doesn't care. All he wanted now was cookies or anything that can be fun. Quickly he looked at the time, "I still have a few minutes to spare." the snake said while putting both of his feet on the table, at the same time stretching his arms. "Tell me, what's your name or I may call you cookie." he continued on teasing him. Eddie's signature grin appeared on his face, "Golly, this girl makes me hungry." on the back of his mind he wondered if he could have some pop tarts later on.
