Simon was born in 2009 to Amelia and Harry Wilburn. He was never really raised as a wizard (by his father's decision) and so never learnt anything of the magical world. At the age of seven (the usual age for a witch or wizard to begin showing their colours) Simon gave no signs of possessing any magical powers. It was soon realised that he was a Squib and his parents decided to continue raising him like a muggle. Amelia finally, after having an argument with Harry over how their daughter, Rosemary, should be raised, Amelia left Harry and disappeared. The family received a letter a few months later stating that Amelia was getting married. She has not been heard from since and Rosemary and Simon now live with just their father. Simon was still raised as a muggle and his father gave secret lessons in magic to Rosemary. However, Simon is slowly beginning to notice cracks in his family's story and is curious as to what they're hiding. He doesn't realise how much learning the truth could blow his mind.
