Family: Sammael is the only son of Larkana and Ishmael Stark. The marriage was arranged to keep peace between families and preserve bloodlines. Larkana died in childbirth and Ishmael did not want to raise Sammael alone, so he left Sammael with Larkana's older brother Valcan. Sammael was raised by Valcan as a son, although Sammael knows Valcan is in actuality his uncle. The current whereabouts of Ishmael are unknown to Sammael, who has never seen his father.
