Jakobe Hitachiin grinned happily as he pulled his good friend Scarlet through the corridors. Ever since the death of her brother, he had done all he could to make sure she was not alone. Aside from being with her when she was in the common room, Jakobe was with her at most other times in the day. He even walked her too and from class. He was pretty sure she was sick of him by now, but until she actually told him to leave, he was going to stay by her side. He didn't know how else to help her with the death of her brother, this was the only way he knew how to help her. He wasn't really good at things like this, so he thought that the best way to help her heal was to get her to try new things, like going to the Kitchens to eat cupcakes! That was something that always made him happy and he had already mentioned to the house elves that he would be down today, so they should be getting everything ready as he was on his way. He was holding Scarlet's hand again, something that had become natural for him to do whenever he saw her. It was just so much easier to pull her a long when he as holding her hand or her wrist or perhaps her arm. "Scar come on, I'm taking you to the Kitchens!"

Making his way down to the Kitchens with Scarlet in tow, Jakobe was determined to make her smile. He had been thinking up all sorts of ways to make her smile lately, but he had yet to come up with the perfect way. He was determined however, he wanted her to be happy. He knew it would be hard considering what she had just been through, but she owed it to him to at least smile and he owed it to her to make her happy. Reaching the Kitchens, Jakobe left Scarlet at the door and rushed in to find the house elves. "House elves! Do you have the cupcakes? I need them now!" He hoped they were ready, he didn't want this trip to be for nothing. Soon he smiled as half a dozen house elves appeared holding trays of cupcakes. Jakobe grinned and looked over his shoulder at Scarlet. He waved her over so that she could inspect the cupcakes. He hoped she like them, he had asked for many different types. Chocolate chip, strawberry, vanilla, oatmeal raisin, chocolate, english tea. Whatever they were, he hoped that Scarlet would fine one she liked. "The only thing better then eating a cupcake is eating them in a cupboard!" He told her, running over to the cupboard and throwing open the doors, noting that there was plenty of room for both of them. It would also allow Scarlet some sense of not being watched, because he knew she hated that. Jakobe climbed into the cupboard before waving over both Scarlet and the house elves. He grabbed a whole bunch of the cupcakes and sat them in his lap. "Scar, come one! Grab a handful and come on!"

Scarlet Joussane was nearly at the point of running rather than walking as her friend, Jakobe, pulled her along the corridors of the humongous castle. It had been an everyday routine for Jakobe to pick her up whenever she got out of the common room and she couldn't even fathom nor find out how he would know when she would leave the common room. Because she was pretty sure that she didn't have a specific time to leave unless it was for class. But somehow, whenever she was going out, she would always, always, always find the Ravenclaw waiting for her. It wasn't getting on her nerves. In fact, she almost found it too sweet. She had never experienced this kind of treatment and it had been all too new for her that she didn't know how to deal with it at first. Especially since he would always hold her hand whenever they were going somewhere. She was actually surprised that the redness in her face did not become a permanent thing on her face because she had slowly grown accustomed to it, albeit too slowly. Though, by now, she had actually found herself holding to Jakobe's hand as well because for her, him holding her hand told her that he wasn't leaving her anytime soon.

On this particular day, he had dragged her to the Kitchens and she was quite glad that he had not brought her anywhere close to the Charms classroom. Justin had gotten a professor position after all and Scarlet had wanted to avoid him as much as possible because she knew not what to say to her brother or how she should act just so he wouldn't worry about her too much. Her brother was still young and she had a lot of things on his shoulders already and she didn't need to add to that weight. Though, disregarding that matter she clearly had no idea as well why they were in the Kitchens at the very moment. That question in her mind was quickly answered when Jakobe had asked the house elves for cupcakes and Scarlet smiled lightly. She had quite the sweet tooth after all, and though she appreciated his effort very much, she wasn't up to eating lately, though she followed his lead. She looked at him though as if he grew another head. Why were they eating them in the cupboard? She looked at the house elves for answer but it seemed that they were just as confused as she was. But with his stubbornness, Scar already knew that she didn't have a say in this and just entered the cupboard, it was relatively big and she was sure both of them could easily fit, especially since she relatively smaller than he was. "O-okay," she muttered as she grabbed a bunch of cupcakes and placed them all her lap. Truth be told, she was only going to eat the strawberry one she had gotten that she found extremely delectable and the rest was for Jakobe. He loved cupcakes after all and she was not up to eating so she figured it was fine.
