Siobhan Origin: Siobhan is another form of “Joan” which means God is Gracious.
Dymphna Origin: Dymphna comes from “Damhnait,” which means little fawn. This was given to her because she was born eight weeks prematurely and was very tiny when she was born.
McGowan Origin: McGowan means "son of the blacksmith."

She has long legs and a shorter torso. She has a scar-looking birthmark in the shape of a triangle starting on her thumb and going over the back of her hand.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Siobhan is a very easy going person. She enjoys being around people and making new friends all over the world. Her “happy places” would be the Quidditch Pitch, Muggle camping in a low traffic area, and spending time with her family. She hopes to have a partner and biological children someday (probably two). When Siobhan commits to something, she will work on it until she is exhausted. Academics were not her strongest suit, but she was committed to receiving good grades so she could get a good job. She has always wanted to be a professional Quidditch Player and eventually would like to work in sports medicine to help prevent common Quidditch Injuries.

Parents: Kathleen McGowan and Doran McGowan married October 6, 2012, after they found out, unexpectedly, that they were pregnant with Siobhan. Their lineage comes from Ireland which led to their decision to stay close to family and live on the outskirts of Dublin.
Kathleen Worth McGowan was born on January 15, 1992. She was very frail, tall, skinny, has thin blond hair but a stern face. Siobhan gets her love of Quidditch from her mother, who had played with other local magical people since she was young. This influence came from attending her first Quidditch World Cup in 1999. Kathleen is a mix-blooded witch and stays at home with the younger children. Five adjectives that describe Kathleen are hard-working, kind, very intelligent, handy, and giving. Karen was found dead on April 12, 2028 inside of her home. It was investigated by the Ministry of Magic and deemed “unsolved” but is believed to be committed by someone taking out revenge on Doran.
Doran McGowan was born on October 5, 1990. Doran is a bigger, burly man who has a beard and ginger hair. He is half-blooded and works as a Hit Wizard for various shady parties. He is very friendly and caring when it comes to his family and friends. Five adjectives that describe Doran mischievous, hard-working, comical, kind, and stubborn. Doran disappeared on August 29, 2047. There has been no communication with him since his disappearance.
Finola McGowan was born July 7, 2017, and is the younger twin sister of Flurry. She attended Hogwarts Scotland from Years 1-7 and was always interested in pursuing a career relevant to potions. She currently works as a gamer and as a muggle nurse while living with Siobhan. She's curious, spunky, and a bit nerdy, spendy a lot of time reading graphic novels and muggle comic books.
Flurry McGowan was born July 7, 2017, is the older twin brother of Finola. He attended Hogwarts Scotland but left during his 6th year after he began to fail many of classes. He is currently working at rural muggle farm run by an elderly man. Flurry has never been a fan of magic and has decided to stay away from the Wizarding World when at all possible. He overcompensates for his hatred of magic by pursuing occupations in physical labor. While he works hard, Siobhan still provides him a small stipend to keep him on his feet every month, a statement that he dislikes by nonetheless accepts. Five words to describe Flurry would be resourceful, arrogant, troublesome, compassionate, and clever.
H I S T O R Y
Siobhan was born in Dublin, Ireland in 2013, the first of three children to Doran and Kathleen McGowan. She attended a private school for young witches and wizards until she was of age to attend Hogwarts. Her parents decided to send her to Hogwarts New Zealand for a change of pace. She attended there until her mother passed away unexpectedly during her fourth year. She finished the remainder of her fourth year through owl correspondence. After the incident, Siobhan transferred to Hogwarts Scotland to be closer to her family. She graduated in 2031 and freelanced as a Quidditch instructor and coach for youth league teams and worked as a waitress at a local pub for wizards until her father’s mysterious disappearance.
Siobhan spent much of the first 5 years after her father's disappearance looking for answers. She was given the run around from the UK Ministry of Magic and eventually came to the conclusion that her father was dead. Her siblings and she came together after scrounging enough for a headstone by their mother's. The death of both their parents did a number on her brother Flurry, and he is a recluse, currently living in the UK. She sends him money every month to make sure he is okay and has help. She lives with her sister Finola and Flynn when he is on break from school.
In 2053(?), she met a young boy named Flynn North, who had also lost his parents. She started to care for him, which eventually lead to her adopted Flynn in 2054. At his graduation in 2058, he surprised her with paperwork showing he changed his name to Flynn North-McGowan.
In 2056, Siobhan began her unsuccessful campaign for Minister of Magic. While she had what she thought were good ideas, she realized that she didn't know how to stand out above the crowd and didn't like negative nature associated with debates. This caused her to pull back and fall behind in the race.
