Rodrigo is a really clever/smart boy who loves to help people. He is very sociable and is also very friendly. He usually has a good self-esteem, but around people he cares and whose opinion he values, criticism and jokes hit him harder than they should. Otherwise he just usually ignores them. He lacks some patience, unfortunately. Adding to that, despite his cleverness/smartness his brain is mostly logical, so he also lacks a bit of emotional-driven cleverness.

Rodrigo is a Portuguese kid (with a Portuguese name) and he lived there until he was 10 years old. While there, he visited Spain, Madeira and Azores. When he found out he was a wizard, his parents searched for wizarding schools and found this one. Rodrigo then moved to New Zealand because of Hogwarts. 
His parents are both Portuguese and Rodrigo really loves them. His mother, Sara, and his father, João. Sara taught Rodrigo how to be a Person, with capital P, while his father told him how to be a gentleman and how to relate with people.

Rodrigo really LOVES to read. When he found out he was going to Hogwarts and that he was a wizard, he almost literally swallowed dozens of books about all of that. 
At school, some <s></s>not-so-clever<e></e> boys made fun of Rodrigo because, to them, he spent all day studying... Which was really far away from the truth. He didn't study at all. 
 
<s></s><COLOR color="mediumblue"><s></s><s></s>About the Wizarding World/Hogwarts (expectations, other facts):<e></e><e></e></COLOR><e></e> 
Rodrigo read about the Houses and concluded he would like to be in Ravenclaw. He thinks his intellect fits the general idea of Ravenclaw having some of the smartest students, and was mainly impressed by the fact that their common room doesn't have a password, but an ever-changing riddle. 
Since Rodrigo's mother tongue is Latin-derived, he knows he is not going to have a hard time memorizing the spells. Casting them is another thing... Rodrigo doesn't know how that is going to turn out to be. 
Once more, thanks to his massive pre-Hogwarts reading, he found out about Quidditch. He hopes to be able to enter his House's team, as a Keeper. No other position pleases him as much as the Keeper's.
