Rhyspa rushed up the staircase, trying her hardest not to trip and fall up the stairs. Chaos was right behind her, his black hair standing out against the wood. She didn't know why she was in such a hurry, her homework pile was little today. Rhyspa reached the common room and quickly uttered the password. The portrait flew open and Rhyspa and her faithful companion walked through the door and into the common room. The fire was blazing in the hearth and emitted a soft glow through out the room.
Rhyspa spotted an empty armchair by the fire and headed towards it. Students seated in other chairs, tables, and sofa's chatted idly as the night wore on. She pulled out one of the books her mother sent her and opened it to her last spot. Rhyspa's eyes darted across each page, taking in the story. It was one of her favorites, one she knew very well. Studious girl, dangerous boy, disastrous love triangle, the norm. She sighed as the chapter ended and closed the book. Chaos jumped into her lap and Rhyspa scratched behind his ears.
"You are such a lovable cat," Rhyspa said softly. Chaos purred with happiness and licked Rhyspa's hand. She smiled and scratched his ear again.
