Isabella walked over to the lakefront with her mother's letter in her hand. For claiming this spot was her favorite spot in the entire castle, she hadn't visited it at all since she returned. She took a seat on the grass and sat down crossing her legs, glad that she wasn't wearing a dress this time but instead a cute pair of shorts with a blue sweater. The weather was nice for her, it wasn't too hot but not too cold either.

She sat there watching the water ripple in waves as the wind blew across it and wondered if the rumors of there being mermaids were true or not. Last year she hadn't come across any on her swim with Andrew, though she thought that was a good thing, she didn't think they'd be nice.

She looked down at her letter once more trying to decide what to write back. For some reason, she wasn't as upset by the news as her parents anticipated she would be.

Aiden was walking along the lake front, he was barely awake, he had woken up at 4 that morning and when he had slept he didn't sleep well. As Aiden walked he spotted Isabella, he smiled inwardly then walked over to her and sat down beside her and said in a hoarse voice, "Hey B." Aiden grinned at her then saw a letter in her hands and asked as he wrapped his arms around her waist, embracing her warmly, "Who is that from?"

Bella turned and looked up when she heard a familiar voice beside her. "Aiden!" she said pleasantly surprised as she gave him a quick hug. She welcomed the warmth his body gave and replied simply, "A letter from my mom." She paused before saying the news her mom had to say. "She said she's pregnant with twins," Bella said indifferently. She didn't know if she should be happy or not.

Aiden smiled at Bella and said, "That's great... right?" Aiden wasn't sure if Bella was happy or upset about this and hoped that she was alright with all of this. Aiden kissed her forehead gently then ran his hands through her hair softly.

Bella shrugged lightly. "I don't know I guess so right?" she asked with a small smile. "I think my parents expected me to be super angry," she said looking down at the letter as Aiden gave her a kiss on the forehead. "I haven't written back but I will soon," she said lightly, folding the letter and putting it in her pocket. She wanted her parents to let her pick the names out for them but first she had to think of some good ones. "But anyway, what's new with you?" she asked him with a bright smile.

Aiden shrugged his shoulders gently then said, "Oh well I wrote Rosaline, asking her about Professor Styx, but I haven't gotten any response yet it's getting a bit irritating, and Gaspard now knows that Lily is in New Zealand, and I think that Zazuka and I are.. alright, it's odd." Aiden frowned inwardly, as he continued speaking, "I saw James, he will be going to Durmstrang now, and I don't think Steph is over him, it's really worrisome. And you of course know that Alyssa is a part Veela, quite surprising isn't it?" Aiden chuckled inwardly at all of this, a lot had happened since they last saw each other.

"Wow," Isabella said with a small smirk on her face as Aiden said so much in seemingly one breathe. "Take a breather there," she joked sticking out her tongue lightly. She knew most of what he was talking about, glad that he and Zuka were starting to become friends, but that seemed to be the only good thing in all his news.

She frowned when she thought of Steph still not being over James and wondered what she could do to help her. She knew when Aiden had left for a bit with Spattergroit it had been the worst time of school so far but Steph had been there for her. "I'll try to cheer her up," Bella said quietly, still not sure of what she could do.
"I know about Alyssa but I wasn't surprised, she is the prettiest girl in school," she said shrugging. She knew Alyssa viewed it as a bad thing but she didn't think it was bad. "What will Lily do now that Gaspard knows?" she asked concerned. "And wait, what are you talking about with Professor Styx?" she asked with a huge question mark written all over her face.

Aiden chuckled slightly then grinned as Isabella said that she would try to cheer Steph up. "Alyssa may be pretty but you my dear are beautiful," Aiden kissed Isabella's cheek softly, then pulled her in closer to him. "Not sure, she owns Flourish and Blotts, she's always wanted to work at a book store, the family tree would probably say exactly where she is, but the tree is in France and Bulgaria." Aiden grinned slightly at this. "Well I think he might be a Death Eater, but I'm not too sure." Aiden shrugged his shoulders slightly and said, "Oh well, doesn't matter much."

"Aw thanks," she said sheepishly as she blushed when Aiden called her beautiful. He kissed her cheek and she instinctively put her arms around his waist as he pulled her closer. "So Lily is alright being here then?" she asked, hoping she was.

Then she smirked when she thought of Professor Styx being a Death Eater. Last year Professor Fletcher had angered her so she had spread rumors of him being an undercover Death Eater for fun, but Professor Styx being a Death Eater actually made more sense. "Woah," she said in realization. "Do you think Rosaline would know?" she asked curious. She wondered what would happen if he was and people found out.

Aiden smirked as he saw Bella's cheeks redden then he said, "I can only assume so, I haven't seen or written her since Gaspard saw us." Aiden nodded his head and said, "She went to Durmstrang, word on the street is that the Styx's are and were pretty well known, never mind the fact that my Uncle was killed by Death Eaters and she knows almost every death eaters name because of it." Aiden frowned as he thought of his Uncle. "Rosaline has a bit of a grudge against them," Aiden said lightly knowing for a fact that it was more then a grudge.

Isabella nodded thinking that it was good that Lily was okay to stay here. She remembered Aiden being worried about her for a while last year.

Bella was almost surprised to hear that Rosaline didn't like Death Eaters. She knew Aiden's family was full of them, after the letter she had read at Aiden's house she had even had nightmares about them, so hearing that one of his family members hated Death Eaters was a bit surprising. "Do you mind me asking why?" Bella asked softly with her eyebrows furrowed together.

Aiden sighed lightly then said, "My Uncle, her husband was murdered by Death Eaters, not to mention that her sister, My Mom was as well." Aiden frowned then shook his head and said, "Never mind, it's not a problem." Aiden hugged Isabella a little tighter before loosening up again. He looked over at the lake, smiling inwardly at this moment.

"Oohhh," Isabella said softly as Aiden told her why Rosaline hated them. "I'm sorry about that," she said frowning slightly. She knew Aiden's mom was a touchy subject for him. She looked over at him watching the lake and leaned in to kiss him on the cheek lightly. She decided to change the subject and said instead, "Have you heard there are mermaids in the lake?" She had never seen them but she had already heard many stories.

"Nah it's fine.. I shouldn't be so sensitive about it should I?" Aiden rolled his eyes at himself, he felt like such a girl. Aiden furrowed his eye brows at Isabella's question and said, "Well I've never seen any but, that would be quite interesting." Aiden grinned at Bella then asked curiously, "Have you seen any?"

"It's okay to be sensitive, you're only human after all," she reminded him unnecessarily and gave him an encouraging smile. "I like that you have a wide range of emotions," she said honestly chuckling a little. She thought of Theo who only seemed to have angry or indifferent and it had taken Bella forever to get any other emotion out of him.

"No I haven't seen any sadly," she said about the mermaids. "I've just heard stories." She stared at the lake as if expecting a mermaid to appear all of a sudden but doubted they would. "Maybe they're nocturnal or something," she thought out loud smiling inwardly at herself.

Aiden chuckled at her words and said, "I think they are like fish, they don't sleep." Aiden shrugged his shoulders and kissed the top of her head slightly and said, "I heard that one pulled a student in.. actually I think it was that blond girl we met at the beginning of the year.. Toni something or rather." Aiden laughed at the thought of this, he didn't know the girl at all, but he got the wrong vibe from her.

Isabella giggled lightly at both of Aiden's comments. "Really?" she asked in disbelief about a mermaid pulling a student in. "They don't seem like very nice creatures then," she commented absentmindedly while grabbing his hand and intertwining her fingers with his. "Toni?" she repeated when he said her name. "That's too bad!" Isabella said sadly. Toni was actually one of the few first years she liked for some reason, though she knew lots of people didn't like her.

[did they actually do it? i forgot? :p]

Aiden smiled as Bella intertwined their fingers then said sarcastically, "Oh yes, tis a shame." Aiden gave Bella a toothy grin before looking back over the water and pulling her close to him. Aiden got an idea and his eyes gleamed menacingly, but he decided he wouldn't do it, Bella would probably have a right fit if he put her in the water.

[Heck if I know! :ph43r: ]

Isabella willingly snuggled closer to Aiden as she felt him pull her in. "You don't like her do you?" she questioned him with a smirk as she noticed his sarcastic tone. She didn't mind that he didn't like her, he didn't have to like all her friends, though Toni was just an acquaintance. Just as long as he wasn't blatantly mean to her she didn't care. Isabella twirled her hair with her free hand as she waited for his answer.

Aiden shrugged his shoulders at Isabella's question and popped, "Nope." Aiden knew that Bella didn't mind after all i didn't seem like they were all that close, and Aiden didn't like many of her friends before that, so it didn't matter.
