When meeting new people, Riley is often shy and can take some time to warm up to them, but once he knows them or has a common topic to converse about however, he can be very outgoing even getting excited to talk. He is very competitive, not always in a mean way, but it's just the way he is. Always eager to play a game of wizard's chess, gobstones or exploding snap, or enter a contest; this is when he truly comes alive. When he is competing it is obvious he enjoys it. Riley also likes Quidditch and supports the Woolongong Warriors though he doesn't play himself due to the fact that his parents are a bit too protective of him, however he, is allowed to play when he will reach the age of thirteen. Ironically despite being so competitive, he also has a procrastination streak. Automatically making him the younger sibling in the family which is something that has been bothering him for as long as he can remember, especially since his twin sister keeps reminding him that she is one minute older than him. His childhood went pretty smoothly in Port Elizabeth, Riley had alot of friends while attending a primary school and was always liked for his goofiness and skill in certain sports like soccer and basketball. Unlike his twin sister, Riley has always been the more serious one between the two of them given that he was less rebellious than she was. Despite of the many differences and the - occasionally - fights between Riley and Elizabeth, the younger Wespurt loves his sister very much and would always be standing besides her whenever she needs him to be. A year before they turned eleven, their parents decided to move to New Zealand because it'd be closer to the school the twins would attend to once they turned eleven years old.
