Dannii was trying to decide weather or not to go to Brightstone this weekend. On one hand it could be fun, on the other she did have allot of homework to catch up on. Dannii was thinking this over in the common room when some first year walked by with some weird looking shoes slung over her shoulder. "Hey kid, whats that?" She asked pointing at the shoes with... Wheels on them? That was really odd, probably some muggle thing. Dannii listened with growing interest as the first year explained that the shoes were rollerblades and that people went skating on them. Dannii pointed out that there was no ice anymore and the girl laughed. Apparently you could skate on hard surfaces with these. "Thats cool!" Dannii exclaimed. The younger girl offered Dannii a pair that her older sister never used any more and Dannii of course said yeah. Dannii thanked the girl a few times insisting that she didn't need to be taught how to use them. How hard could it be?
Dannii was on the ground strapping on the elbow and knee pads the first year made her promise to use. Honestly were they really necessary? They were really itchy! At least the helmet looked cool. Dannii made her her roller blades were on tight enough before trying to stand up. Dannii was almost standing up straight when she slipped and ended up flat on her back. "Ouch" she said bringing up her hand to cover her eyes from the sun. Maybe this wasn't as easy as it seemed. Dannii was determined to learn how though, she just had to. Dannii got on her knees and crawled over to a building to give her self some support. Clutching onto the side of the building for dear life Dannii managed to stand up, "Okay you can do this!" she told herself letting go of the wall. Dannii tried sliding one foot forward just like ice skating but it didn't work out that way and Dannii ended up with her legs almost doing the splits. "Oh dear lord!" she said trying to get herself upright. Dannii had never been the most flexible person and the position she was in was painful.
