Like anyone, Penny has good days and bad days. On a good day she is funny, chatty, a little bit silly and a good friend. On a bad day, she is a nightmare. She has emotional outbursts, fury and paranoia which has made her look insane to outsiders. She has had a lot of trauma and she’s constantly running from her demons.

Prologue

This is Penny, she has blue eyes that subtly change with the light and her mood.
Her hair is long, blonde and wavy.
She is tall and slim.
Her bad habits are chewing her nails and frowning.​

Penny’s childhood is steeped in tragedy. Up until the year 2046 and aged seven, she was a happy and normal child. She lived on the North Shore of Auckland.

Tragically, her mother passed away after a brief period of sickness in 2046. After her death, their father moved the family to Wellington, away from the memories and closer to their remaining living grandparent who could help with childcare. A year passed and Penny was eight years old when the news broke that there had been an accident at the dragon sanctuary where her father worked, and he had been killed. Penny moved in with her grandmother who passed away when Penny was 18 years old.

These events have had a profound impact on Penny, she suffers with separation anxiety and paranoia at times. She puts herself out to the world as independent, determined and tough enough to kick your butt! But on the inside, she is a frightened little girl who wants her parents back.

Penny received a comfortable inheritance from all her loss which she carelessly spent in a short period of time running from her pain. She travelled before returning to New Zealand and getting herself a job at Eelop's.

Home Away From Hogwarts

This is Sevier Cottage, nicknamed the Wobbly Cottage, and Penny's ancestral home. The house was originally built in Cambridge, England and when her great-grandparents emigrated to New Zealand over 60 years ago, they used complex magic to transport their historic English home with them to the other side of the world. The move structurally compromised the house and it’s been on the wobbly side ever since, normally requiring strengthening charms after earthquakes, and so then the nickname Wobbly Cottage.

The house is wedged between two muggle houses with a concealment charm to make it undetectable to muggles. It appears small on the outside, bigger on the inside with three bedrooms, a library, kitchen, dining room and two sitting rooms. Penny thinks the house is an old, crumbling and dusty death-trap but she enjoys discovering old magical items lying about the place and feels comfort in knowing that it had been her mothers childhood home. Penny has resided at Wobbly Cottage since her family passed away and still lives there now.

First Year Summary​

An excited Penny arrived at Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. She's happy with her house even though she hates the dark dungeons. She settles in well and starts to make some friends.

Second Year Summary​

Penny tried her hand at Quidditch, making it onto the Slytherin Quidditch Team as Alt. Beater. And guess what? They won the Quidditch Cup. Penny didn't fall in love with Quidditch though and decided that one year on the team was enough for her.

Third Year Summary
Penny has become withdrawn this year and found it hard to keep up with all her lessons. She's had a lot going on as her grandmother has been poorly. She has started to look into her family history to learn more about herself and her heritage.

Fourth year to Graduation​

Penny was not very happy at Hogwarts in the latter years and became quite reclusive.
