November in New Zealand meant that the country was finally getting warm again. The sun was actually shining, and Anabelle didn't even put on a cardigan as she traveled outside. She was looking forward to the hotter months, but also enjoyed the fact that she wasn't going to be blistering hot as she took her books outside with her to study. Anabelle had somehow managed to scrape through her OWLs, and she was glad they were over, but on the other side of them, her Seventh Year loomed closer and the blonde couldn't believe that she was going to graduate so soon. Though she knew her parents would be upset about her less than perfect grades, Anabelle had forgiven herself for them, knowing that she wouldn't need them for the industry she was going to try and break into. The Slytherin was definitely getting better at makeup, both on herself and others, and she figured she knew enough spells to help her throughout her life without needing too much more study; but she was scared to leave the school behind. Anabelle wouldn't leave in her Seventh Year, even if her parents allowed it, as she was sure she'd miss the school terribly, and certain people that she'd have to leave behind.
Anabelle found a comfy spot by a tree, but she chose the side that wasn't in the shade. She leaned her back against the tree, reveling in the sun for a few moments before she had to begin studying.

It was getting closer to Aaron's last year at Hogwarts and his responsibilities were ramping up and he actually enjoyed his prefect duties more than ever. He realised now how important his classes were and how essential doing well in his exams was. He had no idea what he wanted to do after school but he knew that getting good grades was half the battle. Maddie had always wanted to travel the world and work with different magical creatures but Aaron didn't really see himself in that line of work, maybe something in the ministry would suit him?

The summer sun meant that the outside was more inviting than the inside for once so Aaron decided to take a walk around the grounds before finding his friends lounging around Gryffindor tower. He knew his two best friends would want to spend some time together before he came in as the third wheel. He loved his best friends but he didn't enjoy being a gooseberry all the time and he knew when he was being a nuisance.

Walking around the grounds was most enjoyable when the weather was this way. The Lake looked most inviting as he strolled past it and he swear he saw the mythical Giant Squid basking in the heat too. He shook his head and laughed to himself as he headed up to the Great Lawn but was soon stopped in his tracks when he saw a familiar blonde underneath one of the nearest trees. His stomach decided to do somersaults straight away (as it always did when he saw Anabelle) and he decided to walk over to the Slytherin girl. "H-Hi Ana. Enjoying the sun?" he said in an attempt to make conversation as he tried not to block the sun's rays.

Anabelle didn't need to shield her eyes from the sun to know who's voice was speaking to her, but she did it anyway, looking at the face of the boy she fancied. She hadn't felt so strongly about someone since Rory, and though she was still quite forward with Aaron, she enjoyed that they had taken their time to get to know each other. They had been moving at a nice and steady pace, but Anabelle wouldn't have minded if he decided he wanted to kiss her, or make things official. A smile quickly made it's way to the Slytherin girl's face as she made to respond. "Immensely. It's finally warm enough to not turn into an icicle, so I thought I'd better jump at the opportunity. How are you?"
