Movie: She'll never admit it, but she loves "Pride & Prejudice" with Kiera Knightley.
Music: She likes instrumentals the best, but again it all depends on her mood. Sometimes she'll be jamming to emo rock, other times nineties classics, etc. etc.
Personality:
-Sapphire is a rather thoughtless person. As in, she doesn't think anything through. She just acts. If her interest is sparked, she has to know or do. If she's not being deliberately careful, she'll say whatever she's thinking.
-Temperamental.
-Loyal to a fault. Now, winning her loyalty is hard, but it's also hard to lose.
-Protective. It's a surprising trait if you don't know her, as she seems like she doesn't care.
-Sapphire can seem cold. Most of the time she's uninterested in the people and things around her. But that is because she's usually focused on something or the other, and that makes her oblivious.
-Mischievious/Clever. Sapphire became very good at distracting adults and bullies at a young age. Finding the best places to hide came shortly after, as did her quick reflexes and fighting skills.
-She cares about, well, everything, way more than she lets on.
- Sapphire has a strong desire to get out and see the world.
- She is self-reliant, and has learned to adapt quickly.
Other
-She lived in a small orphanage on the outskirts of Arrowtown in New Zealand.
- She's been adopted by her uncle James and lived with him and her brothers Onyx and Jordan in New Zealand. She quickly turned her room into a safe haven.
-She used to have an insufferable sweet tooth and keeps a stash of suckers and bubblegum that she kept stocked by running errands for the local grocer.
- As she's grown, her sweet tooth has faded. She's taken to chewing mint gum, as she likes the refreshing feeling it leaves in her mouth.
-Sapph has a secret weakness for long, flowing dresses. She keeps several hidden in the back of her closet.
-Sapph is a horrible cuddler. She loves affection but hates to admit it.
- Sapph has quickly attached herself to her Uncle James, though she has no idea how to show affection and has distanced herself from him for fear of his changing his mind.
-Sapphire was unsure of her uncle's partner at first, but found she enjoys Colin's calmer, intellectual personality. She thinks he's good for her uncle and enjoys his company.
-Sapphire was both sad and relieved to have graduated from school, both missing the team and the home she built there while also eager to start life on her own.
-Sapphire travels the world as a photographer, often spending weeks or even months alone in the wild as she photographs magical creatures in their natural habitats, taking careful note of their behaviors and patterns, and sells her findings to Magizooligists.
-Sapphire has twin children, Diamond and Jett, who she'll leave once or twice a year for extended periods with family when her work takes her out into the wild again, but she'll never take more than a month or so at a time.
-Sapphire has agreed to be a surrogate for her brother and his husband, but plans to never have children again after she's finished with the pregnancy.
Interests
- Sapphire has a minor interest in music and loves to play the guitar. She finds it a good way to help express herself as she struggles with her words.
- Sapphire holds a minor interest in Quidditch since she was a Beater and co-captain for the Slytherin house team. She used it as a more positive outlet for the fighting skills she acquired living at the orphanage.
- Sapphire has a mild interest in prank items and pranks, as they spark her mischievous tendencies and are (usually) not harmful.
- Sapphire has discovered an intense interest in magical creatures at 11 and had been developing her skills in Photography, hoping to follow her uncle's footsteps and make a career out of it.
Wand
Pear wood, Unicorn Hair core, 14 inches, Slightly Springy Flexibility.
Family
Sapphire went from being intimidated by the size of her family to being slightly bemused by the chaotic Irish group. She and Amaya don't speak much, aside from the witty quips they throw at each other in passing. As for Jasper, he seems to be more interested in what Onyx is doing. So if Onyx is being a nuisance, you can be sure Jasper isn't too far behind. Her eldest cousin has her admiration, being calm and mature Ember easily won Sapphire's respect. Her uncle James holds her heart, though she would never admit it. She would die for anyone in her family, her uncle especially, and has grown to admire the man in his life. She looks up to Colin, respecting his intelligence, and composed demeanor. She's still reeling from the fact that her aunt Myra is the woman who runs the orphanage, and also the one who told the rest of their family she had died in infancy. Sapphire has been hurt deeply by this information, as Myra spent 13 years emotionally and verbally abusing Sapphire. She's slow to trust that the life she has now isn't too good to be true. This belief was only intensified by her aunt's attack on her, which Onyx saved her from. Sapphire blames herself for Onyx's injury and the resulting complications. She loves her twin dearly and missed having him close for their final year of school.
After school ended, Sapphire fell into an easy routine. When she wasn't out on trips, she was either fighting or sort of dating Frankie. Eventually, one of their fights (and sort of break ups) led her to an impulsive night in bed with her brothers ex, Chrysander Caster, who had come to apologize for his behaviour when they were younger. Sapphire found out not long after that she was pregnant.
Chrys isn't really involved with the kids, but she doesn't mind, and is rocking life as a single mom. Recently, Onyx and his husband Jamie approached Sapphire and asked her to be a surrogate. She agreed without a second thought; Onyx had almost lost his life protecting hers. It seems like a small favor in turn. She loves her brother with all her heart, and would do anything for him, should he ask.
Childhood Friends
Jacob Kingsley: Sapphire and Jacob met in their first year when Sapphire ran into him in the courtyard- literally. The two soon fell into an easy friendship, though it wasn't until much later on that Sapphire would consider them such. She is fairly protective of Jacob, though she doubts he knows it. Jacob has managed to win Sapphire's loyalty, despite the falling out he had with her twin after a disastrous fling between the two.
Diana Holland: Sapphire and Diana have had their ups and downs, but the two have always been friends, possibly one of the few people Sapphire is really close too. Diana doesn't care for any of Sapphire's other friends, but Sapphire doesn't expect all of her friends to like each other. Sapphire misses having the other girl nearby, having enjoyed the seven years they spent as roommates.
Kira Wolf: Perhaps Sapphire's best friend, Kira has won the Slytherin's unwavering devotion and loyalty. Sapphire would do anything the Ravenclaw asked. They tended to spend the holidays together at Kira's inn, though when at school Kira spends much of her time in the library. Sapphire is secretly touched by the Ravenclaw's support, and firmly believes she wouldn't have been any good as a beater if Kira hadn't there to cheer her on at games. Kira is one of the few people Sapphire has opened up to and tends to turn to Kira first if she has a problem.
Mervyn Strangeways: Sapphire's relationship with Mervyn was ever-changing. The two met when Mervyn was pranked by another Slytherin and Sapphire ended up taking him to the hospital wing. She was confused by her fascination with the boy, and after several mishaps, the two settled in an easy friendship. She was originally content to ignore her crush on the boy, but due to her brother's incessant meddling, was forced to admit to Mervyn that she cared for him. The two began dating and agreed that Onyx didn't need to know. The more time the two spent together, the more she was confused by her growing feelings for the boy. She'd been scared of what could happen, worried that she'd mess everything up and lose him completely. That fear intensified when she realized she'd fallen in love with him. She'd decided to tell him once they returned to school for their fourth year, but was blindsided when he broke up with her. They've returned to an easy friendship for the time being, and she enjoys his company, though they've drifted since he left school.
Avaria Lockwood: Avaria didn't give Sapphire much of a choice in their friendship. Having stayed for a little while at the Home where Sapphire lived, Ava became devoted to the Slytherin when Sapphire stepped in and protected Ava from bullies. Sapphire and Ava hit it off after that, with Ava helping spike Sapphire's interest in music. When Ava left the Home, Sapphire never expected to see the blond again. But when Ava found her at Hogwarts, she couldn't seem to shake the bubbly Ravenclaw. Sapphire has accepted that Ava won't leave her be and has taken the girl under her wing.
Zennon Barros: Zennon is one of Sapphire's closest friends, and one of the few people in her life to have her complete trust. She would do anything he asked of her, and would die for him in an instant. She has forever changed his name to Zenny-boo and nothing he says can change her mind.
Leda Layton: Sapphire absolutely adores Leda, and finds her to be the most amazing woman she's ever known, followed closely by Odette. Sapphire really misses having her as captain, and at the school. Not that she would admit to it, of course.
Mordred Cavanaugh: Sapphire has grown surprisingly close to the younger Slytherin, seeing him as a younger brother. She would defend him with everything she had. She adores him and takes solace in their easygoing relationship.
Chrysander Kaster: Sapphire was slow to trust Chrys, but eventually came to accept his presence in her brothers' life. He had an easy charm and rapport that drew her to him, and she had grown to see him as her brother. She trusted him, and she cherished their friendship- even telling him things no one else in her life knew. When he and Onyx broke up, she expected a bit of tension, but when he turned on her, as well, it destroyed her trust in him completely. She felt devastated and has done her best to support her brother. She refuses to show how deeply Chrys hurt her, manifesting her pain in an intense anger. She hates him, absolutely loathes that he could turn on them both so quickly. At the same time, she has a weak spot for the Hufflepuff, and after several tense encounters, the two actually stopped and talked for a good while. For a while she remained wary of him and hates how things ended between him and her brother, but despite it all she can't deny that she does care for the boy. Especially when he came to apologize for how he acted when they were children. Carried by a whim (and his admittedly good looks) she spent the night with him, and consequently he became the father of her twin children. They still talk, and he comes by every so often to see the kids, but he's not a very big factor in her life.
Noelle Maxwell: Sapphire was surprised when the older boy came to her, asking her on a date. Intrigued, she agreed to see what was going on with him. From the beginning, she knew he was just seeking a distraction from his recent heartbreak. She was curious and bored, willing to play along for a bit. She was surprised to find she connected with the boy, and the more time they spent together the more she grew to care for him. She knows now whatever they have, it's over. Sapphire was never one to be shared or one to share. As long as he's in love with someone else, she's not interested in playing his games. It broke her heart to realize that even after everything, he never fought for her. Sapphire has gotten over Noelle, and after a few tense encounters, the two have finally become friends again after he dropped his wounded good boy act. She knows he's in love with Ava, and is very amused by the fact.
Unsure:
Francis Ruis: Sapphire is unsure what she thinks of the boy down the street, unwilling to admit how she's grown to care for him. She still keeps the picture she took of them the day they met with the collage of photos by her bed and finds herself thinking of him more than she would like. They used to write to each other while she was in school, and while she never knows what to expect from their time together, she still found herself seeking it out when she was home. When she graduated, she had hoped for there to be more between them. But when Sapphire approached him, things quickly went sideways. At first, he was very receptive to a date and the idea of more; however, when she mentioned taking him with her to a job interview out of town, a fight broke out and the two parted on bad terms. Since then, they've bounced around in an on and off again relationship. He still holds her heart, though she doesn't bother forcing him to stick around when he decides to throw another tantrum. She's not exactly waiting for him, but she's content in being a single mother while he figures out his life.
School Life
House: Slytherin
Clubs: Beater/Co-captain for the Quidditch Team
Favorite Class: Care of Magical Creatures
Least Favorite Class: She doesn't have one. She enjoyed all of her classes, though if there's something she didn't enjoy it was studying. Her mind takes her too many places when she tries and it's like taking another class.
Boggart: After an unsurprising Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson, her boggart was, in fact, herself.
Patronus: Lion
What it means: If your Patronus is the lion, you are likely brave, close to those in your inner circle, and extremely protective.
Mirror of Erised: Sapphire wouldn't bother looking, but if she had to, it would be her standing with her brother and her parents, where she and Onyx are both successful and their parents are doting.
Plans for the Future: Sapphire has decided (with a bit of guidance from her Ravenclaw) that she wants to go into Magizooligy. Animals fascinate her, especially the magical kind. She also wants to travel and see the world and has discovered a bit of a passion for photography.
Hogwarts Hopes and Ambitions: She didn't really have many plans. She tends to live in the moment, aside from when Kira makes her plan for her future. Mostly, she liked to spend time with her friends and practice for Quidditch.
Pets: Stone (Owl), Midnight (Half-Kneazle)
Amortentia: Leather, the smell after it rains, peppermint gum

History:
Sapphire and Onyx were born to Jackson and Sarah Michaels two days before Christmas. For nearly a year they were happy together with their parents, never apart. However, their parents met their end in an unfortunate accident, and the twins were forced apart. As Jayce and Emily already had one baby and another on the way, Onyx was sent to James and Sapphire to the youngest sibling, Myra.
Unfortunately, Myra proved to be an unfit guardian, allowing her grief and anger over her brothers' passing to blind her. Myra promptly disappeared with Sapphire, telling the rest of the family a few months later that Sapphire had died as well. In reality, Myra had taken Sapphire to an orphanage outside of Arrowtown that the woman had been working at and deposited her there.
For the next 13 years, Myra verbally and emotionally abused Sapphire, keeping their relation and Myra's custody a secret, telling the young girl she would never be adopted because she was a curse and that everyone around her would be hurt- or worse- because of her bad luck.
Sapphire received her letter to Hogwarts New Zealand, however, and Myra couldn't stop her from going to school. Her first year was very eventful, as she quickly grew close to several students. Her relationships with Zennon Baros, Diana Holland, and Jacob Kingsley quickly began to flourish, but there was no doubt she was closest to Oliver Foy and Alkander Avaskadiras. It was just before the second semester that her brother found her, and sent her reeling from the sudden discovery.
She was hurt, however, when by her second year both Oliver and Alkander had abruptly disappeared from her life. She hardly had time to focus on it, however, as this was the year her brother transferred to the school, and she struggled with the sudden appearance of Onyx and dealing with the appearance of young Avaria Lockwood.
Her third year brought with it her discovery that the woman who had run the orphanage and had been so cruel was her aunt Myra. James came in quickly to adopt her, and with her a young boy named Jordan Harris, who had lost his family recently and attached himself to Sapphire at the orphanage. When she had refused to leave until he was adopted, her uncle responded by adopting them both. Back at the relative calmness of school, Sapphire joined Quidditch, and grew closer to Mervyn Strangeways, ending up in a relationship him for the majority of that year as she adjusted to life with her family.
Her fourth year started off more eventful as she realized she was in love with Mervyn, only for him to break things off cruelly as she tried to figure out how to admit her feelings. She became a prefect that year, much to her surprise. She met Frankie Ruiz during fourth year, and the two seemed to bond fairly quickly, though they always kept things casual between them.
Her fifth year brought out Chrysander Kaster, Onyx's new beaux. Sapphire was slow to trust the pretty Hufflepuff, but it wasn't long before he had become part of the family.
Her sixth year was tumultuous, as Onyx and Chrysander broke up after Onyx discovered Chrys had been cheating on him for nearly the entire time they were together. She did her best to support her brother and was furious when Chrysander turned on the entire family as if the entire situation hadn't been completely his own fault. Her brother was devastated, and he had just barely started to move on and start healing when Aunt Myra attacked at the end of the sixth year, perhaps a week or so into the holiday break between years. The attack itself had been directed at Sapphire, but Onyx pushed her out of the way. She was knocked unconscious, and when she awoke she was in the hospital. She was horrified to find her brother had lost all memory as a result of the injuries he'd obtained when he saved her life.
Seventh year was very bittersweet for Sapphire. She was made co-captian of the Quidditch team with Blake Irons. Her brother wasn't at school, having been forced to stay home due to his condition. She spent the year worrying about him. She mended bridges just a bit with Chrysander and grew closer to her teammate Mordred Cavanaugh. Graduation came all too quickly, and although her brother had come, she couldn't help but be saddened that he wasn't a part of the ceremony with her.
Her life outside of school has quickly turned out to be eventful. Having her hopes of a relationship with Frankie dashed because he was a salty brat, she's taken to traveling for her work, enjoying the little bit of time she spent with Diana. Sapphire has found now that she's out of school she enjoys spending time seeing the world and spending time with beautiful women and the occasional man.
She was worried about the way Onyx rushed into his relationship and engagement with French Quidditch player Jamie Derouin, but after much hesitation, she has come to accept and even like the frenchman in her brothers life. She even grew to see Jamie as another brother, and was pleased to be a part of both their elopement and their wedding ceremony later on- even if she did feel a bit guilty for taking Onyx with her for four months on the life-changing photoshoot that made her career.
Between her odd off and on again relationship with Frankie, Chrysander asked to meet back up and apologized to her for how he acted when they were younger. Trying to make Frankie jealous, and giving in to a silly whim to enjoy the beauty of her old friend, Sapphire spent the night with Chrys. The decision resulted in a pregnancy with twins, and before long she had welcomed Diamond and Jett into the world. Chrys comes by to see the twins every now and then, but he's not overly involved in their life. Sapphire is rocking life as a single mom, content to spend her free time with her kids and her family.
She's currently living in Arrowtown, but often visits her brothers in France and her uncle in Brightstone Village.

Astrological Sign: Capricorn.
Capricorn is a sign that represents time and responsibility. These individuals possess an inner state of independence that enables significant progress both in their personal and professional lives. They are masters of self-control and have the ability to lead the way, and make solid and realistic plans. They will learn from their mistakes and get to the top based solely on their experience and expertise. Belonging to the element of Earth , like Taurus and Virgo, this is the last sign in the trio of practicality and grounding. Not only do they focus on the material world, but they have the ability to use the most out of it. Unfortunately, this element also makes them stiff and sometimes too stubborn to move from one perspective or point in a relationship. They have a hard time accepting differences of other people that are too far from their character. It is not easy to win over the attention and the heart of a Capricorn, but once their walls break and their heart melts they stay committed for a lifetime. Their relationships with other signs can be challenging due to their difficult character, but any shared feeling that comes from such a deep emotional place is a reward for their partner's efforts. Shown sensitivity comes through acts rather than words, and years are often needed for them to open enough to chat about their actual emotional problems. Capricorn is intelligent, stable and reliable, and this makes its representatives loyal and extremely good friends, standing in one's life as pillars on their way to their dreams. They need to be surrounded by people who don't ask too many nosey questions, know where boundaries are set, but also warm, open-hearted and loyal enough to follow their lead. They will not collect too many friends in this lifetime but turn to those who make them feel at peace, intelligent and honest at all times. Capricorns will set high standards for themselves, but their honesty, dedication, and perseverance will lead them to their goals. They value loyalty and hard work over all other things and keep associates with these qualities close even when they might be intellectually inferior. Concentrated and resourceful, this is someone who gets the job done, doesn't mind long hours, and commits to the final product completely. Capricorn women are ambitious, persistent, responsible and reliable. She only wants to find someone to make her smile, and can't wait to open up and feel the real pull of emotion that makes her warm up to the possibilities that lie in the future. It will take some time for her to lower her guard and feel safe and comfortable enough to show just how sensitive and caring she can be when she is in love. She wants her partners responsible, calm, and hard-working, and needs to know that she is taken care of if something bad happens in the future. A Capricorn woman needs to feel comfortable with people she dates and needs time to decide what she wants out of each relationship. Born in a Sun sign that exalts Mars, her instincts and initiative are strong, and this makes her a passionate lover always in charge of her own life no matter the outer circumstances.
House Astrology
(December 22 - January 19)
the Quinotaur (half goat, half mermaid/merman). Cardinal, earth, yin - planetary ruler: Saturn. Keywords: "I USE"
Capricorn is the tenth sign of the zodiac and governs the bones, joints, and knees. Positive traits include pragmatism, maturity, patience, determination, awareness, a strong work ethic, realism, discipline, money management, the willingness to overcome hard luck, leadership, initiative, opportunism, prudence, and cunning. Negative traits include pessimism, melancholy, emotional coldness, manipulation, obsession with work and ambitions to the detriment of personal development, and remoteness.
Slytherin
The traits emphasized here will be ambition, determination, discipline, and pragmatism. You can't make that castle in the sky if you don't build a solid foundation under it, and Capricorns excel at building foundations. (Actually, they excel at planning the foundations and directing others to do the grunt labour. It's not that they're afraid to get their hands dirty, but large work usually requires delegation and a staff, and Capricorns are managers more often than not.) While not flamboyant or showy about it, Capricorns still tend to be obsessive overachievers, a common trait in House Slytherin. Too, wizards born under the sign of Capricorn are good at being discreet, secretive, and diplomatic; whereas the Libra's diplomacy is based on charm and a desire for harmony, the Capricorn's diplomacy is based on the knowledge that being on good terms with people is extremely useful in getting one's way or finding out sensitive information. These also are traits commonly associated with House Slytherin. They might not be sexy traits, but they're very handy.

Wand
Pear wood, Unicorn Hair core, 14 inches, Slightly Springy Flexibility.
Pear Wood: This golden-toned wood produces wands of splendid magical powers, which give of their best in the hands of the warm-hearted, the generous and the wise. Possessors of pear wands are, in my experience, usually popular and well-respected. I do not know of a single instance where a pear wand has been discovered in the possession of a Dark witch or wizard. Pear wands are among the most resilient, and I have often observed that they may still present a remarkable appearance of newness, even after many years of hard use.
Sapphire may not act like it, but she is extremely kind-hearted and giving. If she would only open up more to those around her, and be a bit more trusting of herself, she may find that others would be drawn by her warmth.
Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard.
Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may ‘die’ and need replacing.
Longer wands might suit taller wizards, but they tend to be drawn to bigger personalities, and those of a more spacious and dramatic style of magic. However, no single aspect of wand composition should be considered in isolation of all the others, and the type of wood, the core, and the flexibility may either counterbalance or enhance the attributes of the wand’s length.
Sapphire is rather short for her age, but this is made up for in her snarky attitude and her dramatic tendencies, though she prefers to call it a sense of showmanship.
Wand flexibility or rigidity denotes the degree of adaptability and willingness to change possessed by the wand-and-owner pair - although, again, this factor ought not to be considered separately from the wand wood, core, and length, nor of the owner’s life experience and style of magic, all of which will combine to make the wand in question unique.
Sapphire is usually very set in her way of thinking, though she is surprisingly open to new ways of thought. She'll consider anything logically, and if she decides she was wrong or right will change her mind accordingly.
