Noel was in the midst of going over homework assignments when the first second-years walked into the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. He looked over to them and gave them an friendly smile to welcome them. It would be the last lesson of the year with this batch of second-years so he wanted to give them the same opportunity he had given the first-year class. They could either stay and practice their wandwork or leave to study for the end-of-semester exam. It was up to them, he was perfectly fine with helping them out with their wandwork. '' Hello everyone. Last lesson already again.'' He than told them, the time did fly. '' I'm going to give you two options for today.'' Noel than stood up and walked to the front of his desk, facing the students. ''You may either choose to stay here and practice your wandwork or leave to study for the exam in the library or somewhere else where it's quiet. Remember that the exam will consist of a practical and a written portion, meaning you must study both. You'll have to partner up with another student for the exam portion involving spell-casting.'' Professor Waldgrave told them. He wanted them to be well aware about how the exam would look like.

He then tapped his wand on the blackboard next to him and made some writing appear on it. ''This is everything I want you to know for the end-of-semester exam. Study it well. Please don't hesitate to see me if you have any questions about the exam. The door to my office is always open for questions.'' Noel said to them with an friendly smile. He hoped they would make use of it if neccesary. Noel dismissed the class to do as they pleased. Once those that wanted to study somewhere else had left, the professor waved his wand and magically pushed the chairs and desks to both sides of the classroom so that those who remained could safely practice their wandwork. As always, he was available for questions and walked around to help out.

Morrie sat down in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom for the final lesson, but bolted when Professor Waldgrave mentioned they could study elsewhere. Without a second thought, she headed for the Slytherin common room for a nap.

Jean Lancaster-Snow entered the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. This was the last lesson of the year, and Professor Waldgrave had been one of his favorite teachers. Jean settled into his seat, listening intently. When Professor Waldgrave gave them the two options for the day - either stay and practice wandwork or leave to study for the exam - Jean made his decision quickly. He wanted to stay and practice his spells, knowing that the practical portion of the exam was just as important as the written part. After the professor outlined the exam details and the study topics on the blackboard, Jean took careful notes. The information was crucial, and he wanted to make sure he was thoroughly prepared. When Professor Waldgrave dismissed the class to either stay or leave, Jean got up and started to practice with a partner for the remainder of the class. He left after half an hour since he felt that he was good to go.

Osiris Vale sauntered into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, a glint of anticipation in his eyes. Listening somewhat as Professor Waldgrave explained their options, Ozzy felt a surge of freedom. He did like to choose. When Professor Waldgrave dismissed the class to choose their preferred activity, Ozzy immediately decided to stay and practice. As the other students who opted to leave trickled out, he moved to the front of the room, ready to dive into his spellwork. The professor’s reminder about the practical and written portions of the exam echoed in his mind, but he was confident in his ability to handle both. He got up and left to go study, maybe.

Minerva strolled into the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, barely enthused. Professor Waldgrave greeted the class with a friendly smile, announcing their last lesson and offering them a choice: stay to practice wandwork or leave to study for the exam. It was a pretty straight forward decision for Minerva, as soon as Professor Waldgrave had finished speaking she picked up her bag that had barely hit the ground and left the classroom to ‘study’ elsewhere.

Apolline was very content with her choice of classes, she felt like she’d made the right decisions with all of them. She was so eager to be able to get started on them. Though it was a whole break away. She just felt good about her decisions and about what it would mean for her future. The gryffindor was getting herself ready for her classes, making sure she had the completed homework and revision she would need before packing it all into her bag and then heading out of the dorm and to class.

Apolline walked into the defence against the dark arts classroom, and took her usual spot in the room. Her gaze moved to the front of the class as the professor got started. She nodded at what he said, and then looked to the board as the review items appeared on it. It was quite a list. She made sure she had that list, and then spent the first half of the lesson practicing her spells, and the other half revising the theory, making the best use of the time.
