It was a beautiful day to be out and about. The Seventh year could not believe how quickly things had come and gone. He still remembered Sixth year, and Fifth year and Fourth year and even his first year, though that one was slightly less happier than others. He was glad to be in his seventh year, even though he knew he was going to feel home sick very soon. Graduation felt far too close, and NEWTs were this year! The Gryffindor thought that Sixth Year was heard, he had the sneaking suspicion that this year was going to be even harder. However, it was not going to happen just yet. The school year had yet to officially start. Classes were going to happen in a few days, but not just yet. The school was abuzz with first years and everyone settling in. Samual loved this time of year. He loved seeing the first years running around and having fun, it brought a smile to his face. He had already helped several first years find where they needed to go. They were so cute! Sammy was all too happy to help them. What surprised him was that they were so timid around him. He wasn't scary was he? He shook his head and left the castle, feeling the sun beaming down on him. The lawn was looking nice, the groundskeeper must take great care of it to keep it looking so lovely when they all return. Also, the lake was looking particularly sparkly today. Unlike every other time he left the Gryffindor common room, Sammy decided to sport his Gryffindor robes today, just to spice things up a little. He hadn't worn his actual robes when just walking around for a while, and they had certainly grown on him.

The rosebush was where the Gryffindor was heading. He had given Star instructions to meet him there. They hadn't been able to talk all through the holidays because he wasnt in the country, he wanted to catch up. He considered Star his best friend. Best friends often spoke. The rosebush was looking very pleasant today, it had yet to feel the effects of children running through it and tripping into its beautiful flowers. Samual took a deep breath of air and sighed. This had to be his favourite place. he looked around for an open space to sit and wait, he didn't want to have her having to look around for hours just to find him. There was a small clearing, and a series of rocks. If he was right, they were probably arranged to they could be sat on. The Gryffindor smiled as he approached one of the large rocks and sat down. It shouldn't take Star too long to meet him, she was often very punctual.

Star was standing with her feet in the lake. The sun was shinning and Star had been reading underneath the shade of the huge willow tree and she had had a sudden urge to take off her shoes and paddle in the lake. She did like to swim. She had never swam in the lake before. Maybe she would before the year was out just so she could say she did. The idea that there were mythical creatures in the lake slightly unnerved her. But even if she swam near the edge, when it was summer time. It was close, Star loved summer. So many beautiful flowers started blooming. She loved taking pictures of flowers and nature. She had her camera with her now. There was a lovely view of the mountains and she was currently taking a picture of two.She looked down at her feet and smiled. She wiggled her toes and took another picture, this time of her feet. She looked at her watched and her smile vanished. She was late. She was late for her meeting with Sammy. She quickly ran out of the lake and back towards her shoes, socks and book. She quickly picked them up and ran towards the Rosebush.

As she ran she kept dropping either a shoe, a sock or her book. It slowed her pace . People looked at her strangely and some laughed. Star wasn't really bothered. She was more concerned about getting to the rosebush. Finally she burst through into the rosebush. "I'm so so sorry"She said standing there in front of Sammy. She kind of just stood there not sure what to do. She was usually very quiet etc so to burst into the rosebush was most unlike her. After all the stress of the last few minutes she just sat down, quickly, dropping everything she had been holding, except for her camera which luckly was around her neck. She looked at Sammy, her breath finally calming down. Her hair had escaped from her ponytail and her cheeks were red. "Hey"She said smiling, her breath finally under control.

Samual swung his legs up and lent his elbows on his knees. He did not have a watch with him, but he could tell that a considerable amount of time had passed. Fortunately, Sammy was a very patient person. He did not mind waiting. His father had always told him that good things come to those that wait, and so far it had worked like that for the Gryffindor. Besides, if he had read his runes correctly, he remembered that they told him to be more patient this year. So he sat quietly, and watched the clouds. Clouds were such entertaining things. They often made him smile. Right now, he was looking at a cloud that looked a little bit like a duck. It was funny how they just continued to morph slowly and could look like something else entirely in the space of a few minutes. Like right now, it appeared to be more of a broom than a duck.

Samual was not expecting Star to randomly burst from the bushes. That was very surprising. So surprising, in fact, that he flew off the rock, and backward onto the ground. Sam cringed slightly at the pain and slowly picked himself up, using the rock for support. He smiled slightly as Star. She looked like she had just survived a tornado. "Hello Star. Why is it you always make me fall over?" First pillows, and now scaring the petals out of him. He sat beside her and laughed lightly. "Hello Star." He repeated. He began fixing her hair and smiled. "How are you? What happened? You look really rushed."

Star was usually very punctual. She had never been late before.. She was getting stuck in her head too often. Thinking too much and getting stuck in her own thoughts. She didn't know what she was going to do when she left this school. Here she was free to spend as much time in her head as much as she wanted, she more or else freelanced her way through school. She really needed to focus better or this was going to get worse. She was late for Sammy for gods sake. When had that happened before. Sammy was possibly her second favorite person in the world, she should never be late for him. Well now she was and she felt so bad. What was she like? She would hope this was the last time. She had prided herself being punctual. Oh well she would make sure it wouldn't happen again.

Star put her hands to her mouth. "Oh Sammy are you ok?"She asked worriedly when he fell off the rock. They really met the strangest of ways. "I'm so sorry"She said again, just resting on the floor. "Hello Sammy"She said smiling, her cheeks going red when he started fixing her hair. She managed to pick a clip out of her hair and she bashfully clipped back a piece of her hair. "I just lost track of time and realized I was late so I was rushing"She said smiling, her cheeks starting to regain their natural color. "I'm good otherwise, how are you?"She asked
