It worked for a while, but eventually even boxing was leaving Rose restless. It was on her way home from a lesson that she heard a man busking on the streets. She stood there raptured as he played song after song, his fingers nimble on the strings of the guitar.
After who knew how long, Rose ran home, and immediately began to beg her parents for a guitar of her own. After several months of pleading and being on her best behaviour- her resolve tested thoroughly by her brother- they relented and finally signed her up for guitar lessons, gifting her her very own guitar for her birthday.
Despite her rough exterior, Rose was a very loving, firecely protective person, and looked after her older siblings as best as she could manage, being the youngest.
