Now that it was summer, and Abbey didn't care what people thought about her scars, the young Slytherin decided that she was going to go swimming. She had already been outside and had seen that the weather was lovely so she changed into her black halter bikini, and pulled on a light blue t shirt, some loose shorts and some trainers. Usually after or before a swim, Abbey jogged. Today she decided that she was craving a swim more then a run, so she made her way over to the lake happily.

When she reached the water front, she beamed brightly, and her violet eyes danced. Abbey pulled her long brown hair up into a high pony tail. She looked around her, wondering if anyone would join her for a swim. She shrugged, after five minutes of hopeful waiting she saw no one, and slipped off her t-shirt, kicked off her shoes, socks and shorts.

Abbey then dove into the water, it was the one place she felt safe from the man from the orphanage or even Hadan. She surfaced, and took a deep breath, letting the cool water flow through her. She looked up at the gentle sun, the rays shining into her eyes, and onto her skin. Every bad thing, thought, emotion could be forgotten on a day like today.

Nia lay stretched out over her bed. Everyone had been revising, yet she had to go to any classes, so decided against revising, whatever she knew would be enough to get her by, or at least she hoped.

Lifting her head from her favorite fashion magazine she saw the sun filling the room. Sighing she lifted herself up and saw the lovely day it was outside. Far ahead she could she the sun shining off the lake, it looked very appealing. Quickly looking though her clothes she found her black swimsuit. She quickly changed into it and put a pair of shorts, loose t-shirt and trainers over it and grabbing a towel, made her way down to the lake.

She was surprised to see the lake wasn't crowded with people, it was such a lovely day, and you couldn't revise all the time. As she got closer to the lake she saw a lone body floating about. She didn't recognise who it was, until she got closer to the lakefront. "Hey Abbey." She called out, seeing her fellow roommate, "Room for one more?" She asked, sitting down on the grass, untying her shoes.

"Hey Abbey... Room for one more?"

Abbey turned her head towards the person that had said her name and spoke to her, and smiled brightly when she saw that it was Nia. "Hey Nia," she beamed, before rubbing her violet eyes. "Yeah of course," she answered happily. She was glad that someone had joined her. "Lovely day," she said nicely, smiling at Nia, before she turned her head back ntowards the sky.

Nia returned a beaming smile at Abbey as she pulled of her t-shirt and shorts and jumped into the water. She quickly swam over to her and joined her, gazing up into the sky, "It is a lovely day. I don't know why more people aren't out. Is everyone that serious about exams?" She asked with a laugh.

Abbey scratched the back of her neck softly and said, "Guess so, to be honest I don't really care what my marks are." She blushed with embarasment and asked softly, "Are you ready for yours?" She found herself sinking slightly deeper in to the water, but made sure that her eyes, nose and ears were still above the lovely water.

Abbey wondered if they had the same rumour here if there were any mermaids or mer-creatures, which would be highly amusing considering the unlikeliness of it all. Sure last year at Hogwarts Scotland she had seen a the big squid and a mermaid but she hadn't had her glasses on so she wasn't totally sure if what she saw was in fact what she saw.
