Willow Paradox, though she didn’t have a great many friends at Hogwarts, had many friends in different part of the globe. This came from the fact that there where times that Aunt Pen thought it best to drag Willow along when she was out of school. In Willow’s opinion she didn’t need to go where her aunt went because the people after her had nothing to do with her. Though she hated the prospect of going anywhere with her aunt Willow had to admit that she did like seeing new places.

She had gotten a message from a friend in Salem that another good friend had been transferred over to Beaubaxtons and Willow thought that it would be a good time to drop her friend a line. Since there was no such thing as IM inside Hogwarts wall she went with the next best thing, an owl. She summoned over Apollo who had been the only thing to survive the incident now several years old. The bird was also a good friend to her and seemed to be happy to finally have some more action.

Hey Bastian,

The word from Salem is that you’re a Beau Boy now, I feel for ya really. I joke, I joke really I hope that your making good friends over at your new school. Things at HNZ are about the same as always. Drama, tears, blah. I did meet a cool girl the other day though. Her name is Alexandra and she is twisted. A bit too twisted for a Gryffindor like myself. What am I saying? Twisted is my middle name. Anyway hope you’re good and write back soon I want to know what the French are like! Hope to hear from you soon.

Sebastian was surprised when an owl came up to him during breakfast and dropped a letter on his plate. With a curious expression on his face, Sebastian turned the letter over and saw his name on the front. Opening it up, he glanced quickly at the signature, wondering who would be writing to him. When he saw whose name was on the bottom, a grin appeared quickly on his face.

Going back up to the top of the page, Sebastian began to read. When he was done, he left for class because he couldn't afford to miss again. As soon as the lesson was done, he ran up to his room for parchment and then to the owlery to send her a letter back.
Willow,

Who told you? Was it Jared? He has such a big mouth. Yea, it's true. I moved to France to live with my dad's mother. I still haven't met him, but whatever. At least my grandmother is cool. She even let me get my eyebrow pierced and it looks wicked.

The classes are...classes. I don't know what else to say about them. I met one cool girl, her name's Trilby and she's a prefect! Can you believe it? Me...hanging with a prefect. Trilby's really cool tho' especially when she's not being all serious. Everyone else is meh...most of the people think they're all great because they're all French or whatever. I don't get it.

Yea, Alexandra probably has to worry more about you than you do about her. Ha ha! So, are you still going to that New Zealand school? We should meet up one day...let me know when they let you loose from the castle and I'll be there.

Bastian

Willow had gotten back into the habit of sleeping more often than she was wake. It had been a while before the nightmares went away but when they did the Common room couches where her new best friends. The bad part about it was that the new curl in her longer hair made it difficult to look right after just waking up.

Willow had been thinking about napping during breakfast when the letter came back from her new personal Beau Boy. She grinned, all thoughts of sleep wiped away.

Unbelieveable Bastien,

You grandmother sounds like a nice lady. Then again anyone sounds nicer or better on the ears then Aunt Pen. I hear France itself is nice. Never been there if you can believe that. I have been to Germany though. That's something for when we meet up though. Yeah it was Jared who sent me the heads up. Miss his black ass (if it's still black I did apologise didn't I?)

Prefect? you? Did you lie and tell her you where a good boy? Again I kid. She sounds cool though I think sometimes rebelion has gone by the wayside. I mean two goodies where by the names of Annamarie and Trisha (I call her that, It's better than Patty.) Anyway they're cool but compleatly by the rules.

Hey! My wand hasn't 'accedently' fired in ages so she doesn't have much to worry about. I would worry about you in the middle of all those snobbs. If there are any there. If you can give Beau the slip a week from now we have a Brightstone weekend and we can check out the music store or something.

Missing Salem and write back soon

Sebastian had been having a terrible couple of days. Something was wrong with Trilby and he didn't know exactly what it was because every time he tried to get her to talk, she left the room or changed the subject. Trying to figure out a new way to get her to talk, Sebastian decided to go for a walk on the grounds even though it was freezing out and there was nearly a foot of snow on the ground. As he walked an owl flew over to him and Sebastian grinned and eagerly opened the letter.
Willow,

I'll have to have a word with Jared next time I see him...I wonder how many other people he told.

You haven't been to France? Really? I thought you've been everywhere with that aunt of yours.

And...no I didn't lie to Tril. I may have forgotten to mention what a troublemaker I am, though she has caught me after curfew a couple of times, so I guess she knows by now. It's good to have friends in power.

Yea, I nearly got into it the other day with this seventh year who thought it was her job to remind me about curfew. She actually had the nerve to interrupt me when I was practicing my guitar in an empty classroom. Can you believe that?

Giving Beau the slip has become my new hobby. Ha Ha! Do you mean at the Makutu Mall? I meant to check out the music store last time I was there, but then I got sidetracked.

See ya in a week!

Willow got the letter back at breakfast but didn’t get to read it until well after lunch. She had gotten into an argument with one of the teachers about the approved thing to say to someone when they had just insulted her. Willow had chosen a few choice curse words to shout at her and in Willow’s opinion that was being polite. In any other case she would have chosen a few curses that would come out of the end of her wand and then some. Still Willow had to deal with the teacher and detention that afternoon. While sitting with one foot up on the edge of a desk Willow took out the letter and started to read, when she was done she got out a page and started to write. It must have seemed she was doing work but the teachers knew her too well to expect that much.
Bastian,

As long as that talk ends with Jared in pieces we can put back together again I don’t think anyone would mind. I joke but really the guy does have a mouth the size of Hogwarts. Which reminds me I keep seeing this guy in class that seems to have the last name Rossi is he in any way shape or form related to you? Either which way Abbey seems to have a thing for him I can’t prove it though because I’ve only seen it not heard it.

True it’s not a lie unless it comes out of your mouth. I wish I had that kind of pull around this place. Teachers suck ass. I’m writing this while in detention which this time was not all that bad. All I have to do is sit here and look at the chalkboard. Usually I would have had dungeon duty which if you’ve never had it you would not get how disgusting that is. I have managed to nick some potions goods though.

Hope things are good on that end when this gets to you and I can’t wait. I can give Hoggies the slip but it comes at the price of having to be really flexible. I have the ability to do it but I don’t have to will. Never do for things that take too much effort. You know how it is. Anyway I’ll see you at the mall. As soon as I wrote that I got that veela girl’s voice in my head. Yuck. Write back when you can and ‘stay out of trouble’ as Trisha would say.

Sebastian had received Willow's letter at breakfast, but hadn't gotten around to reading it until after he finished his Herbology quiz. Waiting for the rest of his classmates to finish their exams, Sebastian pulled out her letter and began to read while trying his best not to break out into laughter and ruin everyone's concentration.

When class was over, Sebastian headed upstairs to the library, which was always warm, so that he could thaw out from the freezing cold and scrawl a quick note to his friend.
Hey Paradox,

I think I can manage to make that happen for Jared. We'll see tho'. I'll have to ask my gran about that Rossi kid. She hasn't answered any of the questions I've asked her about my dad, so I'm not sure she'll answer this one. Everytime I ask about him, she pretends to be hard of hearing. I know the woman has ears like an eagle tho' because last time I tried to sneak out, she hit me with a petrificus totalus before I even got my window open. It'd be kind of cool if I had a brother or cousin my age.

Try your best to not get detention again until after we meet up at the mall. It would suck to get there and not be able to meet up. I've been on my best behavior this week. It's like I've got a frickin halo on over my head! And I'm looking forward to a break from all this snow. It'll be great to enjoy the sun and warmth of New Zealand...speaking of, I need to start looking for some floo powder. I can't wait til we learn to apparate. It's a b*tch not being able to.

See ya soon,
Bastian

Willow had a manga over her face but was sleeping again. She had been reading the graphic novel at one point but now it was protecting her face from the sun. It was here that the owl found her because she had not felt like taking breakfast. It was brake for Gryffedor anyway. Well brake for her. She hadn’t been in Arithmancy in she could not remember how long. She doubted that the teacher even knew her name. It wasn’t for nothing though. Willow hated math. Why she had chosen to take that class she didn’t know but she had developed the skill of skipping it when the time came to do so and not get caught. She read over the letter from Bastian and rolled her eyes. It took her a bit to brake back into the school without the house ghosts seeing her but she got to Gryffendor tower well enough.

Bastian,

You do that. It better than hearing a longest stream of curse words you could ever imagine. That’s what I used to get whenever I asked my mother about my father. I miss her even if we did used to fight sometimes. There where times when things where still fresh that I would expect her to wake me up because I overslept and needed to get to the train before it left me. That’s gone now you know how things like that get.

I will try but then I took an elective class that I have no use for and can’t get out of for some strange reason. Something about not having enough electives to drop one. Not that I haven’t fixed it on my own but I would have just liked to save myself the effort. Like always. Your route is better though I hope you don’t turn boring on us because of this week. Do you hear from others from Salem? Write back soon. Four days to Brightstone!

- Paradox

Things had been strange for the past few days and Sebastian was grateful when he saw Willow's letter arriving with the rest of the morning post. Opening it up without even bothering to finish his toast, Sebastian scanned the words quickly and jogged back to his dorm room to write her a letter back.
Paradox,

I've put it on my to-do list. I'll keep asking her until she either gets so annoyed she gives me an answer or curses me. If you don't hear from me this summer, you'll know what happened.

Electives blow...and I can't get rid of any until next year because here at Beauxbatons, we don't take our tests until next year. You can't see me, but I am shaking my head right now.

Do you? The only one I speak to is Jared, but that may change after he gets my next message. I guess we'll see though. Oh, and by the way, I will NEVER be boring. Remind me when I see you that I have something to talk to you about. Things have been wierd here, though I'll tell you more when I see you. I need an honest opinion and I know I always get that from you.

See ya in 2!!

Bastian

Willow had just been released from the Hospital Wing. The girl that she had a fight with (whom by now she knew to be named Eden) had done a bit of damage to her jaw but nothing more. Her robe had been more hurt from the blades that Eden had been packing. Willow had been healed and was now waiting to hear what her sentence was. She saw the letter sitting on her pillow when she got back to the Gyffendor girl’s dorms and Willow smiled to herself. She read it twice before feeling up to sending a reply.
Bastian,

Hey sounds like you’re going to have a fun summer. Well winter over on this end. Swear the weather if fricken’ weird here. Anyway hope you come out it ok I mean you know that there are some of us that would go after some blood if you got hurt. I know I would. Speaking of blood you know that promise that I made you…

Well you know how I hate being woken up by another person so I was sleeping in a tree during break when this totally full of herself Slytherin came and pulled me out of the tree. I was so mad that I tried to hit her but the girl had some skills and backed up. Then she started talking hella mess to the point where I had to tell her to shut her mouth and just do something already. We did end up fighting though the girl let some freaky sort of magic that was not meant for her year. Did I tell you she was younger than me? Anyway the fight got stopped before I got a chance to make her eat dirt. Maybe it was for the best.

I forgot about fifth year. Next year is going to suck so much ass! I have the holiday to look forward to which if I’m lucky I maybe poking around your neck of the woods. You know you can tell me anything Bass that’s what I’m here for. Me and the others from Salem. I don’t keep in contact with them but I do keep in contact with some of the people I’ve met while being dragged all over the place. Merlin Bless Friday and see you soon one way or another.

It had been a while since Sebastian had written to his friend, Willow, partly because he had been denied the privilege of sending any mail out of the castle and partly because he wouldn't have known what to write to her anyway. Now that he was allowed to send letters, Sebastian knew he had to send one but he sat in his room with his quill ready not knowing what to write.
Hey Paradox,

Guess What? When I got back to France, they were waiting for me. It wasn't ENTIRELY my fault that I was late though. I ran into Demeter Dallamoor, remember her? We talked for a few minutes and then she tried kissing me, so that was the end of that conversation. Her brother would kill me if he found out I'd kissed her again. So, that's really why I was late even though we both know I shouldn't have been in New Zealand anyway.

My gran and the headmistress ended up agreeing that I should clean the entrance hall every weekend until school ends. Fun, right? So, while everyone gets to enjoy the nice weather, I'm stuck inside scrubbing floors with NO magic! And they took away my owl priviledges. Any owls I tried to send were intercepted unless they were to my Gran. I've finally gotten those priviledges back but I still have to clean the hall.

This part of the letter was easy, but the next part which was the real reason why he was writing was even more difficult. He desperately wanted to talk to Trilby about it all, but they hadn't really spoken in a while. He wasn't sure if she was avoiding him, but it had all left him feeling more confused than he had ever been in his life. Since Willow had helped him before, he hoped she would could tell him something to fix up the screwed up situation he was in. The problem was that he didn't really want to talk about it though.
Remember Do you So, I took your advice about Trilby and things ended up getting a little out of hand. I think I really screwed things up and I don't know how to fix it. I'm not even sure they can be fixed.

Wish you were here,

Sebastian

P.S. Sorry this letter is all about me...This whole situation is really screwing with my head. How have you been? Hopefully, you didn't get caught for sneaking out.

Sebastian sighed, knowing that there was little help he could probably expect considering he had hardly explained anything. It was the best he wanted to do. He sealed the letter and went up to the owlery to send it to his friend. After it was sent, Sebastian placed his hands in his pocket and left the room to wander the halls alone.

Willow had actually been in the owlry when Sebastian's letter came in. Willow was not all that different but there where times when she stopped and daydreamed. The owlry seeing as there was never really anyone up here was a good place to be when she felt like doing this. The day she had spent with Corvus was still playing over and over in her head. She snatched the owl out of the air seeing as Laughing Apollo was already out on an assignment she kept it. Going back to her room she wrote back.
Bass,

That blows like you would not believe. It's nearing winter here so people are covering up more. You have to be joking! Demi tried to kiss you? I know that boy would have kicked upon your happy ass if that happened again from what I remember. Then I would have had to go out and kick upon someone else's happy ass. Setting that aside.

I would say sneak in some magic just to make things a little easier on yourself but I think they would take your wand from you before letting on the great hall. Again that sucks so much. Anyway the year is almost over so try and bare it as much as you can and I will see you this summer. Don't crack on me now.

Exactly how did you f*uck up with Trib? I mean it couldn't have been that bad and I kinda have to know what happened before I can say what you can do if I can even do that. I mean from your other letters it sounded like you two where getting pretty tight in the first place. Believe me is I know anything its that it takes a lot for a sitch to be unfixable. Write back soon and I think you would fit in more here than I would ever there

- Paradox

P.S: I know that we are supposed to be focusing you Trib and you but I have to tell someone before I explode. I have a boyfriend, his name is Corvus... Well the rest I think can be said in person.

Sebastian had been spending a bunch of time alone with his guitar in his room. He still wasn't allowed to set foot out of the castle, which was driving him insane, so he had found himself a spot by the highest tower. Sitting in the windowsill, Bas watched as an owl soared toward him and dropped a letter on his lap before heading toward the owlery.

He opened it and read it. After, he reached into his bag to pull out a spare piece of parchment and his quill. It took him forever to think of a response.
Paradox!

Are you serious?! A boyfriend? You? I've got to meet this Corvus guy. When the hell did that happen? Eh, I guess I'll hear it all when I see you.

I think it'll be easier to explain what happened with me and Tril in person. Hopefully, things will be better by then. I'm crossing my fingers anyway. I mean things can't get much worse...she's already not talking to me.

By the way, I asked my gran if you could come by for a week or two and she said yes. I think she knows how much I'm suffering now being stuck in the castle. So, I'll see you then.

Bas

P.S. Sorry it's so short. I'm too lazy to run back down to my room to get more parchment.

On his way back to his room, Sebastian stopped by the owlery to send Willow's letter. It was one of his shortest yet, but he knew they'd be seeing each other soon. He couldn't wait to be done with school as things had gone back to how they had been during his first few weeks of school when he didn't have anyone to talk to.

Willow was having an easier time. Though the school seemed to still be full of melodrama Willow herself was keeping out of it. Her run-ins with teachers where more about her lack of drive. There was little to push Willow at the moment though unless you count the thought of the holidays. Corvus was on her mind and she was wondering if his parents would let him go to France with her to meet Sebastian. She knew that not all children had Willow’s rule free life style so they had to ask. She was napping in a tree again, even though it had gotten her in a fight the last time, when she got her letter.
Bastian,

I know right? Me with a guy and I’m not trying to get him under the heel of my size nine. Unlike certain boys in Salem who could not take defeat lying down. I’m thinking of asking him if he wants to come with me to France so he could meet you and maybe hang out with a few people over there. It’s not like we would get in a whole lot of trouble. Then again we are talking about you, me and France almost on our own.

You know this is starting to make me think I have to find a way out to Beau and start removing a few teeth. What in this natural world did you do to make Trib stop talking to you? From what you told me she seemed like a pretty easy going girl. We will need to get together sooner rather than later.

Now for the good news. Just give me the name or address of your house and I’ll see if I can floo there. I can’t wait until we get the chance to learn how to Appacrate. Then I can just zap myself anywhere I want and away from my aunt. Did you know she’s trying to be a ‘rent to me now? It’s way too late for that. Anyway write back soon and please don’t make me have to go over there and bang some heads together. It would be an attack on your masculinity if I had to save your Beau Boy ass.

- Paradox

The school year was ending and Sebastian couldn't be happier about that. His first year at Beauxbatons had certainly been an interesting one with some good and lots of bad. As he sat eating breakfast, Sebastian was happy to see Willow's owl soar toward him. After giving him a piece of toast, he took the letter of the owl's leg and began to read.
Paradox,

The more the merrier, and I am definitely looking forward to meeting this guy. I have to think of some embarassing stories to share with him. You, me and no trouble? I don't think those words can be in the same sentence. I don't really know anyone around town, but I hear there's a cool underground wizarding club somewhere around, so maybe the three of us can check it out. I just hope your guy knows what he's getting himself into hanging around the two of us.

Things with Trilby are still meh. I was serving detention the other day and she walked past me like she didn't even know who I was. And, then this dumb Strauss kid who was serving detention with me starting mouthing off about some rumors he'd heard about me and Trilby, so we ended up getting into a fight. Then, his stupid twin had to break it up. Whatever. So, thanks but no thanks Wil...I think I've sent the message for the rest of these Beau boys to leave me alone. Besides, even though I'm at Beauxbatons, I'll NEVER be a Beau boy. I don't think I own enough hairgel to fit the description, and I'm happy about that. I'll always be a Salem boy at heart.

Your aunt being a parent?! That's just plain funny. Too bad about that though, hope she doesn't take you dress shopping or something. It'd be weird if you went all girly on me. I'm not sure I'd be able to handle that.

Here's the address and see you soon.

Bas

Willow was back on her guitar though she was working on her vocals. She knew that she was going to need both to get through some of the summer. She hoped that Corvus was ok along with all of her friends. Willow was not a very popular girl at HNZ (and given the kind of girls that where Willow didn't want to be) but she had good friends in other countries. She noticed this when she was writing letter out the other day.
Bas,

Cool then if it's the kind of club that gives you greaf if you under seventeen all the better. I need a brake from rules after getting caught with something that this little third year Slytherin would have considered having. Anyway Corvus got a good gist of what we're about when he met me and we hung out the day after you went back to Beauxbatons. From the sound if it things are getting harsh over at that end.

Aw man I wish I would have been there. Together we would have made sure no Mo-Fo would come near us with fists ready to fight. Anyway I'm happy to hear that you got yourself out of this one. I still think that you need to make an effort to say sorry to Trib. I mean it sounded like you two where going to get along great and then nothing. Hey it's like me saying that I'll be a Hoggien for life. I'm in HNZ but I left my heart in Scotland. If I see you with your hair slicked back you know that our crew will have no hesetation in messing up the gel.

I know right? Penelope needs to go somewhere with that because I'm so not biting. Not after letting me do what I want for so long. The day I go girly is the day Hell sees snow. Thanks for the info and I will be seeing you soon enough.
