Sydney sat down on a bench in Brightstone. She had just finished her christmas shopping, aswell as buying a load of new clothes for herself. The presents for other people took up one of her six bags, it was normal for her. She was wearing a pretty old outfit, most of the ones she were now old in her opinion, hense the big shop. Though she hadn't bought any shoes this time, she still loved all of hers, especially those she wore today.

Sydney closed her eyes and sighed, her first term had been extremely hectic. From being forced into new friends by her closest friend to her father dying to one of the new friends falling really ill. It had left her pretty drained. To be perfectly honest with herself, she didn't really like the other friends Shay had introduced her too, she liked Sam, the ill one, but the girls were just annoying in her eyes. Sydney was so deep in her thoughts of her past term she failed to notice the boy sitting down on the bench.

For the students of Durmstrang, this weekend was a Brightstone weekend, to allow them to do all of there Christmas shopping before they left the Castle for the holidays. Demetre, however, was choosing to spend his Christmas in the dreary castle. It wasn't the best place to celebrate the day, but it was better than spending it with his parents. Still, he had bought presents for his family to send home. He'd gotten Deveron, his little brother, a firebolt for him to practice Quidditch and flying on, and he'd gotten Arlina, his sister, a pair of pyjamas and a make-up set! He'd had no idea what to get her, and he was still to buy his parents gifts.
Demetre wasn't a big fan of shopping, he only liked it when he was choosing out things for himself, but today this wasn't the case. He always ended up spending hours in the Quidditch shop, it was one of the only shops which interested him!
Stiffling a yawn, Demetre spotted a bench a little up the street and hurried up to it, noticing, as he drew closer, that there was already a girl sitting on it. She looked a little younger than him, but not by much, and she was pretty. Sitting himself down, he turned his head towards the girl who appeared to be deep in thought. "Don't mind if I sit here, do you?" he asked, his usual crooked smile taking place on his face.

Sydney was pulled out of her thoughts by the voice of a male. She turned to see who had interupted her, seeing an older boy infront of her with bags, though not as many has herself. The blonde shook her head, not used to the new shortness of her hair style, she had just gotten it cut. "Of course you can, why wouldn't you?" It's not like I own the bench. Sydney added the last part in his mind.

The Slytherin looked over this boy. He was alright, borderline cute. Well, past borderline cute. To her, he seemed pretty cool, looks wise, hopefully he was cool personality wise or she'd have to move benches. Sydney hated it when she had to move benches, half the time the people came with her.
