( Posting as Ellie )
Ellie was wandering around Brightstone Village, carrier bags in her hands. She had been shopping the whole afternoon. She now had new clothes as well as treats for Tiggles and a book she needed for Ancient Runes. Feeling like her legs might collapse under her, Ellie headed over to a bench outside the pet shop. Sitting her bags at her feet, she tucked a long brown curl behind her ear and smoothed down her blue tank top and shorts. The sun was shining bright and it was the warmest it had been for months in New Zealand. Ellie badly wanted to go swimming, and was already planning to visit the lake once she had returned to Hogwarts. Watching people pass by, she began to sing an old muggle song by a band her dad had an obsession with, Oasis. Ellie had grown up hearing there music and now knew nearly every one of their songs off by heart. "And after all, you're my wonderwall" she sang, her brown eyes sparkling, a cheery smile spread across her face. Singing that song made her think of her dad. She had been ignoring all his letters, she felt like he didn't deserve to hear from her after what he had done. She had lost nearly everyone in her life, now she felt like her dad was one of them. He might as well be. Deciding it was too nice a day to get annoyed, Ellie pulled her legs up onto the bench and folded them, staring at her new white trainers. Starting to sing again she looked up at the sun and pretended to play air guitar. She hadn't played her real Guitar in ages and made a mental note to dig it out from the back of her wardrobe. The air guitar thing got many strange looks from passers by, but Ellie didn't care. She didn't care about many things anymore.
